money so the prophet sallallah alaihi
wasallam told his companions and this
was on the
17th of the month of
Ramadan he told them that this is the
wealth

qur go out and capture it so this was
not a fight that the Muslims were
anticipating they just went because the
prophet said whoever is ready let's go
so they did not take full
armor and War machinery and
equipment it was something normal that
anyone could pick up and just move
out and the prophet

way he learned that the Caravan of Abu
sufyan changed their route that they
usually take and went by the
coast and he would reach Mecca in a day
or two so again the prophet
was late to
attack the Caravan on
time but he also learned that Abu sufyan
sent for quray to
come and rescue or protect their
wealth meanwhile Abu
sufyan after recognizing that he had
escaped with his Caravan the attempts of
the Muslim
sent another message to the people of
quray that we have been
saved and there's no need for you to
come out
with anything as your wealth and men and
lives have been saved and
protected the leader of the pagans of
the idol worshippers of the disbelievers
the leader of the
enemies of Islam Abu jahel the Pharaoh
of this
nation said in
arrogance that we would not go
back
and we will not turn back
until we
reach

he accepted it until

told him we will protect you in

Medina and it's a long way from Medina
so he just wanted to make sure that the
Muslims there were ready to
um fight and don't have any second
thoughts so when he heard this from s he
was encouraged sad said to him even if
you go to the middle of the sea we will
follow you so he was relieved by
that and they
started
preparation and they built a Hut over a
high
Hill for the prophet to manage
Alat where the Prophet spent the whole
night praying to Allah insisting on
Allah to grant them Victory and begging
and asking Allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala
saying that quray had come with their
arrogance and with their horses and with
all their might to falsify the message
of your own prophet oh Allah where is
the victory that you've promised me oh
Allah if this group of
Muslims is annihilated you will never be
worshiped on Earth again oh Allah grant
me the victory you've promised me and
Abu
Bakr calms him down and says oh prophet
of Allah Allah will answer your prayers
take it easy upon yourself and the

to fight with them but the prophet
said no let our own people fight them
first and he asked Hamza Ali
and to come forward and to fight Hamza
killed shba Ali

and exchanged blows withut and they
injured one another but then they
collaborated on utba and killed
him and the war
started and it
was a sight to
see a small group of men fighting an
army well equipped that is three times
bigger than
them and the number of camels is 10
times bigger than
them yet the prophet's
strategy and the strength and belief of
the
Believers with the Tranquility that
Allah put in their hearts
prevailed and soon
afterwards there were Angels coming to
support the Muslims against the
disbelievers where Allah mentioned this
in the
Quran Allah says yes if you remain
patient and conscious of Allah and the
enemy come upon you attacking in Rage
your Lord will enforce you with 5,000
angels having having marks of
Distinction and these
angels one of them could annihilate the
whole
Army could annihilate the whole city but
they were there
to morally support the Believers and
sometimes engage in supporting them in
their fights against the idol
worshippers it was a huge Victory to the
musl Muslims
where the idol worshippers were
defeated 70 of them were
captured and 70 of them were killed
while the
Muslims only lost 14
Martyrs the Muslims were ordered to
throw the bodies of the disbelievers in
the
wells while
the prisoners of
war the prophet Sall wasallam took the
advice of Abu
Bakr to exchange him for ransom that
would strengthen the financial ability
of Muslims in
Medina and whoever could
not pay the ransom he was forced to
teach
10 of the youngsters of Muslims how to
read and
write in exchange for his freedom and
this
was against the advice of Omar may Allah
be pleased with him Omar said prisoners
of Wars of War should be all executed on
the spot so that they would
feel the
pain of
being
oppressed they would feel the agony of
payback of the 13 years that they had
done to the Muslims in Mecca but the
prophet Sall wasallam took the advice of
Abu Bakr which
Allah told them that that was not the
right thing to do and Allah accepted it
but told them that next time you should
not do that and should you should not
show them any form of
leniency after all that they had
