subhana tala and in this class inshallah we'll talk about some of the types or the categories of the attributes of Allah subhana wa tala as a way to make it easy for us to study them and to believe in them in the proper way so the may Allah subhana T have mercy upon them when they looked into the attributes of Allah subhana wa tala they classified them in more than one uh type one of which is with regards to uh being affirmed or not so meaning something that you would affirm or something that you would negate so they call it or that means you it's established affirmed so that means Allah subhana T said about himself that he is that he's the ever living this is not be negated but rather to be established and to be affirmed the attribute of the knowledge of Allah subhana tala the different attributes of that the face and the hands and the descending and and the like of this and it's all of course attributes that has the praise the perfect praise to Allah subhah wa ta'ala and this is most of the attributes of Allah subhana tala in the Quran and in the Sunnah of the Prophet Alat from this type of course which is this is what it means when we talk about the attributes of Allah subhana wa tala but as mentioned before there areat there are attributes of Allah subhana wa T that Allah denied from himself negated from himself or the messenger sallallahu alaihi wasallam did the same thing as we said like sleeping Allah subhana says no no sleep for Allah subhana wa tala no no Injustice whatsoever so this is attributes that are negtive ated right and that's why the theat that is to be established we get to know that from the Quran and the Sunnah of the prophet and also denying things is according also to what's mentioned in the Quran and in the Sunnah of the prophet and anything that would attribute deficiency or weakness to Allah subhana tala and as mentioned before you if anything that is negated you believe in the opposite of it in the most perfect way so if you deny that Allah subhana wa taala do any any Injustice that means Allah subhana T is the most just subhah tala so this is the first category of things with regards to and what's established affirmed and what's to be denied the second type of classification is with regards to the evidences of How It's been established uh and that is basically of two types they call it that means the only way for a person to know it is through the uh the evidences the from Allah subhana Allah informed us right so this is uh can be for example the the the the face the hands and so on uh this is the one that gets to be known with and it can be also can be actions like for example the the anger the the the the SM you know the or smiling or the like of this this is all actions from Allah subhana wa tala so every attribute of Allah subhana tala there is no way to establish it except by being informed by Allah subhana tala that means it's whether it's to the being of Allah subhana tala or to his or the attributes which is the that refers to the being of Allah subhana wa tala it is not tied to the will that means you don't say that Allah subhana tala he knows if he Wills no he is the alln knower subhana wa taala and he is the all powerful subhah wa taala at all times but he forgives whoever he wills and he does not forgive whoever he Wills like this so these are two different types of attributes of Allah subhah wa tala and there's a third category of which it has both so the the attribute is a is something that is part of the being of Allah subhana tala and also it has these actions like for example Alam the the speech of Allah subhana tala it's always there and this is is one of the attributes of Allah subhana wa ta'ala and it keeps on happening so unlike those who believe that the speech of Allah is something that is happened and that's it there's no more no there's no such a thing and this is uh is according to the will of Allah even though it's a that is refers to Allah subhana tala so this is when it comes to the different types of or categories of the attributes of Allah subhana wa tala whether it's to and so on this is again a way that the they looked into these attributes of Allah subhana wa tala from the Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet so there for to deal and to believe in these attributes that is established in the Quran and the Sunnah with regards to Allah subana tala is to know the meaning of it we need to understand the meaning of it without without again without knowing how things are because we don't have that knowledge whether it's in the Quran or in the sunah of the Prophet there's no ambiguity in it it's very clear and the Quran is it's a clear book from Allah subhana wa tala and we have to be careful because there's a word that you might have heard or you might hear where people talk about is to leave the matter to Allah someone would say all of these different and things that people are saying that leave the matter to Allah say Allah knows best what that means of course Allah subhana T knows best but why the Revelation was revealed you know for someone not to do anything but rather to believe in things so the people of they make the which is Allah knows best because we don't have the knowledge of is in the in how things are not in the meanings so if someone says Allah knows best what or the hand means this is deviation no we know what hands means but how the hands is Allah knows best and push away any similarities any resemblance and you see how the sequence of things if a person truly denies any similarity or resemblance he will be safe but what happened to the people of innovation those who said that the people of they make similarities and resemblance no it's the opposite why because if they read the verse of the Quran the hands of Allah subhana T immediately comes into their minds is there similarities here is mentioned so they would say no similarities so they would alter the word so they're the ones that fell into the similarities that's why they pushed it away by altering and by deviation the people of Sunnah they don't even initiate any similarities in their hearts nothing is the like of Allah subhana tala but the word is clear when it comes to the meaning so the people of they make with the not with the not with the meanings of the attributes of Allah and always remember the statement of IM Malik when he was asked about and apply it in every attribute of Allah you can say the same thing and we talked about that before use for example when it comes to the hands of Allah we know exactly what that means how it is we do not know we don't have the knowledge of it and to believe in it is because it's mentioned in the Quran and to ask about it is of the how things are and this is a beautiful way to follow in every name and attribute of Allah and you would never go wrong if you follow that so whether it's the knowledge the life the the hearing the seeing all of that you follow these principles a person will be saved from any form of deviations so uh and this is how things are so then a again is in the how of things are right so whoever attribute to the early generations of Islam that they don't know the meanings of the attributes of Allah and they make t weed and they say Allah knows best what these attributes means right they have lied about them and they would never do such a thing because the the way of a is that they would establish the words and the meanings and they made the in the in the how things are and Allah commanded us to reflect upon the Quran so to reflect upon the Quran to reflect upon theat of and the attributes of Allah subhana tala without knowing the meanings of it that means its words without any meaning to it there's no such a thing but the how Allah subhana tala knows best and as mentioned if you follow these matters of principles so therefore you know it's a the people of are the ones that don't make that in the meanings right so because again it's a warning because people would spread this they would say that the people of they made no the are one of the worst deviant ones the people of they don't make in the meanings they make in the or how these attributes of Allah subhana tala are so we ask Allah subhana wa tala to make us among those who are safe from uh deviation and to make a
