when people revert to Islam
they become
Muslims and the best of generations that
had ever walked the Earth was the
generation of the Companions and there
is no doubt in
that now the companions were not
infallible they were not Angels who
could not
sin they had their own flaws and
shortcomings
yet
among the rest of
humanity they were the best of the
best and like the prophet
saidat every son of Adam is sinful this
is by default this is human nature yet
the prophet
saidat said he said
but the best of these
Sinners those who
repent so when you fall into
sin you just don't stay
down you rather shake it
out and stand up and do whatever you can
to seek Allah's forgiveness and become
more stronger than you used to to be the
prophet dealt with
sinners in a way that would be
our road
map because the way we deal with
Sinners is definitely
wrong we deal with Sinners as if we
ourselves are without sin so we're harsh
and rude on on
them thinking that they've done
something that is heus when which which
is is they have done something heus by
sinning but we shouldn't treat them as
if we don't have any sins or
flaws the prophet Alat he used
to show those who were
sinners the gravity and the
seriousness of their sin and how bad it
is once mother AA was talking to the
prophet
Alam and he met and she
mentioned the prophet's other wife safia
may Allah be pleased with her mother
safia originally was a Jew and she was
beautiful
so mother AA May felt felt jealous so
when talking about sfia she wanted to
sort of look down upon her and she said
oh prophet of Allah it is sufficient
that safia is this indicating that she's
short she didn't say anything but she
just said this the prophet was outraged
was angered by that that and he said to
Hera you've said a
word that was so bad if it were to be
mixed with the water of the
ocean it would have spoiled
it and this is to indicate how bad that
sin was and the
prophet
did show the people how bad the sin was
but he would never make them fall into
Despair and that Allah would never
forgive them and that Allah would put
them in in hell for their sin no he
would give them the Glad Tidings
whenever he sees them
remorseful once the prophet prayed
F and a man stood up and he said oh
prophet of Allah Purify Me
implement the prescribed punishment upon
me because I've have sinned in another
narration the man explained that he met
a
woman and he did
everything but he did not go to third
base everything is Haram but he did not
have
intercourse the prophet did not answer
himat
so they
prayed and the following day F then the
prophet said where is the man who asked
me yesterday so the man stood
up and the prophet said did you pray
with us all five prayers and the man
said yes with
remorse showing in his
face so the prophet sallallahu alaihi
wasallam said
Allah forgives the
sins from one prayer to the other
because Allah says and this Ayah was
revealed and establish prayer at the two
ends of the day and at the approach of
the night indeed Good Deeds do away with
misdeeds and that was the Glad Tiding
for the umah so the prophet did not
scold him did not reprimand him was not
rude to him rather showed him he showed
him the way of repentance and Allah's
forgiveness and this shows you that
Islam is a religion that loves and
prefers concealing the sin rather than
exploding it
and making it apparent and disclosed to
everyone as people do
nowadays this is how the prophet dealt
with
sin and whenever the prophet sallallahu
alaih wasallam dealt with those
Sinners he used to prohibit evil in a
soft way as he did with that NAD who
urinated in the Masjid or
that companion who talked loudly during
congregational prayer when the other
person
sneezed however when a person was
knowledgeable then the prophet sallallah
alaihi
alam's
advice would take another scale
and as an example
abdah may Allah be pleased with him once
came to the prophet Alam with
clothes dyed in
zaffron and we know that this is only
done by the idol worshippers so the
prophet Alat wasam reprimanded him he
said to him did your mother order you to
do this and that was really
tough on such a companion and he said oh
prophet of Allah should I wash them off
he immediately acknowledged his
sin and how the prophet was angry with
him so he asked should I wash them off
he said no burn
them
and sometimes the prophet would go a
little bit
further an extra mile
and he would order the companions to
totally bycott
Sinners as in the case with the three
companions who did not go with him on
the Battle of
tabuk likewise when
Abu may Allah be pleased with him looked
down upon Bal and he said oh you are the
son of
black woman which was a racist remark
because they had a
fight and the prophet said you are a man
of
ignorance and that was really tough on
Abu who was among the first to accept
Islam in
Islam likewise once he saw one of his
companions in the Masjid wearing a
golden
ring so he went angrily to him snatch it
from his finger and tossed It On The
Ground saying why would any of you put a
stone of fire in his
hand and he
left so the companions told this
companion go and pick up your ring and
sell it or give it to your wife or do
something useful to it and the man said
by Allah I will not touch something that
the prophet tossed
away likewise the prophet salallahu
alaih
wasallam
would be
harsh when people tried to bend the
rules us Z when he tried to soften the
prophet's
heart and to be a little bit lenient
because he
sentenced a woman from the dignitaries
of for her hand to be chopped off
because she used to steal
things so the prophet was angered by
that and he scolded Usama and he said
are you
interceding to prevent one of the
prescribed punishments of Allah from
being implemented by Allah if Fatima
were to steal I would have chopped her
hand off if my own
daughter would have stolen money I would
have Cho chopped her hand
off and when
people wanted to fall in sin out of
their own ignorance the prophet
sallallah wasam was easy on
them the prophet
reminded them of Allah and advised them
a young
man came once in the middle of the
Masjid in front of everybody and said oh
prophet of Allah allow me to
fornicate so the companions were
outraged and they wanted to attack the
boy for being so
disrespectful so they thought and the
prophet said sit down sit sit down let
me handle this and he spoke with the boy
the young man he said do you have a
mother said yes would you like people to
fornicate with your mother said no
prophet of Allah and he said
likewise others don't like people to
fornicate with their moms do you have a
sister do you have an aunt do you have
this do you have that so the prophet
kept on speaking with him with this
logic until the
boy realized that in order for him to
engage in such a heinous act that would
not be fine with others exactly as it
would not be fine with him if someone
would have done this to some of his
women
folk then the
prophet put his hand on his chest and
said oh Allah forgive his sins purify
his heart and preserve and protect his
private
part after that the boy would not look
for such sins
ever and the
prophet used to correct what was
wrong but before he did this he made
sure that it was wrong sometimes s when
we see sinful things we jump the
gun
without
verifying the reasons maybe there is an
excuse for what we're seeing instead of
blaming people and and and throwing
false accusations left and right and
Center for example once the prophet saw
Alam a good quality dates and he said
this is not ours that's good dates where
did you get it from so B said oh prophet
of Allah I had
two of our bad quality dates so I went
to the market and I exchanged it with
this one s of excellent quality the
prophet said oh oh this is exactly what
RBA is about this is totally prohibited
B you should have sold this two s of bad
quality dates cash the money then you
could have bought whatever you wanted
from good quality dates not by
exchanging them like that send it back
and do as I told you to
do and likewise whatever was wrong the
prophet used to ask to be rectified a
man comes three times alaykum after
praying two
and the prophet says you did not pray go
and pray again he does it twice and
three times and the guy says by Allah
who sent you with the truth I don't know
anything more than what you had seen so
the prophet teaches
himat so the prophet sallallahu alaihi
wasallam was lenient to them but he
would first
verify that this was sinful then he
would correct it and he would use the
right approach and tolerance to do
so and when the prophet Sall alaihi
wasallam prohibited
evil he would
not make a a scene out of it in the
sense that he would not expose
individuals because this would tarnish
their reputation
forever for example when people
said
to we are willing to
accept buying you off and setting you
free providing that your Allegiance is
to us not to her the prophet sallallahu
Al
wasam went and taught the people in the
Masjid without naming them and he said
no one can make such conditions that are
not in the book of of Allah in the Quran
and likewise
when those or that
man who went to
collect the zakat and came back with the
zakat money from different tribes in the
region and he said this is yours and
this was gifted to me the prophet was
outraged because this is a clear bribe
why would they give it to you so he
taught the Muslims that this is a bribe
and why do we employ people and they
come and say that people gifted this to
us wouldn't you have stayed in your
father and mother's home and see would
they give anything to you or not they
gave it to you because of your post of
your
position and likewise the prophet
sallallah alaihi wasallam would
have refrained from
offering funeral prayer over
some sort of sins to highlight that this
is sinful and people should avoid it as
in the case where he refrained from
offering funeral prayer for the one who
committed suicide the one who stole from
public money and the one who died with
debts on
