alhamd in the name of Allah the
compassion of the merciful all praise is
due to Allah and May the peace and
blessings of Allah be upon his Prophet
Muhammad his followers his companions
until the day of judgment I'd like to
welcome you to this new uh series uh on
the tap number two so tap uh level two
in the zad academy and uh we are going
to cover in this level six suras six
suras that
is and so there are going to be uh six
suras with us and we are starting
with
soah or the news Allah the almighty says
subhah waala
after about what are they asking one
another about the great
news that over which they are in
disagreement no they're going to know no
they are going to know where
Allah uh starts or begins this Surah
with the
question uh by way of denouncing the
polytheists and what they are denying
which is the day of Resurrection where
he says about what are they uh uh asking
one another they are in
disagreement they don't know um for
certain whether this day of Resurrection
will take place or not they are divided
among themselves some of them say it
might might take place some others
saying it will not take place so they
are in doubt and they are in
disagreement and Allah
says already after provoking one's mind
regarding what the uh questioning of
each other was about he says
subh about the great news and and
normally it's not like uh regular news
that we we hear every day on on the
media but rather this is the greatest of
all news and that is the day of
Resurrection that is the day when
everybody will be brought uh from their
graves and from being dead into
resurrection and that's what the uh
disbelievers were talking about so they
are denying it and they are thinking
that it's unlikely going to uh to happen
Allah
answers that by
saying and and the word
as and by the way says regarding
this is is a is a linguist and he said
regarding this an is a great news not
any news but of course here any news of
significance is uh is indeed NE um and
unless it is of great news and
importance it will not be called an they
are going to know for sure so Allah is
threatening them Allah is warning them
by
saying and the word K in Arabic
translated as no or nay is a word of
rebuke and warning so really as we say
in
Arabic and so rebuke and warning which
usually nullifies what comes before it
so when you say you're going to
come you're not going to come or you
think you're not coming you'll be coming
so that is that is how the word K in
Arabic is used and you find that in many
verses uh throughout the Glorious
Quran and in this regard Allah subhah wa
ta'ala says um it is going to be
happening inevitably it's going to take
place and that's why he said it twice
subhah
waala is like
then is saying it repeatedly so it's
it's one statement
after one statement of the same
meaning it's exactly the same wording
no they're going to know no they're
going to know so Allah is uh shaking
them with with this and saying this is
the great news you're talking about and
of course you'll you know it for sure so
um this is how the warning is followed
by another warning what are the benefits
and what can we learn from these verses
well the benef the def the definite
article or as we say it in Arabic
indicates that this is a generic
term all the news the great news
regarding the prophet sallallahu alaihi
wasallam regarding the uh glorious Quran
regarding Islam regarding this the day
of Resurrection all of it
is part of this so this is really the
great news uh the Glorious Quran itself
is part of this neba or great news so um
this is
important not about a or a news but
rather the great news so that is the
benefit of the definite article and then
uh of course when we say the greatest um
of news is the Glorious Quran brought
all this and of course they denied uh
the day of Resurrection because of two
things uh because they are so stubborn
they uh think that there is no uh God
worthy of worship um and except their
their own Gods uh not Allah subhah waala
they're they're just so stubborn because
they found their their forefathers doing
it so they are emulating what their
forefathers are doing so that is
basically the reason and then of course
part of arrogance how can someone uh
come to us and try to change what we
have been doing for uh Generations our
forefathers were doing it and we are um
doing it happily And We Worship the
idols and so on so why is Muhammad peace
be upon him coming uh to change all of
that so what prevented them from
accepting this fact of about the day of
resurrection and its definite coming is
because of this stubbornness and
arrogance so that is the uh the second
part of this uh uh the uh the benefit of
of this of these ayas and then if we go
to activities and and this is going to
move your mind about is uh what would be
the psychological impact on your mind
when you hear the question about what
are they uh uh asking one another what
would come to your mind well think about
it obviously it's like to provoke your
mind to let you inquire and and and wait
for the answer
what are they asking each other about so
that is that is the uh the answer to
that and uh maybe you come with a
prolonged answer if you'd like and then
uh uh the SEC the Surah begins with a
question um and then of course that is
of course the the uh the answer to the
to to number a number B is the object
not being mentioned when you
say no they will know they will they're
going to know know what well of course
what we know is that yes the day the
greatest news which is the day of
Resurrection which will come so you're
in this life on is on a temporary basis
and you're going to be coming back to
Allah and then there will be a day of
Resurrection so this is um this life is
not the end of everything in fact it's
the beginning and the real life is the
one that comes after which
is the Hereafter so the object was was
not mentioned obviously because it is so
known so definite that it's going to
come and then thirdly the repetition of
the phrase why did Allah subhah wa tala
say it twice why did he
say twice well obviously this is to
emphasize the importance and the
greatness and the seriousness of this
matter which is that the day of
Resurrection is going to come so for
sure this is what will happen and this
is what they should be waiting for and
should stop uh uh asking one another
about but tell you know they should tell
each other that this is going to come
and believe in Allah
subh and in the day of judgment and we
know that the uh belief in the day of
judgment is one article of of Iman it's
part of your Iman and and faith is to
believe that the Hereafter is going to
come and the and the last day is going
to come where everybody everyone will be
raised from the dead and they will be uh
uh standing before Allah to hold them
accountable for what they did in this
life so this is going this is the um
first part uh of the of the Surah and
we're going to continue inshallah in the
coming episode regarding the uh uh uh
second uh uh part or pass pass passage
inshallah regarding uh the uh Surah of
NE inshallah in the coming episode until
then I leave you with Allah's care and
protection and I wish you all success
and learning more about the and
commentary about the Glorious Quran
