alhamdulillah Islam education to the
Deeds Done by the heart and last time we
talked about continuing with the subject
of sincerity the foundation of all
actions the conditions for the deed to
be accepted knowledge that we need to
learn and we just giving given some of
the aspects of alas but it's a lifetime
learning of how to establish it and to
make our hearts full with the sincerity
of intention seeking the rewards from
Allah subhana wa tala alone by
worshiping none but Allah subhana tala
alone in every action of our life that
we do it sincerely for the sake of Allah
uh continuing with the subject uh one of
the things that would uh cause the
person to be in state of punishment as a
result of abandoning and not having the
sincerity of intentions is that a person
would enter the fire and there's a
Hadith of the Prophet that I mentioned
it last time and again it's a long
Hadith but in this Hadith the prophet he
said
to after he explained to him someone
that fought for the sake of Allah till
he died and someone taught knowledge and
Quran and someone spent from his money
and he was very generous but they did
all of these actions not for the sake of
Allah the prophet said
there are the first three of the human
beings that will be ignited the fire
will be ignited as a result of them
being thrown in it the first people to
enter the fire these three individuals
or the like of them why because it
appeared to be in this life they're
doing such a great action but it wasn't
for the sake of Allah subhana tala so it
shows again the importance of and the
fear that we should have in our hearts
if a person doesn't have have this act
that is done purely in the heart is not
something that is shown with one's
actions there's no such a thing as a
person would say I'm doing some or he
would say I'm a sincere person you can
say it million times it doesn't make a
difference it's all about what's in the
heart and what's in the heart only Allah
subhana wa tala knows as a result of
that the actions are not accepted by
Allah subhah wa tala and there's the
Hadith and the ayat of the Quran that is
very clear in
this Allah is the most rich when it
comes to Partners you're doing an action
seeking the rewards from Allah subhana
wa tala and the rewards from other than
Allah that means you made partners with
Allah subhana tala and seeking rewards
Allah subhana T is the most
rich as Allah T says whoever do any deed
that he make this partnership in his
action seeking reward of from Allah
subhana tala and from other than Allah
Allah subhana wa tala would leave him
and his sh because he's the most rich
subhah wa tala one of the things that we
are in need of especially for the
students of knowledge and the people of
knowledge is to have this in our hearts
that we don't like to be famous this is
something that we should push away from
our hearts this is engraved in the human
beings that I like for people to praise
them and so on but with knowing things
with knowing the consequences of things
getting to know the verses of the Quran
the of the Prophet the and the blessings
of knowledge would make the person
Overlook these types of things but
rather to do things only for the sake of
Allah and to make sure that if the Deeds
can be done hidden away from the eyes of
people then that should have been should
be the case unless it has to be shown
like for example you go to the Masjid
you have to make teaching what is right
and so on but then the person he has to
work on his heart and he has to make it
sincerely for the sake of Allah subhana
tala and to work on the the actions that
are done secretly to give it more
attention so that the person would have
a sign that he's sincerely doing things
for the sake of
Allah and
what one time he
said Allah subh wants from you your and
your will he wants from you your
intention and your will the easiest
things are the physical actions the most
important thing is what's in the heart
with one's intentions and one's will and
this is all signs of sincerity and
that's why we have to do it and we have
to be warned against the opposite of it
and there are so many different stories
that when we read about the tajim and
the lifetime and the biographies of the
early generations of Al Islam Allah
subhana tala exposed their secret
actions that shows that how much they
were sincerely doing things for the sake
of Allah like for
example is from the he used to carry the
the bread at night and on his back and
he would go to the poor during the night
so that nobody would see him uh and he
would give them and distribute things to
them and nobody knew anything about it
so how did we get to know it when he
died that night many people they did not
get the the the daily bread that they
would receive from him and they saw on
his shoulder the sign of the rope that
when he would carry the sack of bread on
his shoulder so it shows even though in
their lifetime they were not seeking
fame they were seeking the pleasure of
Allah subhana wa tala alone Allah
subhana T made it something that we get
to learn from their actions of how
sincere they were when it comes to
seeking the pleasure of Allah subhana T
alone one of the the serious matters
that people might confuse it or not have
the knowledge of it is what is the
ruling when it comes to some of the
Deeds Done
uh of in in this worldly life that a
person would benefit from the actions
that are supposed to be done for the
sake of Allah seeking the rewards from
Allah subhana wa tala in the Hereafter
like a person would do an act of Act of
obedience to Allah subhana wa tala but
at the same time he's doing something
permissible uh to get some benefit in
his life fasting for example for the
sake of
Allah seeking the rewards from Allah
subhana tala in the Hereafter and at the
same time he become healthy as a result
of fasting or going to make and he's
doing the for the sake of Allah but also
he's taken some trade with him so that
he can buy and sell and benefit for
example in the Journey of Haj and so on
the examples of this someone would make
Jihad for the sake of Allah but also he
would get the booty of the war someone
would go to the Masjid seeking the
pleasure of Allah subhana wa ta'ala but
he would benefit also from
walking health benefit as a result of
walking back and forth to the
Masjid would that render in vain the
actions the answer is no but we have to
be extremely careful if it's an
intention that means a person his
intention is to make the but also to get
and gain some health benefits it takes
away from the rewards of the actions as
how much he is having this intention
contaminated so what a person should do
then he should do the action since cely
for the sake of Allah and you don't need
to really have it as an intention that
you would get the benefit of it you will
get the benefit of it it's permissible
to buy and sell when you're in the
Journey of Hajj but your intention when
you're going for Hajj is the Haj
sincerely doing it for the sake of Allah
subhana wa tala alone and it doesn't
render in vain the actions of course so
therefore we should make the intentions
with our matters of sincerely for the
sake of Allah and the benefits of the do
D would come as a result of that if we
are sincere so we don't have to seek it
because it's already happening so if
you're fasting you already get the
benefits inshallah worldly matters but
you don't have to have the intentions
for it make your intentions sincerely
for the sake of Allah subhana tala in
the Hereafter and a person can test
himself if there was no health benefits
would you still fast or not for the sake
of Allah then we get exposed as a result
of what we answer how we answer
ourselves when we test our hearts so so
uh this is one of the things to be aware
of the same thing when it comes to
showing off which is a very evil action
that ruins the rewards and it's a
punishable act if a person show up show
off with his actions when it comes to
the human beings and this is one of the
characteristics of the Hypocrites that
they think that they can deceive Allah
subhana wa tala when Allah subhana wa
tala is the one that is letting them to
do so and their punishment will be as a
result of them seeking the pleasure of
other than Allah subhana tala the
prophet when one time he came out to the
people and they were talking about Al
which is the biggest F that can ever
afflict the human beings from the time
of Adam till the day of judgment and the
prophet said to them having this
upbringing and purifying the hearts he
said should I inform you of what I fear
more more for you than the which is the
biggest F ever so they said yes oh
prophet of Allah he
said the hidden then he described it by
saying that a man would stand up for
making the Salah Salah sincerely for the
sake of Allah but then he would beautify
his Salah because he knows that someone
is watching him so this is more fearful
to the prophet with regards to his than
the of and all of that is related to so
it's a serious matter what a person
should do in this case his Salah is for
the sake of Allah if someone walks in or
someone that is present and the Shan
tells you Whispers to you or you're
making your Salah beautiful because of
that person is sitting there what should
you do you should make your Salah even
more beautiful not the opposite and you
defeat the Shan and you make the
decision that it's only for the sake of
Allah you don't leave the actions of
goodness for people and you don't do the
actions of goodness for people so you
have to protect yourself from both so
this is the minor sh that the prophet
feared for his um and people will be
told in the day of Al those who
worshiped Allah subhana tal but they
were showing off with their actions it
will be said to
them go to the ones that you used to
show your actions to them in this
worldly life then see if the if you have
any uh Rewards or recompense uh by them
and of course this is not the case so
this is it shows that this is a
punishable act some of the things that
we need to also be aware of when it
comes to what does not negate it when
someone do a deed for the sake of Allah
and then people praise him there's no
harm in this you know and he has to make
sure that it's sincerely for the sake of
Allah the prophet Alat he was asked that
a man would do a certain action of
goodness and people would love him as a
result of that he
said this is the this is Glad Tidings
other the Believers is given to them in
haste in this worthy life so there's no
harm in this again as long as his heart
is content established
upon when someone become famous without
him seeking it without going after it
right and as we know the and things like
this there's no harm in this whatsoever
spreading is one knowledge authentic
knowledge is one of the great deeds and
as one of the early generations of Islam
he said that he never seen any good deed
better than to spread the knowledge and
as also one of them he
said spread the knowledge and be warned
against Fame so you figure it out
meaning with what's in the heart of the
person he does not seek that whatsoever
uh when you see for example yourself in
Ramadan you find yourself have more
energy to do the you are in the mid you
see people making Salah making so you
find yourself making when people in
making and you're lazy but it makes you
have more energy to make that does not
negate as long again as a person is
seeking the pleasure of Allah subhana wa
tala alone beautifying one's appearance
as the prophet also approved of that
there's nothing wrong with that it's not
from showing off hiding one sins is not
a show off but actually you should hide
sins some people you know they would say
they had a a bad past for example and
then now they're righteous or they
appear to be good so people might be
deceived by them they don't know my past
they would say they don't need to know
your past you need to hide your sins and
this is not a sign of showing off when
you're hiding your evil sins and things
like this this is all one of the tricks
of Shan hide your sins repent to Allah
subhah wa tala and seek the pleasure of
Allah subhana tala alone and that's why
showing the actions hiding the actions
this has its own ways of course you know
and the what brings it all together is
following the Sunnah of the Prophet if
it's from the Sunnah to show the action
then show it it's from the Sunnah to
hide the actions then hide the actions
night prayer for example you don't need
to show that off but rather to hide it
this is the way the prophet Alat except
in Ramadan uh for example if s the Zak
is to be shown to the people so that
they are encouraged also there's no harm
but the
the norm of one's charity is to be
hidden and things like this all of that
is by seeking the pleasure of Allah
subhana T alone and again Allah subh
knows best what's in the hearts there
are so many different things to be
discussed when it comes
to it's a lifetime action as we said
that has to be established on a daily
basis all the time and we seek help from
Allah subhana tala to make us among
those who are sincere but we'll stop
here inshallah tala and we continue next
time with more of the Deeds Done by the
heart
