alhamdulillah
now when it comes to voluntary
prayers we have to
understand that there are
times during the day and night that are
prohibited for us to offer
prayer and these are three
times mentioned in the
Hadith the prophet Alat wasam
prohibited praying voluntary prayers
after F
prayer until the sun rises and this is
agreed upon by bukari and
Muslim so what is this time
exactly when I pray
fer after concluding my fjer prayer the
sun has not risen yet so I have have to
wait if I want to offer voluntary
prayers until the sun
rises and until it rises
approximately between 10 to 12 hours uh
20 to 10 to 12
minutes after
Sunrise then I can
pray and also this is backed by the
Hadith where the Prophet saidat there is
no prayer after fjer prayer until the
sun has risen and the other Hadith pray
fer prayer then refrain from praying
until the sun has risen and become
high this is the first
time that is restricted for us to pray
the second time is at mid day when the
sun is in the middle of the
sky and this is when an erect object has
no shade to
it so
before the aan of how do we know thean
of if you remember the first term the
first
semester we spoke about the timings of
Salat when an erect object
has no shade to it it's prohibited to
pray once the Sun goes to the west and
there is a
shade to the east this is known as zaal
time this is when the aan of takes
place so this 12 minutes 10 to 12
minutes
approximately when before the zaal takes
place before the
this is a time of prohibition to
pray the evidence thei of may Allah be
pleased with him he said that there are
three times at which the prophet Alam
would forbid us to pray or to bury our
dead when the sun begins to rise until
it's fully risen when it is directly
overhead at midday until it begins
begins to decline and when it begins to
set until it has fully
set so this is the second time the third
time is after offering prayer
Till The Sun fully sets the prophet said
there is no prayer after prayer until
the sun has
set why why would such a
Prohibition be enforced upon us I'm
praying for
Allah well number
one as Muslims we
comply and do not go into
why we
say we hear and adhere and follow and
obey
secondly the prophet told usat
that the Satan
worshippers
and the
disbelievers prostrate and pray when the
Sun rises and when the sun
sets so as Muslims we avoid
imitating the
disbelievers in whatever is part of
their religion and this is why the
prophet sallallahu alhi wasallam also
indicated to us that at that time hell
is
stoked so this is the time at the middle
of the day when the sun is in the middle
of the sky when the hell is stoked so we
refrain from praying to it as well as
when the Sun is setting and the sun is
rising the prophet said and when it sets
it sets between the two sides of the
head of the devil where it rises it Also
Rises between his two horns or sides of
his head so we avoid imitating the
disbelievers in their rituals even
though we are praying for the sake of
Allah now these times of
restrictions are
they for all types of prayers or there
are exemptions and
exceptions this is an issue of dispute
among Scholars and the most authentic
opinion is that these times of
restrictions are limited to voluntary
prayers that have no proper for
justification and
cause
so if a person enters a
Masjid and he had already prayed ass and
there is an hour to
Sunset should he sit
down or should he pray
well we know that this is a time of
restriction to pray but also we know
that the prophet Sall wasallam
prohibited us from sitting down
in a Masid before praying two so H what
to
do the answer is you pray two raas and
sit down what about the time of
restrictions we say this is an
exception how did you reach the
conclusion that this is an
exception it's very
simple whatever has a probable cause or
reason or a justif ification can be
prayed at times of
restrictions for example if I
missed F prayer forgot it totally prayed
prayed and came to the
Masjid and sat down after Assa prayer
then I remembered that whoa I didn't
pray F prayer can I pray it the answer
is yes you
must but the problem is that if I want
to pray it it is a time of restriction
how should I do this well it is very
simple and very
easy because it is a time of
restriction the prophet
Alat instructed us allowed us to do this
because
of it being a
priority number two if the sun
eclipse should we pray it or because we
prayed we can't we should number three
if we prayed and there's a funeral that
needs to be buried can we offer the
funeral prayer the answer is yes we
can and so on so this means that any
prayer that has a legitimate reason
whether
it's whether it is the two of
w it can be prayed at the times of
restrictions whether it is the two ra of
ta it can be prayed without any problem
and
