study inshallah many different aspects

innovations in the religion and the
different deviant or some of the deviant
sects as a result of the subject and uh
some of the signs of the hour and other
aspects. of inshalla that we ask Allah
subhana t to make it benefiting for all
of us and to make us steadfast upon the
correct belief the belief of the people
of
the first set of series will be about
and the word al is innovation
when something new something invented
and this is a very important subject in
the devel Islam especially with the
subject of ala
And uh as important as it is to learn a
associating partners with Allah which
negates
the oneness of worship of Allah subhana
wa tala which is related toallah the
foundation of the religion the subject
of the that negates the fact when a
person says
the prophetat is the one to be followed
what negates that or meaning the sunnah
of the prophet
is the so it's either the sunnah or the
either to follow the sunnah of the
prophetat or a person would fall into
the categories of ba innovations in the
dean something introduced and what's
unique about the dean of Islam is Allahh
says
on that day I have completed your
religion and perfected for you the favor
upon you and choose the religion of
Islam and pleased for you for the
religion of Alis Islam to be your
religion. So the dean has been
completed. There's no addition to the
dean of al-Islam. There's no
reinterpreting things to fit this or
that. The dean has been completed. It's
been interpreted. It's been implemented
at the time of the prophetatam at the
time of the
early generations of Islam. And this is
what we need to be upon. But al
innovations especially when it comes to
matters of belief people introducing a
belief that it's not in the Quran not in
the sunnah the prophetat the sahaba were
not upon it. The early generations of
Islam people might like it or might it
might taste good looks good but this is
of no benefit whatsoever. And Allahhana
warned us one of the most fearful verse
in the Quran. Allahh says
Should I inform you? Say Muhammad
sallallam. Should I inform you of the
the people those who are the worst and
the most losers in their actions? Those
who their and their work and their
actions are deviated in this life while
they think they do good. Because the bid
is different than the sin. The sin a
person knows that he's committing a sin
doing something haram. and he wants to
repent. He feels bad. But when someone
innovates something in the religion,
they do it seeking the pleasure of
Allah. They want to be close to Allah
subhana tala with these matters of
innovations. So why would they then
repent to Allah subhanaa tala from it?
So let's study it from a religious
knowledge point of view not just as an
admonition as an a reminder. First of
all, the definition of the word, what's
the word al means linguistically? It's
something that is initiated, something
that is invented. So, not everything
invented is a bad thing. If it's a
worldly method that people will benefit
from it like microphones, like
television, you know, things of that
nature. It depends on how you use it.
So, this is an invention, but this is
not the subject or this is what not what
we're talking about here religiously.

and of course Allahh is Allahh is
meaning that he created the heavens and
earth without a previous example. So
this is Allah subhana wa tala and that's
it's a good word if it's used in the
right context of it. You know someone is
mda someone abdas that means someone did
a great job did something that nobody
did before in their work in their
scientific uh you know things and so on.
But when it comes to the dean of al
Islam, when it comes to the revelation
from Allah subhana t matters of unseen
to us and to believe in the unseen and
rulings matters of matters of right then
this is something that is condemned and
it's an evil thing. Why? Because as one
of the comprehensive definitions of it,
it's an invented way
in the matters of worship of Allah
subhana tala without any evidence from
the Quran or from the sunnah of the
prophetat.
When we talk about we're talking about
unseen that's what a belief you believe
in the unseen. If you believe that there
is a a human being in front of you
that's not a belief. The belief has to
be in the unseen and the unseen the only
way to know it is through the revelation
from Allah.
When you when it comes to the salah for
this is how things are. Can someone
invent a sixth salah for example as an
obligation. Can someone add another or
take a or whatever there is? Of course
not. Why? Because this is innovation in
the deen which is not permissible.
So this is basically what the bid is in
not in the materialistic things that
people would benefit in their livelihood
matters and things of that nature
because some people they say funny
things or they try to make mockery of
the subject of and the prophetat to show
the importance of it he would warn his
um and almost and you know it's that the
prophetat will give the
and you would see
that every is deviation and he would
mention that
so and we'll talk about the importance
of knowing that so that nothing is being
belittled in this subject. So that's why
what's the just take it as a general
ruling here. What is the the rulings of
ala is haram? All of the bida is haram
but some of the bid can be in the state
of disbelief. If it's innovation in the
deen that takes a person outside the
fold of Islam, you inventing for the
people a matter of belief that negates
the proper belief in the Quran and in
the sunnah of the prophetat like some of
the deviant sects
that they did matters of major disbelief
as it's going to be explained inshallah
and there are evidences in the Quran and
the sunnah of the prophetat that talks
about how that is forbidden as Allahhana
said about the disbeliever.
Or do they have partners that they
legislated for them in matters of the
religion that Allah subhana t did not
permit? Religion is only from Allah.
Who's the one that has the right to say
this is halal, this is haram. This is
what you do. Allah subhana tala alone.
So many verses in the Quran that talks
about this. And the prophet wasallam
said in the hadith which is one of the
principles of the dean
whoever introduced introduced anything
in this matters of other of ours this
manners of ours that is not part of it
it's rejected against the person which
is in inventing something in the
religion of al- Islam and the
prophetatam when he warned his ummah and
he addressed the sahhab by saying
after commanding them to hold fast to
the dean of Allah he said whoever lives
among you they would see many
differences and that's what we see we
see many differences with regards to
understanding of the religion then he
said what's the cure of that how to save
yourself
be upon my sunnah my way be upon it
don't leave it and be upon the way of
the rightly guided after
And the importance of that for even the
things that get initiated then
afterwards how they dealt with it.
Hold fast to it
and bite on it with your m teeth
and warning them and be warned against
the newly introduced matters.
Because indeed every introduced matter
is innovation and every innovation is an
astray. So the prophet wasallam said not
some of it is good. No all of the all
the innovations areal
are deviation from the truth. So this is
clearly and how the they talked about
this that the hadith that we just
mentioned
and
this hadith is one of the principles of
the dean of al-Islam which means whoever
introduced something in the dean that
has no foundation to it whatsoever then
it's not to be looked into whatsoever
it's something that is innovation from
the dean asd the companion of the
prophetat he said
see How close the words are means
follow.
Do not innovate. Do not make things from
your own self.
You have been sufficed for
every innovation in the religion is
deviation. And also he used to say
that means you will might introduce
things things will be introduced to you.
So if you see something new then go back
to your first matters of yours. return
back to how things were at the time of
the prophetatam
and many statements of the early
generations of al-Islam that would call
people to hold fast on the religion of
al- Islam the way it was at the time of
the prophetatam it's been perfected and
the companions and the early generations
