alhamdulillah my dear students Welcome
to the Hadith in the third level of the
noble prophetic Hadith today's Hadith is
narrated by the great companion abdah
Abbas may Allah be pleased with him and
his father Prophet Muhammad's cousin
whom we spoke about him before he said
that the prophet
s narrated that his Lord the Almighty
Allah
said Allah has decreed good deeds and
bad Deeds then he explained that so
whoever decides to do a good deed but
doesn't do it Allah will still record it
for him with him as one complete good
deed and if he decides to do it
and uh he does it actually Allah will
record it for him as 10 Good Deeds up to
fold up to many times more than that
even beyond the 700 times
and if he decides to do a bad deed but
he doesn't do it Allah will record it
for him with him as
one good
deed and if he decides to do it and he
actually does it then Allah will record
it for him as only one single bad
deed since we spoke
ABD and his biography before then we'll
delve into the Hadith right
away and
Allah has decreed while the word in
Arabic means he already wrote in the
past
tense he decreed the bad deeds and the
Good Deeds what is a good deed what is a
bad deed what counts as a deed that you
will be rewarded for what counts as a
deed that whoever will do it will be
held accountable for it and will be
punished for okay and
also uh the uh con concept of
decreeing the good deeds and the bad
Deeds was understood by the companions
in two different ways let me explain to
you you know Allah subhanahu wa taala
said
in which means and every small and great
thing is already inscribed is written
written well written in what is known
as or the Pres reserved tablet the
Hadith says that Allah has already
decreed the M of all the Creations
50,000 years before he created the
heavens and the Earth so this is one
understanding which means that Allah has
decreed who will do what and when and
good or bad and that is already
inscribed whether little or big the
second understanding which fits this
Hadith uh and this uh text more
that it means that he writes it in the
sense of recording the deed so when a
person does the deed it will be recorded
either a good deed or a bad deed and if
it is a good deed how many uh times the
reward will be and there will be
multiplied how many folds versus a sin
that it will be recorded as a single sin
and if he were to avoid it willingly
while he is able to do it then it will
be rather record it for him as a good
deed and so on and also with regards to
the variation of the multiplication
because the Hadi says uh if somebody
intended decided has a strong will to do
a good deed if you doesn't do it still
will be recorded a good deed for him but
if he does it then he will be recorded
not a single Good Deed rather 10 times
up to 700 times up to many folds so the
700 is not
maximum yet the 700 figure according to
the Arab is like you know a huge number
not necessarily 700 literally up to many
many folds even beyond the
700 so if he decides to do a bad deed
but he doesn't do it Allah will still
record it for him as a complete Good
Deed so if somebody decided to do a bad
deed and he doesn't do it like you know
he was planning to smoke but he doesn't
have money to buy pack of cigarette he
wanted to drink to get drunk he doesn't
have money to buy alcohol no that
doesn't apply here we're talking about a
particular case or example where if
somebody decided to do a bad deed
then he was either reminded by
Allah he was overwhelmed with the fear
of Allah
he happened to hear a lecture or a
reminder or Allah subhanahu wa taala
brought him back to his senses and he
decided no this is wrong this is a sign
from Allah I'm not going to do it so he
was still able to do it but he decided
not to do it out of fear of Allah out of
love of Allah is for Allah's
sake so he abstained from it he will be
rewarded so here the bad deed if you
don't do it you will be wed for it only
if he decided to do it decided not to do
it while being able to do it a typical
example is like if
somebody uh is having a date he or she
is going to meet their date which is
Haram they go out together they kiss
they hug they dance and Subhan Allah he
got in a cab with the driver he was
playing some Quran maybe some audio
lecture and the guy consider this a
message he said you know what turn
around I'm not going so now he decided
not to go for Allah's sake now the bad
deed which was about to be recorded as a
bad deed will be recorded before Allah
as a complete Good Deed but if he
intended to do a good
deed and he was unable to do it like you
know I was planning to give
sod 10 bucks put my hands in my pocket
there is a poor man needed a sandwich I
didn't find any but I was so determined
to buy him a sandwich for 10 bucks don't
worry your reward is secured he got the
full reward if you actually put your
hand in your pocket and you found the 10
bucks and you bought the sandwich and
you give it to the guy then it will not
be only written as one good deed no 10
times up to 700 times up to many many
folds what determines that two things
the level of
sincerity while doing the good deed and
how strictly you're following the
guidance and the Sun of the prophet
sallallahu alaihi wasallam in there is a
verse that explains all of that towards
the end ofah chapter number six verse
number 160 the almighty Allah
says and diverse means whoever comes on
the day of judgment with a good deed
he will have it 10 times the like
thereof to his
credit ever comes on the day of judgment
with an evil deed whether one or a
million or 10 million will not be
recompensed except the like thereof bad
deed a single punishment a single sin it
will not be doubled and multiplied and
like the good deed the M multiplication
of their word for good deeds
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala stated once in
Surah Al Bak as
well who is that would loan Allah a
goodly loan so that he may multiply it
for him many times over so along with
the verse of the verse
ofak verse number
245 that affirms the concept of the
multiplication of their word that Allah
the almighty will give to the believer
upon doing a good deed and we spoke
about the reason of the variation why 10
why 700 why more why
less there is aith in which wasallam
said theith is narrated by abdah may
Allah be pleased with him he said
that wasallam said Subhan Allah there
are two characteristics two features two
practices if any Muslim would do
them um
Mall will definitely enter
paradise and the prophet sallallahu
alaihi wasallam said these two practices
are very easy and affordable but very
few people pay attention
to what are the two practices he said
one practice that you do after every F
prayer you say Subhan Allah 10 times
alhamdulillah 10 times Allah abbar 10
times that is is total 30 times oh there
is
another um way of doing three three
times Subhan Allah likewise
alhamdulillah likewise allahar then the
100 ill to the end but the prophet Sall
wasallam is given a simple form you're
busy you're in a hurry Subhan Allah 10
times alhamdulillah 10 times allahar 10
times this is the first feature or
characteristic the second is to say
Subhan Allah uh 30 times 33 times before
going to sleep while on bed
alhamdulillah likewise Allah abbar 34
times so the total is 100
times according to the scale which we
mentioned earlier that the word will be
at least at least 10 times thereof so 30
times after every prayer times 5 that is
150 150 in the actual counts the reward
is
1,500 and before going to sleep 100 the
reward is 1,000 the total is
205 uh
2,500 24 2500 reward the prophet
sallallahu alaihi wasallam has said who
among you could do
2,500 bad deeds in one single day and
night
meaning if we look into the scale of the
good de deeds and the bad Deeds if every
day you secure yourself earning 2500
Good Deeds 2,500 Good Deeds according to
what you said about
thear then how many bad Deeds would you
commit every day you still good deeds
will outweigh the bad Deeds this is a
simple way of attracting the Believers
to do good
deeds and to do more good deeds in order
to have on the day of judgment Good
Deeds that will outweigh their bad deeds
and it shows the almighty Allah's
generosity and that's why we learn from
this Hadith the
following the Hadith affirmed that good
deeds and bad Deeds are written down and
recorded before they have taken place
because Allah has infinite knowledge he
knows us before he created us the
multiplication of reward for good deeds
may be based on the time when they were
done such as when you do a good deed in
the first 10 of the month of
or or on in the night of
Ramadan obviously the word is way
greater than any time of the year it may
be based on the place in which they were
done in meca and Medina the word in
Medina is a thousand times more in meca
each prayer is better than 100,000
prayers anywhere else okay it may depend
on the time on the nature of the deed
whether obligatory or voluntary before
Allah obligatory is better than what is
a voluntary they're all good though it
may depend on the doer himself the
superiority of the doer whether a
righteous servant or a wicked servant
whether one of the companions of or one
of us okay it may also depend on the
level of sincerity that is for certain
uh the person is doing this deed how
much sincerity you you're doing it how
much Halal percentage in the money that
you're giv in a charity with sincerity
and so on and obviously the level of
following the guidance of the prophet
sallallahu alaihi wasallam in doing
so we also learned that if someone
decides to do a bad deed but he ends up
not doing it Allah will record it for
him as one complete Good
Deeds a good deed why because he was
hindered from what is forbidden
out of fear of the almighty Allah you
see how the prophet s wasallam
said any person were to have an intimate
relationship with their spouses they
will be rewarded for it the companion
said how come one would have sexual
relations and be rewarded so the
messenger of Allah said for having it in
Haram shouldn't he be punished they said
of course it's an act of adultery he
said for avoiding what is forbidden and
res into what is permitted he will be
rewarded accordingly look at the analogy
if somebody is capable to do the bad
deed and he abstains willingly out of
fear of Allah definitely he will be
rewarded if
somebody is capable to do the bad deed
and he went for the DAT the example that
we gave earlier but the girl didn't show
up he waited for an hour two and three
said oh that's a sign let me go home the
bad deed has been already recorded
why because he was certain and something
out of his control have happened there
are certain places such as in Mecca if
any person happen to decide to do a bad
deed in Mecca even if he's not in Mecca
without doing it it will be actually
recorded as a bad
deed why because of the sacredness in
Mecca finally the prophet sallallah Al
wasallam mentioned in one Hadith if two
Muslims happen to fight against each
other with their swords then one of them
kill the other both of them will go to
Hell Fire the companion said Yool Allah
the murderer we know that he should go
to Hell Fire but what about the murdered
one he's killed he said because he too
is ke to kill his brother so for the
intention of killing another person even
though he wasn't able he happened to get
killed both will Enter Hell Fire may
Allah protect us against is that we
learn so much from the beautiful
guidance of our most beloved Prophet
Muhammad s
