I start in the name of Allah the
compassionate the merciful all praise is
due to Allah the almighty and May the
peace and blessings of Allah be upon his
Prophet Muhammad his companions his
family and all of his followers until
the day of judgment welcome to this new
episode from the series of T level two
at Zed Academy and today we are going to
continue the T of Surah an
or or what is known as the great news so
that is the uh uh uh subject of today's
episode and we're going to continue with
the Ayah uh starting
with of course after Allah subh started
with a few ayas regarding uh the dispute
among the disbelievers regarding the day
of judgment he's saying to give them the
evidence and the proof from what they
can see and observe in this life he said
subhanahu
waala have we not made the earth a
resting
place and the mountains as
pegs and we created you in pairs
and we made your
sleep uh a means for
rust and we made the
night as
clothing and we made the
day uh uh for
livelihood and we constructed above you
seven strong
heavens and we uh made therein a burning
lamp and sent down from the rain clouds
pouring water
so that we may bring forth their by
grain and
vegetation and Gardens of twinned growth
so that is these These are the verses um
from 6 to 16 10 ay in uh the Surah
regarding what will uh
you know addressing the the subject of
the day of resurrection and thinking
about what Allah has made subh so uh uh
starting with the first one have we not
make the Earth or have we not made the
earth a resting place the word miad miad
is translating as a resting place to
refer to something that is spread out
actually Allah subhana wa tal made the
earth flat and made it spread out and
smooth and prepared to uh uh live on and
and for for for the well-being uh of of
people so it's not too solid it's not
too soft Allah made it perfect for them
to live um in in uh to live on and to to
be suitable for your livelihood and
Allah says um in another
Ayah remember
in so he who made for you the Earth Abed
meaning spread out so that is in al Bak
Ayah
22 and he made and the mountains as pegs
so mountains are there to uh uh make the
Earth or hold it study uh or steady and
so that it will be stable and not to
shift about so that is how the purpose
of of uh of having mountains as uh the
author says the geologists uh say that
uh the mountains have roots that go so
deep into into the Earth like pegs which
are driven so deep into either walls or
um the ground Allah
says and we made you or created you in
pairs in pairs meaning in types so not
not necessarily like like like pairs uh
that fit and uh complement each other or
go um you know one against the other
meaning uh types not necessarily in
Conflict but rather look at how these
pairs as Allah
says this is
in and from and of all things we created
two mates so Allah created pairs for
from everything
uh subhanahu wa ta'ala as as there are
males and females as there are days and
nights good and evil uh ugly and and and
beautiful uh good and bad and we have
also the uh tall and short uh this this
is the the kind of black and white this
is the creation of Allah subhana tala
and this and this this is phenomenon of
uh fairness that is found in the
creation of Allah subhah wa ta'ala and
made your sleep a means of rest so
subata the word subata as a Jud who's a
linguist said that subata meaning thatth
when a person is is is rest so to stop
moving while the spirit is still in the
body so it's it's a it's a rest for the
body and the rest and and the spirit is
also rest but still alive inside the
body so the night is for you to sleep to
get some rest to get ready for another
day of activity uh and the root meaning
of the word
SE it's important always to refer to
Arabic uh because Quran was revealed in
Arabic it's read in Arabic it's
understood in Arabic so very important
to understand and know the language so
uh the word Sab or is derived from
meaning sensation in other words it's to
seize toiling uh so that uh one may stop
working and rest Allah subhah wa tala
had made made the night
um asleep as as a cover for people so
they may stop the movement and get some
rest so that is that is how the uh uh uh
the night was was made a rest and and
and sleep was was also a rest and made
the night as clothing meaning like a
cover the darkness of the night is a
cover as Allah says subhanahu wa taala
inah and by the night uh when it
covers and another in Surah also the
Surah of the night Allah
says when the night is is is covering
meaning is like being uh clothing or
encompassing everything with
darkness
andb two of the uh Scholars uh of T say
that uh in the time when when it becomes
like meaning that is the meaning
of and
it becomes still and rest so that is
that is the meaning and made the day for
livelihood well in contrast to the to
the night which is for rest Allah is
making the day for livelihood where you
go after your own needs you go and and
live your life uh and do your go about
your your own business that is
how Allah subh made the day and the
night and this is similar to what Allah
says
inah
uh and of his
signs so uh and of his signs is your
sleep at night and the day and you're
seeking of his Bounty so you seek his
Bounty during the day
you uh sleep at night and you have some
some rest although you may sleep during
the day also to get some rest Allah
subhah wa ta'ala describes the heavens
as strong as when he said we
constructed we and and and the heaven we
constructed with uh and of course we
constructed above you seven strong
Heavens so
Allah so Allah constructed these seven
uh strong Heavens that are solidly and
uh well built and firmly built in their
own place so that it's just like a cover
for for the for the Earth and they're so
strong they will not fall on on Earth as
uh they're not dependent with that they
don't have any poles to depend on
nothing to stand on but rather strong
ones that are in the uh in the open
space by the grace of Allah subhana
waala as he said
inah and the heavens we constructed with
strength
was so that is the the strength then
Allah mentions some of the uh benefits
of of the Sun
we built a burning lamp of course lamp
that enlightened the the whole the whole
world it shines and and covers the whole
world with with light that is the uh
purpose of the Sun but the sun is in
itself in if itself is very very hot and
it's really burning and look if any
object comes to it it will be
burning um you know that that that uh
object um unless it's you know
calculated within a certain uh distance
and that is the uh plan and creation of
Allah subhana T who created everything
in Perfection so Allah made the sun look
at the sun meaning thinking about all
this that is found within the nature
where you live that Allah subh created
all this for for us and he created the
Sun the night the day and so on so uh
it's interesting and that's why uh you
know the prophet Alat wasam says
regarding the sun um when it's so
extremely hot uh wait to
pray uh until it cools so meaning don't
pray in the beginning of the time when
it's so
hot wait until uh the sun cools a bit
and then uh for extreme he heat is an
oxolation from from Hell
Fire meaning it is from the exhalation
from Hell Fire as this was reported in
the Hadith and uh of course uh both the
very strong cold and very strong heat is
uh is is within uh Janam or or the uh
fire Allah says as
in
meaning of IM Muslim which collected the
most authentic hadiths he
saidat the fire complained to its
Lord Oh Lord parts of me are consuming
the other parts so he gave it uh
permission to Exhale
twice uh one in the
winter and once in the
summer and that is when you ex
experience the extreme heat and extreme
cold
that so cold is
called and
heat is called so we have both the
extreme heat and the extreme cold within
Hellfire may Allah forbid us from uh uh
being in that uh kind in that state so
that that brings us to uh the end of uh
today's uh episode we'll continue
inshallah uh because after this more
signs of Allah's uh uh ability and
creation subhanahu wa ta'ala and the
Perfection of what he what he did subhah
wa tala until I meet you inshallah in
the coming episode I leave you with
