Kind: captions Language: en [Music] AC [Music] alhamd my dear students welcome come to the eighth Hadith in the third level of the noble prophetic Hadith today's Hadith is narrated by one of the great companions namely who said that the prophet Sall alai wasallam said whoever strives to maintain his dignity Allah will help him to maintain his dignity and whoever refrains from asking of people Allah will make him independent of means and whoever strives to be patient Allah will help him to be patient then also in another narration uh by AB may Allah be pleased with him the messenger of Allah sallu alaihi wasallam has said no one is given any gift better than and more expensive more valuable than patience the narrator of the Hadith he is a senior companion who lived for 120 years 60 years of them in Jia before Islam and 60 years in Islam he died in the year 45 after the migration of the Prophet sallallahu alhi wasallam ham is a very um distinguished companion for many reasons one of whom that he was actually born inside the Kaaba Subhan Allah um I would like to join the explanation of the Hadith alongside with some of the phrases and their explanation the phrase whoever strives to maintain his dignity Allah will help him to maintain his dignity what is dignity here and what is you know inah Bak there is a verse verse number 200 and 73 Allah is guiding us as how should we dispense our charity and whom to give in charity so he says give the charity for the poor who have been restricted for the cause of Allah unable to move about in the land to earn their provision you know um an ignorant person would think that they are self-sufficient they think that these guys are rich why because they never ask they would never share with people their needs and they are poor and they're desperately in need for this or that or they ask them for help they are desperately in need but they don't ask so that's why people do not realize that those people are poor they always see them wearing clean clothes maybe it's the same outfit they keep washing them over and over and whenever they are being washed they stay at home because they don't have another said Subhan Allah then he said but you will know them by their characteristics by their signs like what they never ask home people they totally rely upon the Almighty Allah so Allah is bringing to our attention those who have means search for those poor people who don't ask enrich them out of Allah's Bounty give them some of what Allah has given you also when the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam said whoever refrains from asking from people asking what asking for help asking for financial help I mean uh it's only permissible whenever you are in dire need okay the Hadith actually has four beautiful pieces of advices the first is to uh so that you would maintain your dignity and if this is your intention and if you're striving to maintain your dignity guaranteed Allah will deliver you out of your hardship will provide you with the reasonable means so that you maintain your dignity when you refrain from asking financial help from people despite your need Allah will make you independent of means will provide you with what is sufficient and adequate for you so that you maintain this quality of not asking from people even though you are in need this requires a person to strive to avert his inner desire from two things the attachment to people and to seek it to seek Independence and to seek the help only from Allah subhana wa tala this is a very high level of upon Allah subhana wa ta imagine you have a friend or a neighbor or a sibling or a family member who's a multi-millionaire and you are in need desperately in need for some financial help even though if you pick up the phone and you say bro I need a couple thousand dollar my son is going to school and I don't have money he will send you 10 instead of two but you're trying to maintain your dignity you don't want to ask from people Allah from above the seventh heaven knows your need so he will suffice you he will make you independent of means because of the quality of trying to be dignified because actually asking from people um has some sort of embarrassment sometimes people will give you sometimes people will say no and if you ask once and they give you a second time they give you a third time they will stop picking up the phone or answering a call or maybe they block you they think that you're always asking from them but always asking from the almighty Allah makes him happy with you we studied that before one who doesn't ask from Allah Allah is angry with him we said four pieces of advices not to ask from people Allah will make you independent of means and the third whoever strives to be patient patience is literally the greatest quality no one is given a better gift than being patient but it is a very hard one it is as bitter as Al very bitter you know not everyone can afford it the prophet sallu alai wasallam promised whoever stes to be patient Allah will enable him to acquire patience and no one is given a better gift or quality that is more valuable than patience patience is mentioned in the Quran over 80 times it is sufficient to understand that the almighty Allah says indeed those who endure things patiently in this life shall receive the word on the day of judgment without limit if we know that word for fasting for the prayers for a good de 10 times more 700 times or even more but when it comes to patience without limit and the almighty Allah stated in give Glad Tidings to the patient ones those who endure things patiently especially whenever they're Afflicted with a Calamity and as you know that patience is needed in order to observe what Allah has commanded to abstain from what Allah has forbidden and also at the time of being tested and tried to say we all belong to Allah and unto him we shall return it couldn't be better I couldn't change Allah's decree I just have to be patient and accept it with pleasure and ask Allah to give me better than what I lost and to enable me to endure calamities patiently so those four pieces of advices are uh related to each other how it's all about striving making an effort even though it is difficult it is hard upon a person to be desperately in need to go to sleep without food without dinner kids are crying and I know that there are some people if I pick up the phone and ask from them they will send some food but I want to rely upon Allah alone I want to do honor my dignity I don't want to ask from people there are some people who frequently ask from people until they come on the day of judgment and their faces would not have a single piece of Flesh they lost ha so they don't have Flesh on the day of judgment on their faces especially those who ask whether they need or not because they think those people whom they ask from they have plenty of Mone of money they're very well off so we learn from the Hadith brothers and sisters that asking people to give you from their wealth um is something even though it is permissible at the time of need but if you avoid it for Allah's sake Allah will make you independent and will provide you with means so that you are content with what Allah has given you and you don't have to ask and this is indeed better remember uh I shared with you earlier how a person who will keep asking until we come on the day of judgment there is not even a shred of Flesh on their faces the Hadith is a sound Hadith and agreed upon its authenticity also the Hadith highlights the virtue of maintaining one's dignity patience and refraining from asking people show no interest in what people have remember there was a Hadith in which a man asked the prophet sallallah alhi wasallam guide me to something that if I do people will love me and if I do Allah will love me he said with regards to how to gain Allah's love lose interest in the life of this world and its glitter and it's holy Temptation and lose interest stop showing interest in what people have people will love you because people do not appreciate Those Who Stare at what they have they Envy them and say lucky you how did you get that but when you when you're around people they have plenty of things and you show no interest like you know so what it's D they appreciate you not you're appreciating them for what they have people will love you because you are a man of the Hereafter of aestheticism thirdly noble characteristics Maybe attained and gained by training you got to practice verse number 69 the almighty Allah says so Allah promises you strive for Allah's sake he stands next to you he shall guide you to his straight path and he will be always next to you and then we also learned that the prophet sallallah alaihi wasallam made a true promise in the words whoever strives to maintain his dignity Allah will help him to maintain his dignity whoever seeks to maintain his dignity and not ask from other than the almighty Allah the almighty Allah will make him independent and will suffice for him his need so he doesn't have to turn to other than the almighty Allah the Hadith also highlights the virtue of making oneself refrain uh from asking from anyone other than the almighty Allah so the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam said in one Hadith that the believer is very distinguished because his traits are very distinct how excellent is the condition of a Believer he's always in good condition if he's gifted with a blessing he's grateful to Allah and that is good for him if he's tested with a Calamity with poverty with the loss of loved ones he is patient and that two is good and no one behaves like that but a True Believer indeed patience is the greatest gift and nothing to be gifted with better than patience May the Almighty Allah make us among who bear witness to do what Allah has commanded to Bear witness to abstain from what Allah has forbidden and to Bear witness whenever we're Afflicted with any Calamity till next time [Music] for as [Music]
