alhamdulillah the prophet
um was a human being filled with
emotions yes he would laugh and joke and
smile whenever there was something
humorous but at the same time he used to
weep out of the fear of
Allah and his eyes would water so many
times and the companions would see this
and take note of it so the prophet
sallallahu alaih wasallam was not a
person without emotions on the contrary
he would he was filled with emotions
sometimes he would weep out of Mercy for
a deceased love one and sometimes out of
the fear for his umah and sometimes out
of the fear of Allah the almighty
whenever he contemplates about the
greatness of Allah and sometimes he
would weep when he hears the Quran or
attends a funeral or enters a cemetery
or
when there is an eclipse of the Sun or
of the Moon all of this though he was
the one whom Allah has forgiven his
previous and upcoming
sins however his
weeping was moderate similarly to his
laughing
it
wasn't with a high pitch or wailing or
making a scene out of it as his laughter
was not breaking in
sound his weeping was simply seeing the
tears running out of his
eyes he used
to weep because of the fear for his umah
when whenever he recited the Quran he
used to
weep and Allah would send jiel and say
to him ask Muhammad why is he
weeping so he would say that I fear for
my umah of oh Allah and Allah would say
to jiel peace be upon him go to Muhammad
and tell him that we will please you in
regards to your umah and we will not
make you dis
spare the prophet sallallahu alaihi
wasallam used to weep whenever
he feared Allah or
felt wanting the closeness to
Allah in the
Hadith he once was lying next TOA may
Allah be pleased with her and he said to
Hera let me worship Allah tonight and
she said oh oh prophet of Allah by Allah
I love to be close to you and I love
what pleases you so he went and he
performed austion then he started to
pray and while praying he kept on
weeping and
tears started falling down from his
eyes and the area he was standing in was
wet from the amount of tears and his lap
was wet from his tears and she says to
him and and and and B who came to notify
him about F prayer when he saw him do
this he said oh prophet of Allah why do
You Weep when Allah has forgiven your
previous and upcoming sins and he would
say shouldn't I be a grateful servant
tonight 10 verses of the Quran were
revealed to me wo to those who recite
them and do not contemplate upon them
and he recited the last 10 verses of
Surah Alan whenever the prophet prayed
Sall alhi wasallam they used to hear a
sound to his chest when weeping as if
it's the Boiling Pot on the
fire and he used to recite the Quran but
also the Quran used to be recited to him
IB Mas may Allah be pleased with him
said that the prophet said to me once
recite the Quran so I said oh prophet of
Allah recite the Quran to you and to you
it was revealed he says I like to hear
it from someone else so I started to
recite the beginning of chapter
4ah until I reached the Ayah number
41 when Allah talks about bringing the
prophet Alat wasam as a witness to
testify over all the people and the
Nations and he says I heard the prophet
saying to
Meb meaning stop and I looked at him and
his eyes were watering and
weeping the prophet used to
weep when one of his friends or loved
ones died
when his son
ibraim passed away and he was less than
two years of age and the prophet was
almost 62 years of age and he had no
living male child of his and that was
his only hope in leaving someone to
carry his
name
he sallallahu alaihi wasallam started to
cry and
weep and when we say cry he didn't make
a sound he didn't complain it's just the
Weeping of the
eyes
abdb said to him while the prophet was
crying objecting to this thinking that
this is not
befitting of a man let alone a prophet
so he said you Prophet of Allah even you
do this and he said
ohb this is Mercy
this these tears are a mercy from Allah
and a gift then he
saidat the eyes weep and the heart is
saddened but we do not say except what
pleases Allah and by Allah departing you
ibraim we are saddened he did the same
when his brother in
suckling died
he wept over him and an Malik said I saw
the prophet
sitting next to a grave in a cemetery
and his eyes were uh uh weeping and also
when one of his grandchildren died the
prophet sallallah alhi wasallam also
wept over it and
sad and OB as well said to the prophet
Alat wasam what is this o prophet of
Allah what are you doing you're crying
and he said this is a mercy that Allah
places in the hearts of his servants and
Allah has Mercy only upon his servants
who are merciful to
others the prophet sallallah alaihi
wasallam also wept whatever he

remembered the memory of Khadijah
in one of the incidents related to
bad or another uh uh battle
AB or
AB his son-in-law who was married to
zanab his daughter was captured among
the
enemy so
zanab his wife sent to the prophet
a medallion a necklace that was given to
her on her wedding night by her mother
Khadijah as a ransom
to when the prophet saw
it
he remembered
khad and he started to weep
Al and he said to the people if you were
to let him go
for my
sake I would appreciate that and give
her back her prisoner and this necklace
she paid as a ransom for him and they
willingly did so for the
Prophet The Prophet used
to feel soft whenever the memory of
Khadijah
was mentioned in his
presence also the prophet sallallahu
alaihi wasallam wept when he was in real
need of Allah's
support the night before bad B the
Battle of bad everybody was getting
ready by sleeping or resting the prophet
spent the whole night praying and
supplicating and weeping to Allah asael
so that he would grant them Victory the
following day and all of this shows us
that the
prophet's weeping was not a sign of
weakness rather it is a sign of strength
it is a sign of Being
Human we can't have hearts of
stone with no emotion
we can't live without showing our
empathy to others and to react to
whatever happens to us because this is
part of being human and indefinitely it
is part of being Muslims
