Kind: captions Language: en [Music] AC [Music] alhamdulillah it is the consensus of Companions and Scholars and all Muslims that the prophet Alat wasam had a beard and it was described that he had a thick beard Al may Allah be pleased with him said the prophet had a thick beard and he is the one himself who said honor the beard let let go of the beard grow your beards and cut short your mustaches and go against the fire worshippers don't do what they do by shaving your beards the ruling of Shaving the beard the consensus of Scholars that this is prohibited and sinful for men to shave gave their beards so what's the ruling on trimming it and cutting it short the most authentic opinion is that this is not permissible yes there is an a dispute or a difference of opinion among Scholars of on the ruling of trimming it based on the Hadith of Abdullah Omar may Allah be pleased with him that he as a companion whenever he performed Hajj he used to shave his head and hold on to his beard and cut whatever exceeds a fist length but the scholars said that this is I Omar's understanding that it goes against what he had narrated and the norm is or the default is that we follow whatever the companion narrated not what he had done or understood because the vast majority of of companions did not trim their beards and this is what she IB baz may Allah have mercy on his soul concluded that there is no evidence in following what IB Omar had done because what counts is what he narrated not what he had done he's a companion he may make mistakes while his narration is undoubtful and unmistakable what about the mustache the mustache is also an issue of dispute some Scholars say it has to be shaved like the hanfi school of thought and the hamali school of thought and they take this ruling from different narrations of the Hadith which may indicate that the prophet had said do excessively remove the mustache so they thought that this meant that it should be shaved while the Maliki school of thought and the shaf school of thought say that it must not be shaved rather it should be trimmed Imam Malik was very strict on those who shaved their mustaches saying that they should be reprimanded and the evidence is the Hadith of abuur may Allah be pleased with him that the prophet saidat there are five characteristics of nature circumcision removing the pubic hair and shortening cutting short your mustache so here he did not say shave rather he said cutting short and also may Allah be pleased with him like many Arabs he used to have a very thick and long mustache so the prophet himself cut it short for me on the edge of a miswak it t of miswak he put it on his lip and then he cut it short which indicates that he did not shave it and the best is when you cut your mustache to the extent that your upper lip is visible and can be seen so this is the beard and the mustache of the Prophet Sall wasam now when we say that the prophet had a thick beard some of the T asked the companions did the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam recite the Quran in silent prayers like and the companion said yes so the asked how did you know if it was silent so the the companion said we used to see the trembling of his beard from behind him so we knew that he was moving his jaws and lips with recitation because the beard was trembling now you tell me if you're standing behind a person and you're looking at him from his back how big is his beard should be so that you can see visibly that it was trembling and moving if he were to recite something silently so this meant that the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam had a big beard now how was his physique sallallahu alaih alhi wasallam as stated earlier the prophet sallallahu Al wasallam was in the middle he had the perfect body the perfect everything the companions stated that he had a beautiful body symmetrically in proportion he was neither tall nor short and he was when described a bit tall but you wouldn't say that he was really really tall and you could not see any anything in his body or in how he looked that did not fit correctly and right whenever the prophet Sall wasallam walked with tall people he would look as tall as they were and whenever he was in between two tall people he wouldn't look short rather one way or the other people would see them to be almost in the same height so when these to two people part their ways and he's alone people would describe him not to be so tall or short whenever the prophet sallallah wasallam sat next to someone his shoulders would be higher than that person sitting to him and this is a gift from Allah from Allah to his prophet and this is what may Allah be pleased with him and with his father described the prophet sallai wasallam not to be tall and not to be short he was in average height but he was proportionately beautiful and at the same time uh um he stood out in a crowd to be the best of the best the prophet had am long arms but it was in proportion to the rest of his body not that you could see his arms too long that sometimes you see people with two long arms and you say oh that doesn't look right not the prophet wasam his arms had hair on them and his bone structure was bigam so he had thick uh uh fingers his back was broad his shoulders were broad so his back was big and large and beautiful when looked at as if it's a bar of silver because it's so straight and so pure and clear may Allah be pleased with him he said that the prophet Sall wasallam wore his from at night I looked at his back and it looked as if it was a bar of silver mother AA says the prophet Sall wasallam had wide and broad shoulders and he had this hairline from his chest to his Naval that extended all the way as for his skin tone the prophet was white sallallahu alaihi wasallam with a tint of redness a little bit dark but he was not black and he was not dark per se anas Malik may Allah be pleased with him said that the prophet sallallah alaihi wasallam was was neither too white like the Europeans nor was he black like the people from Africa but rather he was white with a tint of redness in his Chic s [Music] acad m
