the prophet and these rights as mentioned before it's not something that we get to know them based on our life experience or what human beings that get together to decide but rather it's based on the Revelation from Allah the Quran and the Sunnah of the prophet and to be obedient to Allah even if it's against our own desires even if it's against our backr grounds and what are we upon and how upbringing and whatever because this is Dean of Allah subhana Allah knows best and the outcome at the end of things is definitely is what is best for those who are obedient to Allah and his messenger sallallahu alhi wasallam one of these rights is the rights between the shepherd and the dependencies which is basically the ruler the people of authority versus the masses those who they are in charge of and uh this is such an important relationship in people's life and it's not left like that without guidelines in the Quran and the sunah of the Prophet throughout the history of mankind their life cannot be governed unless there's a people of authority in charge and then the masses of the people and how they interact with one another and what are the rights to be observed this is such an important one and it's important for the Believers to understand it and to abide with it even against uh it's against their Norm or the way the people are or the time that they live in so there's the rights of the ruler and then the rights of the subject or the masses of the people first of all the right of the ruler upon his people uh is to be obedient to him and this is one of the greatest of the rights that he has upon them is for them to be obedient to the one that is in charge of them to the people of authority as Allah clearly stated in the Quran you believe obey Allah and obey the messenger sallallahu alaihi wasallam and those who are in charge of you those who are in authority and their obedience is not by itself but it's part of The Obedience of Allah and his messenger sallallahu alaihi wasallam and as we would see unless they command the people to commit a sin that means there's no obedience in that but without undermining the other things without over throwing them and things of that nature as it will be mentioned the prophet he said whoever obeys me indeed he had obeyed Allah and whoever and whoever disobey me indeed he had disobeyed Allah and whoever obeys the Amir the ruler indeed he had obeyed me and whoever disobeys the ru the ruler he indeed had disobeyed me and this obedience to the The Obedience to the rulers include first of all to belief this is a matter of a this is the a the belief of the people ofnah to believe that it's mandatory to be obedient to the ruler and that it's part of The Obedience of Allah and his messenger sallallahu alaihi wasallam not because of matters of Dunya not because of some worldly gain you know the norm is when masses are not upon the Quran and the sunah of the prophet they're only obedient to the rulers if their life is pleasant and they have lots of wealth and their economy is good and M everything is great but then when things changes then they start being angry with the rulers and they want to overthrow the rulers and so on is it something that the Muslims are supposed to do that of course not their obedience to the rulers is a matter of Dean because Allah subhana T commanded us to be upon this and the prophet he said that three times types of people Allah subhana T would not look at them in the day of the day of Resurrection he would not purify them they would have a painful punishment one of them a man a man that he gave the pledge to his ruler only for worldly gain if the ruler give him from the worldly gain he's pleased he's happy with his ruler and if he's not given from The Dun he will be angry and this is actually the norm of what people are but for Muslims this is different they obedience to the ruler it's because Allah subhana T commanded them that's why it's obligatory to obey him in matters of in matters of goodness is it in in everything not in sins so as the prophet said upon the Muslim is to listen and to obey in what he loves and what he hates unless he's commanded to commit a sin if he's commanded to commit a sin there's no listening and obeying when it comes to the sin and in this Hadith is a clear evidence as he said that whoever obeys the rulers in the Disobedience of Allah then he is committing a sin but that doesn't mean that they would overthrow them as it going to be mentioned also later inshallah and that's why also part of these rights is that it's mandatory to be obedient to the ruler in whatever state that a person is in as the prophet he said that upon you is listening and obeying whether you are having difficult times or whether you are at ease whether you are energetic and having all kinds of good stuff or whether you are in state that you hate even if it's given to someone that doesn't deserve it and it's taken from you when you deserve it you still Listen and Obey it's an amazing Hadith because again when you examine the life of people imagine that people have a ruler that he is you know giving them all kinds of wealth and power and the life is economy is great everybody's happy you would find people they have no complaints but then if it's the other way around if things are difficult for them you know how many people they would continue to listen and to obey and see the Hadith says upon you is to listen and to obey in the difficulties and at times of ease so this is by the statement of the Prophet also one of these rights is to be patient with the Injustice that can come from the ruler and not to overthrow not to go against him and to try to overthrow him and to replace him by someone else and the prophet and this is Dean this is religion the prophet he said the best of your rulers are those who you love and they love you and they praise you and you praise them and the worst of your leaders are those who those who you hate and they hate they hate you and you curse them and I curse you so they said oh messenger of Allah should we oppose them with the sword to remove them from Power the prophet he said do not do so forbidding them from doing so as long as they are establishing the Salah among you and he said if you see from your ruler something that you dislike something that you hate then hate his action and do not take your hand away from being obedient to him that means do not overthrow them you still continue to listen and to obey so that also explains the Hadith of no obedience in matters of sins right meaning that you don't obey them when they command you to do a sin but at the same time you continue to listen and to obey matters you don't overthrow them as a result of that you don't say let's remove them and replace them this is all not permissible whatsoever and there's the in Muslim where the prophet he said you listen and to obey to the ruler even if your back is beaten even if your wealth is taken then listen and obey and this is by the clear instructions and command of the Prophet so we don't need to even talk about the wisdom behind it because this is a command from Allah subhana to listen and to obey that's why he said we don't see that means the people of this is not something that they're upon where they to overthrow our rulers to go against them to say we're not going to listen and to obey even if they are transgressing the limits even if they are committing injustices we don't make Dua against them and we don't take our hands away from their obedience meaning we don't become Renegade against them we don't oppose them but rather to keep the matter for them and to make Dua to Allah subhana wa tala for their uprightness and things of that nature as it's going to be mentioned inshallah in the coming points all of that is Dean so this is a matter of Dean regardless of the benefits and the losses and all of these types of things regardless of the ways of life of others this is what Allah subhana tala commanded us this is what the prophet Alat left us with and those who follow the commands of Allah that are successful in this life and in the Hereafter and it doesn't mean of course to approve what is evil we ask Allah subhana wa tala to make us among those who learn and to apply what we learn and to be obedient to Allah and we'll continue in next time so till next time I leave you with the protection of [Music] Allah [Music] for
