alhamd
the prophet sallai wasam the way he
interacted with those who were go going
through hardship and those who were
challenged or physically or mentally
handicapped it was
phenomenal the prophet sallallah Ali
wasallam was so sweet and so
kind where we would learn from the way
he behaved with
them the World Health Organization The
Who and the
IMF they all say about a
billion handicapped
or challenged people or people with
special
needs who consist about 15% of the
population of the Earth exist
nowadays and there is a huge difference
between the rulings of
Allah and the rulings of
men
people their man-made laws change
according to their whims and
Desires in the previous Nations those
who were
challenged those who
were unprivileged
due to their
disability they used to think that
demons are inside of them so in some
Nations they used to execute children
with
disabilities and they neglected those
with chronic illnesses who needed
constant help until they
died and they thought of them as useless
they can't help in Wars they don't have
any
benefit and in the Civilized West till
recently such
freaks used to
be
employed and they used to work in
circuses so that people would make fun
of them and make money out of them the
Arabs were not that
worse but they weren't much better
because yes they did not make fun of
them and they did not treat them as bad
nevertheless
they could not sit with them or eat with
them thinking that they are something to
be
disgusted of and this is why Allah says
in the Quran that there is
no burden or harm for a blind man or
someone who is limping or someone who's
sick to eat from our homes and their own
homes and there's no problem on them not
to
fight and the
prophet even those who were mentally
challenged or
disabled used to cater for their
needs a woman who had something in her
head meaning she was not mentally stable
came to the prophet sallallah Ali
wasallam one day and said oh prophet of
Allah I want to talk to you so he said
look in whatever place we could meet in
the streets of Medina and I will meet
you and she met him in one of the
streets of Medina and talked to him
until the prophet Sall wasallam heard
what she had to say
Malik may Allah be pleased with him he
was a blind man and he was from the
ansar he asked the prophet sallai
wasallam to come to his home the prophet
to come to his home and pray in his home
so that he could take that spot as a
Masjid so the prophet did answer his
request and he went and prayed there
as
he had liked and that was with the
Companions and the old prayed in
congregation behind the prophet Alat
wasam and the prophet used to lead them
and direct them to whatever was
beneficial for
them when a blind man came to the
prophet
Alam and asked for permission to pray
home
the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam
said to him do you hear the aan do you
live within the proximity of the Masjid
the man said yes so the prophet said I
have no excuse for you you have to
attend the
prayer and people would say why did the
prophet allow Malik to pray in his home
and this blind man was denied such
permission the answer is Easy's house
was way way far out of the outskirts of
Medina and he's blind and there are
valleys that
interrupt his route to the Masjid so
imagine if there was a flood or some
type of something that may endanger his
life and may uh uh uh kill him may Allah
forbid also the prophet used to appoint
some of them challenged
people to responsibilities as in the
case when
he appointed
Abdullah Mak makum to lead and Rule
Medina when he went uh on some
Expeditions and also the prophet Salli
wasallam used to make Dua for
them and this is obvious when when a
woman came to the prophet Alam she says
oh prophet of Allah I
get epilepsies I get
seizures and I fall on the
ground
so make Dua for me so the prophet said
to
herat if you wish I'll make Dua for you
but if you are
patient then I shall uh
you will be admitted to
Jenna so she said no I want to go to
Jenna but make Dua for me that when I
have my sieges and I fall down that my a
is not exposed so the prophet sallallah
Ali wasallam did Dua for her and the
prophet sallallahu alaihi Ali
wasallam told us that this type of
test is
a test from Allah and a blessing at the
same time he says indeed Allah said if I
test my slave with the loss of the two
most precious things to him that is his
two eyes and he Bears it with patience I
will compensate him for that with
Paradise so imagine blind people when
they are patient anticipate anticipating
the reward from Allah for their
disability Allah grant them J and he
used to
take these challenged people's
Calamity with care and he considered
their feelings so he would not hurt them
the prophet saidat let us go to the
cited one among
Banu to the cited one in he's referring
to someone who was
blind he said so that we would visit him
as he sick so he did not describe him as
being blind rather he said that he is
the sighted one so that he would not
hurt his
feelings and finally the prophet Alat
wasam told us to learn
lessons from seeing such people being
tested and make the Dua which Omar may
Allah be pleased with him narrated he
said the prophet saidai whoever sees one
who Afflicted and says praise be to
Allah who has spared me that with which
he has tested you and Favored Me Over
many of those whom he created the the
prophet says Alam whoever says this will
be
spared uh uh that Affliction for as long
as he
lives of course you don't go to
someone who has this Affliction who has
this test and
say no you don't say it in front of him
you don't say it while he's listening
rather you say it between you and
yourself so that you wouldn't add insult
to injury
