so we did
alhamdulillah and
slaughtered
the what to do with the meat well the
Sunnah is that you divide it into three
parts as the salaf always did this give
oneir to the poor give onethird as a
gift to neighbors and loved ones and
onethird you consume your self and Allah
says then eat therefore and
Feed The Wretched people or the riched
poor so this is recommended but if a
person takes a small part and give it to
the poor and consumes the rest that does
the job but it's recommended that you do
it in
three3 as uh the Sala used to
do in the past there it was a time of
difficulty and hunger so the prophet
sallallahu alaihi wasallam used to
forbid them from
storing or keeping any of the
meat over 3 days so you either eat from
it or disperse it in less than three
days and then this ruling was abated so
the prophet
saidat I had forbidden you to store the
meat of the sacrifice for more than 3
days but now keep it as long as you wish
and this was reported by Imam Muslim so
there's no problem there's no issue at
all in storing it alhamdulillah now with
the presence
of refrigerators we can do that without
any
problem what is the ruling on offering
sacrifice to other than
Allah there's no doubt that your
sacrifice is a form of
worship and if
you attribute any form of worship to
other than Allah this is a breach of the
the of
worship so if I pray for someone other
than Allah if I invoke others other uh
someone other than Allah if I fear if I
have hope if I have trust andul
dependence to other than Allah all of
these are forms of
worship and this is why Allah
says say that my prayers and my
sacrifice and my life and my death are
all for Allah the
almighty so whoever does
sacrifice for a d to a Dar to a pier to
a grave to a tree to a mountain or to
whatever this is Major
shik and whoever does this is cursed by
by
Allah now a lot of the people may have
the confusion and they mix up oranges
with apples so they think and this is
prevalent in Arabia when we have someone
coming as a guest so we slaughter a
sheep and prepare food and rice and give
it to them so wh why did you slaughter a
sheep because I have a guest ah you're
slaughtering then for other than Allah
this is totally bogus and not logical
when
I Slaughter I say
bismah and this is for Allah I'm
slaughtering in the name of Allah unlike
when I Slaughter in the name of she sh
or or or whomever this is for them so
when I
say then the slaughtering is for
Allah and what I do with the meat is
whether I distribute it to the poor or I
give it to the guest or I consume it
there's no problem in that none
whatsoever another misconception among
some
Muslims they think that when a
woman
Slaughters or when a boy Slaughters that
this is an
invalid
sacrifice because they look
down at
women and this is not true the consensus
of Scholars that the sacrifice of a
woman or a child who knows what he's
doing is
valid and the Hadith that backs it up
Hadith of Malik May Allah be pleased
with him when a sheep of his was
shephered by a young girl and one sheep
fell and was almost about to die so
immediately she broke a stone and made
it sharp and slaughtered that sheep
so Malik said to his folks and his
family don't eat any of it until we ask
the prophet Alam and when he came and he
asked the prophet Alam the prophet
approved what she had done and ordered
him to eat from it and likewise a boy
who is beyond or below the age of
puberty but he knows what he's doing and
he knows how to slaughter and he says
bis and he Slaughters the Sheep you also
can utilize this and use it without any
