alhamdulillah my dear students wel come
back with the fourth Hadith in the
second level of the prophetic Noel
collection of a Hadith and today
inshallah we're going to study one
Hadith narrated by
Malik with two different narrations the
Hadith is classified as a s Hadith both
narrations so let's learn the first
narration and inshallah we'll proceed
towards the second and the brief
explanation of both narrations and
inshallah what we learn out of this uh
amazing
narrated he said that the messenger of
Allah peace be upon him said there will
come a time when the one who is patient
and is steadfast in adhering to his
religion will be like the one who is
holding onto a burning
coal or sming
Ember this narration is collected by
Imam
and as I said it is classified as a by
Al may Allah have mercy on him there is
another narration though which is
collected by IM and also class
as in the second narration also an Malik
may Allah be pleased with him said that
the messenger of Allah sallallah alaihi
wasallam said ahead of you are days that
will require patience and steadfastness
during which the one who is
steadfast uh as steadfast as you are
will have a world like the 50 of you the
companion said Yool Allah oh prophet of
Allah or like 50 of them so he said
peace be upon him now like 50 of
you the Hadith delivers abish and also
it prophesies that some tribulations
head of the companions the prophet
sallallahu alaihi wasallam who
addressing the
companions the narrator is
uh the prophet was warning his
companions that the time will come where
tribulations trials confusions and fitan
whether the fitan of doubtful matters or
misconceptions or the fitan of desire
and lustful desires will be very
overwhelming to the extent that people
will startop Falling one after another
in these tribulations and those who will
remain
steadfast they practice their Dean they
pray on time they observe the Quran and
its teaching they enjoying what is good
they forbid what is evil they maintain
steadfastness on the straight path even
if everyone around them is going in the
wrong direction when the Innovations
will become so widespread they will hold
fast onto the religion unto the Sunnah
and the guidance of the messenger of
Allah peace be upon him the prophet
sallallahu alaihi wasallam resembl them
resemble such believers who will be uh
holding fast onto the religion
maintaining their steadfastness on the
straight path and following strictly the
guidance of the Prophet s wasallam to
somebody who's holding in his palm or
holding in his hand a life coal a
burning
coal
obviously ordinary people cannot bear
for a moment to keep a burning coal in
their hand let alone to have a fist a
tight fist on it to grab hold of f so
the prophet sallallah alaihi wasallam is
telling the companions that the time
will come when
tribulations when fitt and confusions
will become so widespread that those who
will avoid them those who remain
religiously committed those who will
remain following the Sunnah of prophet
Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam will
look odd and it will be very severe for
them and it would require a great deal
of
patience similar to the person who is
holding on the the smoldering Ember or
the burning coal or life coal and then
in the second narration the prophet
sallallahu alaihi wasallam said uh a
person who remain steadfast during the
trival on
times his reward will be similar to the
reward of 50 of the
companions so the companions of the
Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam
asked 50 of us or 50 of them why did
they ask this question they ask this
question because the Quran repeatedly
admire the companions of the Prophet
sallallahu alaihi wasallam both Al an
and
Al and he recorded Allah
saying Allah is definitely pleased with
them and they will be pleased with him
they're pleased with the almighty Allah
and in many occasions the Quran uh
admired them praised them uh delivered
Glad Tidings to huge numbers of them
that they are already among the dewers
of Heaven such as those, 14400
companions who
performed with the prophet sallallahu
alaihi wasallam and attended the Treaty
of Al in Alat the almighty Allah
declared
Allah is already indeed pleased with the
Believers who give you the Pledge of
Allegiance when you were sitting in the
shade of the tree, 1400 companions were
given bishar in one shot that there will
be among the people of paradise and also
314 who attended the Battle of bad and
in many other occasions so generally
speaking Allah the almighty admire the
companions both Al Anar and Al muhaj
and then the prophet sallai wasam stated
in many Hadith the superiority of the
Companions and he said that anyone who
will come after them even if he happen
to be extremely rich that he happen to
give away in a charity the like of the
Mountain of of gold if he possessed that
much gold and he gave it
away for the sake of Allah it will not
be equivalent
to a handful of food or half of that was
given by one of the
companions why because of the honor of
the companionship to the prophet sallam
it is enough to know that those
companions have seen the prophet Sall
wasallam have met with the messenger of
Allah sat with him and heard from him
directly and they supported him in the
early stage of The Da when when one
would accept Islam will be taken a big
risk it could cost him his life his
family his wealth and the whole world
but they did whatever they did for the
sake of Allah out of loving Allah
believing in him and loving Prophet
Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam and
stly following him so when the
companions inquired about that it was
logical because how come that the
messenger of Allah says the best of
people My Generation my companions both
then the next
best the following generation those who
meet with the companions even though
they didn't meet with the messenger of
Allah then the
following who meet with the second
generation and they didn't get to meet
with any of the companions so how
could they know that mean while the
prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam says
the word of a person who will come
during the times of tribulations
when tribulations will become so
widespread sin and sinners become
overwhelmingly spread then he says the
word of one who will hold fast onto his
religion would be similar to the word of
50 of the companions the prophet of
Allah peace be upon him said yes indeed
50 of
you because you guys have people to
support you to help you to do what is
good look among you is the messenger of
Allah among you the great companions Abu
Bakr Omar Ali
ABD they give you steadfastness they
give you strength they give you guidance
but those people who will come later
such as during our time will experience
a great deal of hardship in following
strictly the religious instructions and
the guidance of the Prophet sallallahu
alhi wasallam that's why why Allah will
augment for them the reward so much it
will be similar to the reward of 50 of
you may Allah have mercy on him said the
one who does righteous Deeds among them
will have the reward of 5 few that
doesn't mean that anyone who will come
after the companions will be better than
the companions no comparison so augment
the word doesn't mean that they're
superior to the companions the
companions maintain superiority
according to the Quran and the
straightforward Hadith but those who
will come after they will have their
word augmented so much but it doesn't
mean that they are better by any mean
than the companions of the Prophet
sallallah alaihi
wasallam wasallam wanted to highlight in
this Hadith the severity of tribulation
and confusion that will occur by the end
of time H by the end of time doesn't
mean that towards the day of judgment no
it started a few um centuries after the
prophet sallallah Ali wasallam
immediately a lot of tribulation to the
extent
that may Allah have mercy on him pointed
out this meaning in his own time so he
believed that uh this is the time of
patience who can hold on to that which
is like a burning Ember a burning coat
so that he will be saved from the
tribulation
Al may Allah have mercy on him as well
said there are many Hadith which praise
the one who is fast and he's adhering to
his religion at the time at the end of
time or at the time of tribulation or
the times of fan and trials and so on
um and uh what we learn from the Hadith
briefly number one that the Hadith
advises people to think of what will
happen and prepare themselves for such
situation so the prophet Sall wasallam
shared with his companions many
prophecies and that's why he advise them
to take advantage of the time where they
will be able or they were able to
observe offer the prayers give dawa
before the time will come where they
will not have access to do so whether a
person will fall ill or the time of
tribulation will begin or or or also
this Hadith Compares an abstract idea
with something which is tangible and
this is something very common in the
Sunnah of the prophet sallallahu alaihi
wasallam in order to make the audience
comprehend what is going on so in order
in other words the one who is steadfast
in adhering to the ruling of the Quran
and the guidance of the Prophet
sallallah Al wasallam will suffer
hardships and
difficulties uh at the hands of uh the
criminals the innovators the followers
of misguidance the people who may claim
to be Muslims and they're not actually
practicing Islam and so on in the same
way that a person who puts in his hand a
burning coal and he's required to hold
on to it it will be burning it will
require a lot of patience it will very
it will be very painful likewise so this
is what is meant by uh comparing what is
an abstract idea to something which is
uh tangible so that the audience
comprehend the
meaning may Allah have mercy on him uh
um
said describing the qualities of those
at the End of Time concerning whom the
prophet s wasallam expressed admiration
and positive Envy he said number one
they hold fast to the Sunnah when people
are stepping away from it they stay away
from Innovations when a lot of people
adopt Innovations they show full
Devotion to Allah by affirming his
Oneness even if most people denounce
that they do not claim to belong to
anyone except Allah and his messenger
sallallahu alaihi wasallam whether it is
a sh or or M or a group or whatever may
Allah the almighty keep us all stead
fast on his straight path and until next
