alhamd in the name of Allah the
compassion of the merciful all praise is
due to Allah and May the peace and
blessings of Allah be upon his Prophet
his family and his companions all until
the day of Resurrection I welcome you to
this new episode from the series of
taper at zad Academy and uh we are
continuing with
Surah we already talked about the first
part of it now the second part where
Allah says
uh so these are the AY 16 to
of where Allah says the meaning of which
so I swear by the Twilight glow and by
the night and what it envelopes and by
the moon when it uh becomes full um that
you will surely experience state after
state so that it is what is the matter
with them that they do not believe and
when the Quran is recited to them they
do not prostrate to Allah but those who
have disbelieved
deny and Allah is most knowing of what
they keep within uh uh
themselves so give them Tidings of a
painful
punishment except for those who believe
and do righteous Deeds
for them is a reward uninterrupted now
the commentary for this U these ayas is
the following so I swear by the Twilight
glow some may think that this is uh
meant by the
word that this is a negation in fact
it's an affirmation because always this
is the style of the Glorious Quran where
Allah subhah wa taala can swear by
anything and normally he
said this is just to get the attention
of The Listener where he
says uh as he said subhanahu wa ta'ala
uh I swear by this city and also I swear
by the day of
Resurrection uh the word sha is
translated as Twilight this is the red
after glow that occurs after Sunset and
Al who is an interpreter of the Glorious
Quran or a linguist said this is the
view of all the commentators and
Scholars of the Arabic language they all
say the meaning is a is this Twilight uh
that comes after Sunset and by the night
and and what it
envelopes it meaning it brings together
because all the creatures will come to
their own uh places to their own house
after they were scattered during the day
they will come to their own places uh
like humans and animals uh they will
come everyone to its uh place and its
home after at at night and by the moon
when it becomes
full again when the moon becomes full
and beautiful that is uh how it is
gradually increasing until it becomes
full Allah is swearing by that subhanahu
wa ta'ala this is now what is attested
to after swearing by all these Allah
says that you will surely experience
state after state meaning that you will
surely uh
uh under you'll come through or go
through various circumstances and Stage
stages after stages one after the other
from n being the in in the sperm drop to
which is a clot of congealed uh blood uh
to the mud which is a lump of chewed uh
flesh to the stage when the soul is
breathed into the fetus and then you
become an infant and then a child and
then you become at the age of
discernment and then you become
accountable meaning
after uh and then you are uh you keep on
going until you die and then you pass
into the realm of the Hereafter that's
these are the stages these
are so what is the matter with with them
that they do not believe you know after
showing all these and you know that you
go from these stages and Allah knows
subh explains to them clearly what they
go through in this life why do they not
uh believe why what is preventing them
from believing what will happen to them
if they believe in Allah his messenger
and the last day in in fact Quran uh and
what is says in the Quran that it is
obligatory to believe in I mean you
should they should be uh uh pressed to
believe in the Glorious Quran and when
the Quran is recited uh to them they do
not prostrate to Allah subhana t meaning
to submit to Allah whether you prostrate
on the ground or not but rather the the
heart should be humbled and should be uh
uh really uh softened to uh prostrate or
to submit to Allah
and and and normally you know part of it
the expression of that is to to do suud
or prostration for Allah and Allah is
most knowing of what they keep within
themselves of course Allah knows exactly
what is what they Harbor in their hearts
what they
conceal um and what they what they show
openly so and Allah will requet them for
uh their deeds that's that's what uh the
Ayah is is saying so give them Tidings
of a painful punishment Subhan Allah you
know giving them uh uh a Tiding a glad
Tiding it's just like saying the Glad
Tiding of a punishment it's just like to
alert that this is not a bishar and it's
not a good good news to them um it's
like uh it's a rebuke to them U but uh
and of course because uh
is saying this and the bishar normally
is coming from the word Bashar which is
the the skin of a of a person and uh and
the reaction to what is being said to it
uh is is of Joy or grief it will show on
their skin it will show on their Bashar
that's why it called bishar except for
those who believe and do righteous Deeds
for them is a reward uninterrupted so so
this is
uh uh those who believe and do righteous
deeds will be an exception from that uh
this is another group whom Allah subhana
wa taala guided to do righteous Deeds
they believed in Allah they believed in
The Messengers they believed in in the
book they did righteous Deeds so for
them is a reward that will never seize
and will never be interrupted but rather
will be Eternal so that is how this is
done now what can we learn from the ayas
well we can learn that uh from the Ayah
as Allah says you will surely experience
state after State meaning that you will
go uh from one one stage to another H
which includes changes in four things in
time and place physical and um spiritual
well-being so the first type of change
is is time where uh uh you'll go from
one one uh one one time to another you
go from the morning to the night to the
evening you go from one day to another
day and so on so uh as Allah says and
these days of varying conditions we
alternate among the people you know uh
that Subhan Allah this is this is in
Surah uh
uh where Allah says the meaning of which
and those days
uh you know one day you'll be in
something and another day you'll be in
something so that's that is U the change
you change from one time to time and
also the second uh type of change has to
do with place where a person will be
here one day and he will be here there
another day and from this uh to to that
place and so on and so on and they'll
keep going until they reach the here
after the second T the third type is the
physical change and we already talked
about the physical changes you know and
the stages from being an infant to the
even even from uh uh the sperm to the uh
uh congealed blood to the chewed uh
flesh and so on you know and then
giving birth and so on until you move
forward and as Allah says subhanahu wa
ta'ala
in and Allah is the one who created you
from uh
weakness uh uh then made after weakness
um a strength then made after strength
uh weakness and white
hair and he created uh what he
wills and he is the knowing uh the
competent so and the fourth stage is the
um spiritual uh changes where a person
uh is uh uh like changing your own ideas
in your heart and your
Tendencies as in the Hadith the uh
hearts of of the children of Adam are
between two fingers of Allah he changes
them as he uh Wills subhanahu waala now
there is a a linguist point in the verse
uh so give them Tidings of a painful
punishment so we said uh uh
now there's here an an an exception here
except um the ones that uh uh who Allah
is excluding now of
course is not part of the uh statement
before they used this is for the bad
people for the uh evildoers and and and
not including the uh uh uh good doers
those who are not doing uh bad so they
they are excluded but this is
called which is
uh it's just cutting like it's just like
uh coming to a point where the ones
being mentioned after are not of the
same type only to get more uh extension
this is
to draw attention to what is excluded by
the exception and this is a style that
you'll find in the Glorious Quran also
some of the scholars uh quoted the verse
and when the Quran is recited to them
they do not prostrate they said that
from this Ayah we can uh find the rule
that it is obligatory but actually the
correct view is that
uh all the
uh frustration for the recitation of the
Glorious Quran when an Ayah where there
is suud is being recited a person is uh
can can or cannot uh make a frustration
because it's not obligatory it is um
it's it's a confirmed Sunnah as we find
in the had by
where addressed the people people one
day and
recited and then there is an Ayah
inah then he made the sujud so uh that
sujud is uh uh and he uh he did not he
he uh from the mimber he he went down uh
from the mimber and he made sujud and
then he decided this in the following
Friday the same Ayah or the same two
ayas in um Surah but did not make suud
and he said uh verily Allah has made it
obligatory for us to prostrate unless we
wish to do Allah has not made it
obligatory upon us to make suud or to
prostrate unless we wish to do so
uh uh
so it's it's your choice and of course
it's it's recommended to do that now
coming to the activities and you have
three activities quote three verses from
the Quran which the world
uh serves to emphasize an oath well we
already mentioned
that as in the in the in this Surah
explain the meaning of the following
words meaning the Twilight glow which
comes after
Sunset it becomes full like the moon
becoming full
and meaning stage after stage um state
after State uh as we already mentioned
what is the ruling and the prostration
of recitation we just already mentioned
it a little while ago so by this you you
should know I uh end this episode with
Allah's and care of protection for you I
ask Allah to keep you safe and sound and
learning more of the knowledge of the
dean and the of the book of Allah until
I see you another episode I leave you
with Allah's care and protection
