back
alhamdulillah today's is the 10th Hadith
in the first level of the prophetic
Traditions the Hadith is narrated by the
great companion
Abu may Allah be pleased with him he
narrated that the messenger of Allah
peace be upon him said the strong
believer is better and dearer to Allah
than the weak believer although there is
goodness in
both then he said seeing that which is
benef icial for you seek the help of
Allah and do not feel helpless then if
anything befalls you do not say if only
I had done such and such then such and
such would have happened rather you
should say this is the decree of Allah
and what he Wills he does in
Arabic for the word if only which means
in Arabic op opens the door to the works
of Satan the Hadith is a sound Hadith
and it is collected by IM Muslim
now the term the strong believer in
Arabic strength of the believer in which
field in which sense does it mean a
strong believer in
faith the one who prays a lot the one
who stands up in the one who fasts every
other day uh the one who is very uh
regular in the recitation of the Quran
all of that the answer is yes in the
affirmative but the strong believer is
not limited to strength in faith only so
the song believer here who is preferred
and loved and dear to Allah is strong in
faith because it encourages him to more
to do more and more more good deeds and
he finds it easier than a person who is
lacking and lacking behind in faith and
also strong physically and strong
financially when you examine this word
and you realize that if somebody is
strong
financially so he's paying zaka maybe
tens of thousands that helps the poor
not only that the zaka is only 2.5% he's
very generous
so he sponsors 20 poor families and he
is looking after 200 orphans and the
other guy who is strong in bodybuilt he
exercises he trains he's in the military
the Muslim Army he is on the Muslim
borders protecting the Muslim borders he
is in the uh uh uh uh police force he's
guarding people while they are asleep
for the sake of Allah even though he's
earning his living as well he is
definitely dearer to Allah than the
person who's weak than the person who's
helpless than the person who's always
begging because the almighty Allah has
already declared that the best of deeds
and the dearest to
him helping people fulfilling their
needs being more
beneficial the dearest of all people to
Allah the one who is more beneficial to
them the one who is more helpful to
people so Allah loves those who help
others more than those who are receiving
the
help why because they could neglect that
they could say myself my family why
shall I take care of others but they do
this for the sake of Allah seeking the
pleasure of the almighty Allah
anticipating the word from Allah so
Allah loves them for these
qualities so
now
the strong believer comprises strong in
faith and belief in worship and practice
strong financially he's working hard
earning lawful earning and spending
generously in the charity whether the
mandatory charity or the voluntary
charity and strong physically so he's
able to help the weak and oppressed he
is able to join perhaps the Army to
protect the ERS of the Muslims or to
guard Muslims whenever they are asleep
so the word strong the strength here is
not limited only to Faith Faith along
with uh physical ability Financial
capacity as long as he is utilizing all
of that in a good sense the prophet
sallallahu alaihi wasallam has said
people in this in the life of this world
are one of four people number one a man
whom Allah blessed with plenty of wealth
he's very rich and knowledge so he
recognizes that this wealth of his Allah
has right in it poor have rights in it
family members have rights in it so he
dispenses those rights and gives
everyone their due rights the prophet
peace be upon him said he is the dearest
to Allah he is the most beloved to the
almighty
Allah then the prophet sallallahu alhi
wasallam said
even though there is goodness in both of
course once somebody says I believe in
the Oneness of Allah I do not associate
with Allah any in worship Allah is the
only God who is worthy of worship
and he declares the twin testimonies of
faith and he offers his acts of worship
he's dear to Allah and if he dies he
dies as a Believer and eventually he
will enter Heaven he's saved he's
eligible for salvation so the there is
definitely goodness in both but they
vary somebody who is dearer and somebody
who's just Dear somebody who is nearer
and somebody who is just near but
they're all loved by the almighty Allah
but he loves certain people more than
others why because of their righteous
qualities which include strengthen Faith
being helpful and assisting others and
fulfilling the needs of the Servants of
the almighty Allah then the messenger of
Allah says in the Hadith seek that which
is beneficial for
you always make sure to benefit out of
your time out of your work out of your
earning do whatever is good for you do
not waste your time the messenger of
Allah peace be upon him said If a person
his today and his tomorrow are alike
then he's a loser you must do something
new you must benefit yourself and those
who are around you what did you learn
today and uh you have to have an
objective you want to achieve and
subobjectives and you have to have plans
because if you fail to plan then simply
you're planning to fail you do not leave
things to Chances you prepare you plan
we have learned from the migration of
the Prophet sallallah alaihi wasallam
even though it was guaranteed that he
will arrive say to Medina but he drew
the plan and he executed it properly and
he prepared all the means that is the
meaning of put your trust in
Allah seek the help of Allah and do not
feel helpless but you
say and I put my trust in Allah while
doing whatever you required to do while
he striving hard you study in order to
become a doctor to become an engineer to
become a dentist to become a lawyer to
become an Imam to become whatever you
make an effort you strive hard to become
a rich person so that you can help
yourself take care of your family and
others that is the meaning of seek that
which benefits you seek the help of
Allah in everything you do even in
simple
matters you want
say you have any problem any issue in
your life seek the help of Allah say
Allah help is to be sought from the
almighty Allah and do not feel
helpless Allah's help is there it means
persist in striving and do not uh slow
down and do not let helplessness and
weariness overtake you after a short
period of time and say I've done enough
no there is nothing cool enough strive
and make an effort as long as you love
may Allah accept then
if things didn't go as you planned and
if anything befalls you which you didn't
like oh do not say I wish I haven't done
that if only I had done such and such
then such and such would have happened
no it was all decreed by
Allah you got to understand that what
befalls you is never going going to
escape
you and whatever es skipped you was
never going to befall you so you don't
say because you miss the flight oh my
God you know if I didn't stop so much at
this traffic light or if I left half
hour earlier listen your name was not
among the passengers in the record of
the preserved tablet Allah did not
ordain for you to be on that flight
you're not going to make it no matter
what happens so what should you say
instead of opening the door for Satan to
whisper to you and say I wish I've done
that or if if if if I would have done
that that because the word if in Arabic
La it opens the door to the entrance of
evil thoughts of
Satan it makes you doubting the decree
of Allah and the power of Allah so what
should I say I say
well Allah has decreed so and whatever
he has decreed he has
executed I've done my level best and
Allah knows best so for only uh for
saying if only opens the door
to the works of
Shan it opens the door to regret to
sorrow and intrusive negative thoughts
nothing makes Satan happier than making
a Believer
grief when a Believer Grieves feels
sorrow and grief and he's sad and
overwhelmed with sorrow and grief Shan
is happiest Allah says don't be grieved
don't be down don't feel depressed
say alhamdulillah for whatever Allah has
decreed you know when the matter is
already settled and it is not possible
to change what has happened just say so
here brothers and sisters very valuable
information um I want to share with you
uh saying if without any regrets for the
past and so on as in the verse uh in
in inah the almighty Allah says or it
means if there had been within the
heavens and earth Gods besides Allah
they both would have been
ruined verse number
22 so this is completely different than
saying if I have done this this is a
hypothetical Pro proposal if there was
more than one God on Heaven and Earth
they would have ruined but since they
have not been ruined that means that
there is only one one God Also may Allah
have mercy on him said this Hadith is
very beneficial because it refers to
several important principles of Faith
fact number one principle number one
that the almighty Allah has the
attributes of
loves
and so on and he loves in real sense as
he said so also the almighty Allah loves
that which is connected to his names and
attributes and whatever is in harmony
with him yeah I mean for example he is
the most strong the most powerful and he
loves a strong believer he is the one
who
uh loves
that which is odd in numbered OD
numbered in the prophet Sall Ali
wasallam has
said Allah is W he's only one and that's
why he likes the odd numbered so when
you when we drink and the prophet the
time of fasting he would break his fast
on three dates okay are
numbered and he is beautiful and he
loves
Beauty
another important principle is that the
almighty Allah's love for the Believers
varies it is not the same so he may love
someone more than another or some people
more than others what we need to do is
to see what makes Allah Allah loves
certain people more and then practice
that in order to be loved by Allah and
his messenger for innocence the almighty
Allah says in verse number 31 chapter
number three oh Muhammad tell your
followers
if you truly love Allah then follow me
follow the guidance of prophet Muhammad
and it return Allah will love you and
will forgive you your sins may Allah
make us among them and make us eligible
for his love and forgiveness until next
