alhamdulillah
in the name of Allah the compassion of
the merciful all praise is due to Allah
subhanahu wa taala and May the peace and
blessings of Allah be upon his Prophet
Muhammad his family his companions and
all of his followers until the day of
Resurrection I welcome you to this third
episode uh regarding the series of T
here at the Academy of zad and we are uh
coming to the third topic which is the
continuation from the previous episode
regarding the development of
the and science
of and we already talked about the
general in general uh terms about how it
developed first uh explaining or
interpreting the Glorious Quran by the
Glorious Quran itself and we gave
examples to that and secondly we talked
about the explanation of the Glorious
Quran by the Hadith of the Prophet
sallallah alai wasam and then thirdly we
are talking about uh the of and then the
of and then the of So today we're going
to cover three things which
is how the uh Companions of the Prophet
sallallahu alai wasallam
interpreted and explained the meaning of
the Glorious Quran well we know that the
uh of sah is very very important because
these are the people who
understood uh the Glorious Quran they
knew uh the uh context they knew the
events uh that took place during the
time of the Prophet peace they lived it
actually they were living all these uh
events events and when the Quran is
being revealed it really addresses uh
things that they know very well um and
in the most of the Glorious Quran um you
know talk talking about the prophet and
how he dealt with the companions uh
peace be uh may Allah be pleased with
them and uh also the uh regarding events
and and things that took place and
questions uh that were being asked
either uh by uh the companions or by uh
the Jews and the Christians or dealing
with the Hypocrites in Medina and so on
and so forth so you understand uh very
very important that the sahabah um their
is is the best uh of T after the tapere
of the Glorious Quran by um Allah subh
by the Glorious Quran itself or by the
prophets sallallahu alaihi wasallam and
they were following the same rule first
they uh take the explanation uh of the
Quran from the Quran itself and then
secondly the explanation of the Quran
from the Sunnah of the
prophet and then they would they would
ask the
prophet and they would understand what
it means uh look for example the example
you're given in your uh curriculum which
is what Allah says
in
so uh literally meaning when you when
when touching women or being in contact
with your own women meaning your own
wives reported in
his this by AB what is l l is not just
only touching but rather it means
intercourse because that what uh uh
makes a person um need to uh have a
complete or bath in order to be ready
forar and then to perform Salah or to
make ta and and to be um purified this
uh but the Quran did not say the word
intercourse because Quran uses very very
U
nice language uh take saying
L and Lum is not like L if if you know
the the word Arabic and the difference
between
and L is just like when when it's being
uh shared by by by both sides the man
and the woman that's one one one thing
abas
who and who is the most knowledgeable
among
the
um of the Glorious Quran um he explained
the saying of Allah subhana wa
tala so uh he
said which is the secret and what is
even more hidden um Beyond even uh uh
the secret is and he explained this by
saying sir which is the secret is what
you what you did yourself and is
whatever Allah has put in your heart but
you never did it so even something that
is very very much hidden uh because even
if you do it in secret someone may have
may may would be would be seeing you but
and of course uh
anything that is hidden is not known to
anyone one only you did it in your heart
you intended in your heart you wanted to
do it so Allah knows everything that
whether you do it privately on your own
without anyone seeing you for example
and even what is beyond that so that was
the explanation that was given by The
sahd Who also second to
AB in the in understanding the meaning
of the Glorious Quran who when talking
about this
Ayah this is
inah where Allah subh says that when uh
even uh uh they are put into into a
terror in their own hearts and U of
course they uh this is this is in on the
day of of judgment uh uh the Angels
would uh would would hear a voice um and
then they would go unconscious and then
uh they would when when this is being uh
taken away when when when no more terror
is uh is there uh
uh they would ask each other what your
lord has said and then some of them
would
say he said the truth and he is the most
high the most great that is how uh uh
anything that would happen it's not
sorry it's not on the day of it's it's
where the Angels um when are the
presence of Allah subhah wa ta'ala
um around the throne they would they
would sow that because we you know uh of
course this is the heavy saying of Allah
subhana wa T Allah uh speaks subhanahu
wa taala uh the the Angels would would
be unconscious out of all the fear um in
their heart of the uh Majesty of Allah
subhanahu wa taala and then that is that
is how this is being explained uh
exactly how is this happening and what
is being said and how the angels in fact
uh the Angels would uh uh would hear
this voice as like putting a chain of of
iron for example are being um you know
uh moved over uh Stones so they they
would hear this huge um voice and they
would uh fall into unconsciousness
because of of of that see that is uh the
explanation given
byb going into the
of of again uh is is another because are
the ones who are the students of the
companions they did not see the prophet
Alat wasam however they came in contact
with the uh companions who knew the
prophet directly who understood and
lived the event
um how on when the Quran was revealed
and then some of them like s IB jub and
uh and others uh let let me give you
this example when uh uh the Ayah
inah those who believed and
their own um descendants uh and
Offspring they follow them with Iman
with faith um we actually join them with
their
own uh
descendants and uh never uh
uh we we G we were short of of giving
them um or rewarding them for everything
so IB jab says
in this regard said that uh the
uh those who believed and their own
offsprings did uh some good deeds but
they were not in the same degree of Iman
and they did not deserve a higher rank
in in Jenna or Paradise but out of uh uh
generosity of Allah and to please those
who believed actually they uh Allah
would uh raise their own descendants to
join them in a higher uh uh place in
their own ranks just to increase their
Joy so that's that's how this is being
explained by
S regarding this this particular Ayah
now if I ask you about activities from
your own readings outside what are some
of the uh examples of the of and you'd
find that in the books of go ahead and
check out the books of tap particularly
IMB for example
or you'd find some of these examples and
also what do we learn from uh the saying
of Allah subhana
tala what is the meaning of that that is
the one let me go into the fifth uh part
which is the last um development of tap
which is the tap of the scholars of
Islam we know that the scholars of of
tap Scholars of of uh alquran actually
they were uh making tap through the
Glorious Quran and the Sunnah and the
sayings of sah and the saying of if they
don't find any reports that is
al they go into they go into
uh looking in this based on the Arabic
language on the understanding of the
Arabic language and you find that in
many books of in the earlier times and
then in the Contemporary times like
um by
IM and and all of the scholars of
Islam so they they would would tell you
and and of course I can mention many of
them who did uh this uh with with great
understanding of the Arabic language
they don't go in into uh contrast or
they don't explain the Glorious Quran in
any strange way or something that is out
of the normal but goes along the same
line of uh the interpretation of the
Quran by the Quran or interpretation of
the Quran by the Sunnah or by the
sayings of the sah or by the sayings
of like
Muhammed
Muhammed who's the
uh father of mu and then uh IM Al
Hussein Al IM Muhammad Ahmed
Alim
is
jalak and Muhammad Ali in his
book you'd find all these uh Scholars
who address this and uh if I give you
the activities regarding this then what
general terms do can you can you mention
about the the ways of tap so this this
is the development of T and uh the
various ways of um how we interpret the
Glorious Quran based on what and then
secondly how the scholars used to
interpret the Quran and is it possible
to interpret the Quran with your own
opinion and can you write uh an article
on this on this uh topic it's very very
important well we come to the end of our
uh lesson today we'll see you inshallah
