and welcome back to the 16th episode and
16th Hadith in this uh second level of
the prophetic Noble Hadith and this
Hadith is narrated by one of the great
companions who narrated the largest
number of Hadith from Prophet Muhammad
peace be upon him that is none other
than
Abu and this Hadith is highly profound
Hadith it is actually agreed upon its
authenticity
so said the messenger of Allah peace be
upon him said for every
joint of a person there is a charity
must be given every day on which the sun
rises so the prophet sallallah Al
wasallam added reconciling between two
people is an act of Charity helping a
man onto his Mount or lifting him up
onto it or lifting his luggage upon uh
to it is an act of charity he said
sallallahu alaihi wasallam a good word
is a charity every step that you take to
attend the prayer is a charity removing
a harmful thing from the path of people
is a
charity uh sufficient instead of all of
that is two that you pray in the four
noon or
D so basically we're talking about the
the virtues of offering the for noon
prayer or the
prayer we spoke about him before and uh
now we delve into the meaning of the
Hadith beginning with explaining some of
its phrases such as when the prophet
Sall alaihi wasallam
said refers to the
joints which Falls between two bones and
our body bodies are full of joints the
number of joints vary from childhood to
adulthood and so on it it it increases
it decreases depending on the condition
of the person so sometimes some of the
joints merging together to become one as
a person grows up so we're talking about
average and according to many reports of
the anatomy uh of the human body we're
talking about 36 60
joints with the blessing of the joints
we're able to move around are able to do
everything in life and without it or
without a single one of these joints we
experience great deal of difficulty
sometimes
paralysis and sometimes not being able
to fulfill your daily duties as will be
explained shortly inshallah
so wasallam said in another narration
man has been created with 360 joints and
for each joint there must be a charity
given in order to give thanks to Allah
subhana tala on daily basis because this
blessing is such a valuable blessing you
see as I'm talking right now I'm able to
fold and
unfold my f fingers my wrist to grab
hold of a cup then to lift it so there
are joints in the elbow in the wrist in
the thumb in every even in the
toes guess what even the skull it has
four sutures which divide the skull why
isn't like just one single entity so
that in case that your head is banged or
in an accident or a collision that you
will not break your head and the Brain
will not be affected rather it will be
protected from a concussion because
there are sutures or
joints the those joints or four sutures
in the skull are given a different name
because they are formed like Teeth they
glind against each other in order to
break in order to protect the skull from
breaking so this is one of the countless
blessings which the almighty Allah
bestowed upon
us um the prophet sallallah said you
need to give thanks to Allah the
almighty for each one of those joints
which with your able to function and
without it becomes very painful and
extremely difficult to
survive so he counted what kind of
Charity that you need to give and he
gave examples in order to be a great ful
to Allah for only the blessings of the
joints he said such as reconciling
between two people saying something
which is good enjoying what is good
forbidding what is
evil the remembrance of Allah
saying as explained earlier in the
previous he gave also an example of walk
into the Masid going to attend the
prayers in congregation whether the
Masid is nearby or far away each
footstep each footstep that you take to
the Masid gives you dual benefits number
one it erases one of your
sins and it raises you into a higher
status before the almighty Allah so two
benefits for each footstep if you walk
for 1 kilometer if you walk 1,000
footstep go into the Masid or 2,000
footsteps going to the Masid and
likewise when you're returning
because it's not only going to the Masid
which you will be rewarded for but also
returning from the Masid you will be
rewarded for as well removing a harmful
thing from the road and the path of
people it is stated in the Hadith that
the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam
has said a man once
saw a branch of tree fell of a tree and
it was simply obstructing the road so he
removed it he put it on the side of the
road he said lest it may harm somebody
so the almighty Allah rewarded him by
admitting him to Heaven by making him
eligible to enter Al Jenna then the
messenger of Allah peace be upon him
said sufficient instead of all of these
things that you required to do is to
offer two raas in the four noon what is
meant by the four noon after it is
dislike to pray any or subar prayers
until the sun
rises Rises the level of one spear the
height of one
spear simply it's about 20 minutes after
Sunrise simply it's 20 minutes after
Sunrise after you pray F and until 20
minutes past Sunrise you don't
pray and then the time for or is prayer
begins until another 20 minutes before
the sun moves away from its Meridian
which means before the sun before it's
time or thean of there is plenty of time
you're talking about almost 6 hours or
sometimes even more depending on summer
versus winter you can pray D two raas
four ra six eight raas the prophet
sallallah alhi wasallam said if you only
pray two in the four noon it will give
thanks to all the blessings it will give
give thanks to Allah for all the
blessings of the joints the 300 joints
which was recommended that you should
say Subhan Allah alhamdulillah Allah
abbar enjoying what is good forbid what
is evil remove a harmful thing from the
path of people reconcile between two
opponents and so
on
so it is quite
interesting that the prophet sallallah
Al wasallam was teaching his companions
that uh
14500 years ago
yep before even Anatomy was
discovered before people were able to
study anatomy and know about the joints
and the SE the bodies whether the human
bodies or the bodies of other
creatures the prophet sallallah alaihi
wasallam
receives a revelation from the Creator
Allah says
[Music]
in he's the one who created us he is all
subt the will acquainted so when he
instructs us with something to do it is
definitely beneficial for us and our
bodies when he forbids us against
something that he has prohibited it is
also definitely best for us in this life
and in the here after not only as a
means of testing the people the test
lies in the fact that we don't have to
know the wisdom but it is definitely
best for us in this Hadith my dear
students
Al wasam reminded us and guided us to
the importance of being grateful to
Allah subhanahu wa taal for his
countless blessings and he gave an
example of a single blessing which is
having the
joints having the joints you know in
order to flip over while asleep you need
the joints in order to get up of your
seat then walk to your car start the
engine or go to the bathroom your asleep
you need to answer the call of nature
you need the joints in order to pray
stand up and bow down and prostrate
yourself he need the joints without them
or any of them sometime is either
extremely difficult or impossible to do
things so what do we need to
do Allah has declared if you're grateful
I will give you more
so when I offer these acts of worship
whether given in charity whether or
reconciling between uh people who are
having some sort of Discord or differing
the boycotting each other a husband and
wife friends brothers and sisters
removing a harmful thing from the path
of people doing anything which is useful
saying a good word you know greeting
people with the greeting of Salam
smiling you know going to the Masid back
and forth coming from the mased as well
yeah but she
360 acts of worship I need to remember
every day to do in the morning to thank
Allah for the blessing of the joints
what about the rest of the blessings
which Allah stated
that if you try to count Allah's
blessings upon you never will you be
able to keep count that's why Al
wasallam said if you just playay these
two units
or is prayer it will be sufficient for
you so we learn from this Hadith
brothers and sisters
that the prophet sallallah alaihi
wasallam encouraged us to pray D praying
D isah some say it's an emphatic Sunnah
that the prophet wasallam used to do
most of the time not on regular basis
you know he used to skip it sometimes
such as if he was traveling and it could
be two or four or six or eight RS it
could be at home it could be in the
mased you know also it is a Sunnah to
help one another fulfilling their
needs physically or morally somebody
needs to speak to somebody somebody
wants somebody to hear his story to give
him an
advice removing a harmful thing from the
past of people or even
animals and whether people are Muslims
or non-muslims is rewarded by the
almighty Allah when you intend to do so
for his sake anything that brings us
closer to the almighty Allah whether
it's an act of worship or simply showing
kindness uh to any of Allah's creation
is an act of Charity as we mentioned
before even having an intimate
relationship with one spous in lawful
fashion is an act of Charity that he
will be rewarded for
the prophet Sall alai
wasallam um used to pray DHA the
companions have seen him praying whether
in the Masid or at home
but said that the prophet sallallah Al
wasallam sometimes used to give up on
acts and to quit things which he used to
do on regular basis out of fear that his
companions will perceive them as
compulsory and she gave an example of
the DHA prayer the minimum ra for the
DHA prayer is two and you can pray as
many raas as long as you pray two by two
may Allah subhah wa taala guide us
toward his best and until next
