alhamdulillah
in the last class we talked about the
things that permits a person not to fast
such as traveling such as being sick
such as having a uh the postmortal uh
bleeding
and the menes the monthly cycle for
women and such as when a person is
considered to
be Exempted from fasting due to hardship
due to pregnancy or due to
breastfeeding now
Islam relieves people from hardship
because it's a religion of ease and
simplicity and not a religion of
hardship and
difficulty and this is something between
you and Allah if a person says that I'm
sick he does not need a sick leave from
a
doctor to break his
fast he doesn't need
people's
approval what he needs is to be aware
that Allah is going to hold him
accountable and this is a balance that
any person in his
logical mind would find the answer to am
I finding it
hard to the extent that Allah would
permit me to break my fast or am I too
soft and lenient and I'm
taking religion as a
game and Allah will not forgive me this
is something you have to answer for
therefore people should not consider
this as well so and so told me to break
my fast I'm going to break my fast and
he knows that he could go on and at the
same time it is not something that
people should make life difficult and
hard for them to the extent that they're
have they have the concession to break
their fast but instead they still and
insist not
to there are issues related to this
topic and one of them
is those who are frequent
Travelers truck
drivers or those who
fly from one country to the
other or those who travel on
ship Allah has given them the concession
to break their
fast the though their travel may
take the vast majority of the
year and they may not have time to pay
back the fasting this year or the
following year nevertheless they can
accumulate all of that and make it up
one day
inshallah because they are qualified
they are given the concession from Allah
Asel and Allah Asel did not limit it to
a specific time rather Allah limited it
to the ability and when I'm traveling
I'm unable as
we've made three types and three levels
of fasting whether you are traveling or
whether you are sick so alhamdulillah
Allah had given us the concession so it
is up to them to do it or not for a
traveler even if traveling
is through means that are comfortable
someone was
traveling in an
airplane and in business class or In
First Class everything is comfortable
he's uh having a good time nevertheless
he has the concession from
Allah to skip fasting
and this is not limited whether
traveling is hard or easy it's up to him
as long as he's traveling this is the
main reason or justification for
skipping uh his fasting nevertheless it
is very important to point out that if
I'm in my
hometown and my flight is at 100
p.m. 3 4 hours 5 hours Before
Sunset I have to fast the entire
day until the plane takes
off until I set off on my journey not
before that not because I know that I'm
traveling at 1: or 2: p.m. I skip the
whole day this is not permissible you
skip fasting you break your fast you
interrupt your fasting when you set off
on your journey and not before
that number
three if
a
person justification for breaking the
past the
fast is
uplifted is he obliged to continue to
fast the rest of the day
meaning I was in another country coming
back home so when
I traveled I was F I was not fasting I
reached the airport of my
hometown
midday now I'm in my home now I'm not a
traveler do I have to am I obliged to
continue fasting until the end of the
day until
sunset knowing that this day is not
count count it for
me another scenario a woman who is on
her
mensis midday she sees her Purity she
performs and she
prays is she obliged to continue to fast
until sunset like everyone else in both
cases the answer is
no because Allah has given these two and
those who are like them the concession
not to fast due to your due to their
excuse of traveling of being on their
menstrual cycle so once this is
gone if they fast the day would not
count for them so what's the point it
doesn't make any sense and Islam does
not oblige them to do any such thing
finally
the fourth point
is a woman who is experiencing irregular
bleeding what is we spoke about that a
woman is
either pure she can pray and fast be
intimate with her husband Etc or she is
on her
mensis which means that she cannot pray
she cannot fast or be intimate with her
husband in between there is a woman who
is
called and she's a woman who gets her
monthly who gets irregular bleeding that
is neither her monthly cycle nor she's
pure she doesn't see her Purity this
woman is a normal person with an illness
that causes this irregular
bleeding she has to pray on
time and she has the concession if it is
difficult for her to make W for every F
and clean herself to combine between and
and between and and pray F on time so
this is permissible for women who find
it really hard to do that but if there's
no real hardship she has to pray on time
and she also can pray and fast and she
has to pray and fast and that is valid
for her and Allah Knows
