alhamd
in the name of Allah the compassion the
merciful all praise is due to Allah the
almighty and May the peace and blessings
of Allah be upon his Prophet muhammmad
his family his companions and his
followers all until the day of
Resurrection I welcome you to this new
episode of the series of T level two at
zad Academy and we reached into the end
of Surah abasa where Allah all subhana T
says of course there's still some uh
part which we will cover later inshallah
so Allah
says the meaning of which is then let
man look at his
food how we poured down water in turns
in
turn then we broke open the
Earth splitting
it splitting it with
Sprouts meaning to grow the
Sprouts from
within and we caused to grow within it
grain grapes and
herbage and
olives and palm trees and Gardens of
dense strawbery
and fruit and
grass as enjoyment for you and you're
grazing
livestock so these are the ayas 24 to 32
of
Surah now coming into details Allah
subhana T says let then let man look at
his food Allah subhah wa ta'ala
instructs man to look at his food which
sustain
him and reflect upon its religion how it
grows how it's eaten um and so on and so
forth so that is through this thinking
um reflection and pondering he may come
to know Allah subhana and to worship him
as he should be worshiped then Allah
says how we poured down water in t
meaning in abundance in large amounts
coming down from the
sky then we broke open the Earth
splitting it with uh Sprout meaning that
after the rain came down to earth the
earth now is bringing forth uh uh the uh
the vegetation uh that emerges from it
and then Allah and then caused and
caused it caused to grow within it grain
of course um after the uh with this is
is grain um has been split grain begins
to grow this refers to all types of
grains whether they are wheat barley
corn um any or other other types of
grains that they may they may be and
grapes and herbage now the
word was
so the grave uh The Grapes of course are
are known and the is translated as
herbage which refers to F or anything
that animals eat it's called and I think
you need to add to the meaning that is
here it's called because it is given to
animals when it's still fresh and they
chew it well actually uh the
is a type of of um uh herbage that
actually is when cut they grow so fast
so they gr grow time after time so they
they they are uh repeatedly uh giving
product and and and therefore uh they
can uh uh you know they can Harvest it
and give it to to animals and olives and
palm trees so the the olives uh Allah
mentions the palm trees here U not
necessarily the dates because there are
so many other benefits that come from
the palm trees not only uh dates uh
which uh is uh food but also uh the uh
the use of uh date Stones as food for
for camels for example and uh to make
use of the wood and leaves in building
houses and also the fiber for making
ropes and so on and so forth so they
there are so many other benefits there
from the the palm trees and of course uh
olives are there to enjoy to enjoy their
their their um uh of course
uh juice and and and whatever comes uh
from the uh the olives now uh the um and
Gardens of dense Shrubbery so the word
translated here is Garden a garden is
enclosed by a wall that is what is
called Alan or Al a garden of dense
Shrubbery is thickly growing the shrubs
and tall trees and this is for enjoyment
and also for uh benefit to the human
being and fruit and grass now the fruit
is fak in in in
Arabic and the fruits are crops uh that
are eaten for pleasure not for basic
sustenance such as dates grapes
pomegranates and um almonds these are
the types of uh of fruits but also
regarding the the grass the grass
normally is for animals to eat and uh
Gra is of different types as we already
talked about um as the ab is is similar
to so we have both as as food for for
Animals As enjoyment for you and you're
grazing
livestock uh that is we cause these
things that humans eat to grow as
enjoyment for them so they benefit from
it and they enjoy it for their own
pleasure now there is the difference
between
and Allah says in this in this this
ay this is like enjoyment but this is
enjoyment in in life which is which is
temporary and while they in Paradise is
not just only a but
rather which is permanent and will never
end so coming to the activities Write a
brief summary in which
you speak of the ways in which food are
described according to what is said in
these verses and of course yes you can
you you can go ahead and and talk about
all these uh uh mashallah kinds of foods
that are available and and made from
Allah from where like Allah is asking
the man to look into the food How It's
Made through the rain and then through
uh coming Down to Earth and the Earth is
uh uh splitting and and letting the
Grain and vegetation uh spring and then
uh bringing all these kinds of of of uh
produces and and and and fruits and so
on and so forth all of this can be
explained more if you go back to the
verses secondly draw a line from uh a
word from each word or phrase in list a
which matches with list B now we know
that herbage is f for Animals gens are
Gardens surrounded by a wall and Gardens
of dense Shrubbery are Gardens of
thickly growing shrubs or tall trees as
we just explained and then I think they
that we need to correct rather than
grains right grass because Rass grass
fits with uh grasses and plants that
animals eat not grains but rather grass
which is a general generic word for uh
what um animals eat so that brings us to
the end of this um this particular
passage and let's continue with uh the
new uh passage the end of this uh in
this Surah where Allah subhana T says uh
but when the uh when there comes the
deafening blast
but when the there comes the deafening
blast on the day when uh man will flee
from his brother and his mother and his
father and his wife and his children for
every man that day will be a matter
adequate for him some faces that day
will be bright laughing rejoicing at
good news and other faces that day will
have upon them dust Blackness will cover
them those are the disbelievers the
wicked ones so these are ay 33 to 42 of
Surah ABA and coming to the commentary
it's very clear but when there comes the
deafening blast and of course uh we
talked about the uh second blast which
is uh done by the trumpet on the day of
resurrection and the word is is really a
strong word meaning deafening blast it
produces this great sound that people
almost lose their hearing ability
because of what uh of the strength and
power of this blast and it was said that
it was called also the
the like in other words it sounds is
overwhelming to people's hearing and
also is a name of the day of
Resurrection
like as we explained earlier in in
earlier episodes on that day on the day
a man will flee
from his brother of course starting to
name relatives starting with a brother a
brother like full brother or um half
brother and his mother and his father
and his wife and his children all of
those who have
immediate uh uh relatives uh or uh
relationship to him they are the parents
or the
grandparents or the children or the
grandchildren the reason why man will
flee from his relatives is that he will
be afraid that that uh day they will ask
him because they will they are afraid
that they will be asked about anything
that they uh were supposed to give to
them so uh everybody on that day is is
really afraid of uh being held for uh
returning a riot um or a matter of just
injustice that they did to others and
for every man that day will be a matter
adequate for them everybody is busy and
preoccupied uh with uh uh with himself
which prevented him from uh paying
attention to anyone else the uh
also uh in the Hadith by Al bukari and
Muslim uh the prophet sallallah alaihi
wasallam said uh you will be gathered uh
Barefoot naked and
circumcised uh uh people will be there
in these kinds of of uh of of situations
they will be barefoot uh they will be
naked they will be C uncircumcised
meaning just like they were born from
their own uh mother wombs and the
messenger said the matter will be and of
course AA when when when was talked
about this she said oh prophet of Allah
how could people you know men and women
looking at each other he said the matter
is so great that they would not look
into this so that is the the idea some
faces will be will be bright on that day
because these are the the faces of the
Believers and they will be laughing
enjoying and they'll be rejoicing at the
increase of the blessings while the
other faces of the disbelievers will be
darkened with dust and it will be gloomy
they will be covered with human
humiliation so that is a situation with
the disbelievers I think that brings us
to the end of today's episode we'll
continue inshallah in the coming episode
with more on these verses by the grace
of Allah until then I leave you with
Allah's care and protection
