alhamdulillah muhamad
I start in the name of Allah the lord of
the worlds subhanahu wa
taala uh and May the peace and blessings
of Allah be upon his Prophet Muhammad
his family his companions and all of his
followers until the day of judgment and
today we are completing the uh uh lesson
regarding second type of tap we already
talked about the methodologies of the
muers uh and we started with uh the
methodology
of which is to interpret the Glorious
Quran with reports from the prophet Alat
by The
Prophet by The Companions and by the and
these books would include only what was
reported um by uh by these sources
without any addition except a few things
regarding linguistic meanings and uh
because you know Quran was was was uh
revealed in Arabic and also U it's very
important to understand the meaning of
this in the Arabic language because
spaced in Arabic it is an Arabic Quran
based in the Arabic language so it is
important to know also the grammar and
the morphology uh of Arabic and so on
now that is that is
regarding and we already talked about
some of the uh famous books uh that have
been uh written uh under that category
by the great Scholars like Al
IM
IM today we are talking about the second
category which is uh based
on now that one the first one
was this one is so based on reports or
by your the opinion of the MU himself
that he would explain based on his own
knowledge his own
understanding with some conditions
because you cannot interpret the
Glorious Quran without your you know a a
knowledge um from different fields a
knowledge of of many different uh
subjects and um and of course this is uh
really driving from the
uh
the and legal uh principles and uh
linguistic principles as well so it is
permissible
it is permissible to to interpret the
Quran with one's opinion based on the
following if they are so knowledgeable
of the Arabic language like um uh
grammar uh
morphology and rhetoric which is called
Al that which is which abrogates and
which is obligated because some
verses were obligated and some came you
know they were obligated by uh some
other ayas
and the reasons the reasons for
Revelation and aah as well because if
you don't know Hadith and you know what
was said by the prophet Alat or the
questions asked about the Glorious Quran
by the Sunnah then you would not uh have
an understanding of or you not be able
to make and you know what kind of of uh
you know the degree of Hadith um whether
this is being sound U or or
weak or and you have to understand as
well the principles of because these
principles obviously would would guide
you through the understanding of various
ayas and the context in is revealed
because there are many rules and
regulations that you'd find in uh the
verses of the Glorious Quran and and
unless you understand how to drive uh
dve the uh uh the rules out of these
ayas uh you would not be able to make to
make
tap is not a something simple and
accessible to anyone except those who
have this knowledge and who are
well-versed and and and that's why you'd
not find many authors although many many
scholars who have written t uh books but
also on the other hand there are many
many scholars who have not done it
because you have to be qualified and
they are careful not to indulge in such
a way as to interpret the Glorious Quran
unless really they are being and some of
them would spend years like uh tens of
years uh 30 40 years sometimes to write
uh a t of the Glorious Quran now it
means that it is prohibited to interpret
the Glorious Quran with one's opinion if
you do not have all these conditions
together not only one of them but but
all of them the linguistic uh part the
uh Shar science uh uh part and the
Sciences of the Glorious Quran itself
and the Sunnah and and all together they
should be combined and put together in
order to uh make sure that you are uh on
the correct path now under this category
of the T through di which is the
understanding and your own uh uh
judgment and and and and
knowledge there are two
types the first type is the blames
worthy or
interpretation this is based basically
on someone's uh whims and
desires and uh a person would say it out
of uh his own
without knowledge without uh full
understanding and this is of course
blames worthy and it's prohibited and
it's not allowed uh Allah subhana wa
ta'ala warns against this by
saying you should not seek um what you
have no knowledge of
verely uh uh
hearing uh uh sight and heart all are
responsible you are responsible about
and and and remember these three are the
sources of knowledge you learn through
hearing the sight and the heart which uh
receives the information process the
information keep the information you can
judge that information and so on so if
you have no knowledge then you should
not step into uh this this way do not go
after after what you have no knowledge
of and of course the most dangerous are
the matters of the religion all the
Sciences of the dean and obviously uh
the Glorious Quran comes on top because
it's it's about what Allah subhana says
and Allah also says in the Glorious
Quran
in so of course say meaning oh Prophet
Muhammad what has been h uh
prohibited what is really prohibited is
all the grave and major
sins and what this is apparent or hidden
and um
uh sin
sins and to transgress without do right
and to commit sh which is to take or
associate partners with Allah subhanahu
wa ta'ala without any any evidence
because there is no evidence for uh
someone who commits shik but Allah is
making this uh clear that do you have
evidence for that of course there is no
evidence and then the
finally and you say something about
Allah that you have no knowledge of so
this is prohibited it's very clear from
this Ayah that
no one shall indulge in this uh uh type
of T unless you are armed with tawa with
knowledge withas and with understanding
that is all important in order to have
this uh tap accepted alhamdulillah we
have so many great Scholars throughout
the history of Islam who conducted um
this kind of T and yet we uh came with
jewels um mashallah great books that
will open your heart to make the Quran
understandable uh to affect you to touch
your heart to uh come close to Allah
with true knowledge with true knowledge
not with uh someone's uh own uh
interpretation and so on so that is the
blames worthy let's come to the second
one which is the uh pra praiseworthy
praiseworthy is what depends on
scientific principles as as I said from
language and from uh the Shar Sciences
uh based on very very
uh very
articulate and and great uh uh uh
principles which is which is the right
methodology to indulge in
and it is permissible as we said from
the previous ay we talked about it's
prohibited not to do it if you don't
have that
knowledge see
also and the in the second
a so these are the two things that it it
shows that the reverse is true that if
you have the knowledge then obviously
you can say you can you can uh conduct
this kind
of um if if it is but one still is very
should be very careful in this regard
not to indulge in something and that it
he he says what seems to me say don't
say Allah meant this to be if you have
no knowledge of but you said what I feel
what I see what I can understand we can
uh induced from this we can we can find
out from uh such and such Ayah this kind
of meaning now there are many books that
are uh famous for this uh or either they
combine the
reports
from
with so either with opinion and uh one's
understanding and we find for
example

IMI although there are some remarks
regarding some of these books
where they uh sometimes fell into into
some issues like um reporting weak
hadiths or uh talk going uh uh to one
area of deviation uh like following or
or transmitting and taking from um Sufi
sources or uh the sources or from uh the
Shia sources and so on and so forth so
that is that that is very important to
be to be careful about and to make sure
that you do not conduct any uh T by
opinion unless you have these conditions
I ask Allah the almighty subhah wa tala
to guide us and to give us um the best
knowledge about his book and about the
Sunnah of the Prophet sallallahu alai
wasam and until I see you inshallah in
