four and we're talking about many
different aspects of that we ought to
learn and one of which is the signs of
the hour even though this is something
that can be explained in the subject of
the pillar of the belief in the last day
we'll talk about it inshall briefly
because this is one of the matters of
belief because it's about matter of
unseen and or the signs of the hour. Uh
that means it's mentioned in the Quran
or in the Sunnah of the prophetatam
that whenever these signs happens that
means this is a sign that the day of
judgment is getting closer and closer.
So this is from revelation and this is
part of the belief and when it happens
it shows clearly the truthfulness of the
message that was revealed to the
prophetatam.
So these signs of the hour can be
something evil or can be something
permissible. It doesn't have to be that
it's always something condemned you know
like you know for example building tall
buildings.
This is the prophet sallallahu alaihi
wasallam said that this is one of the
signs of the hour you know but does that
mean this is a forbidden act? Of course
not. uh for the prophetat he said one of
the signs of the hour that wealth will
be in abundance
lots of wealth that by itself is not a
sinful act right so this is to show that
some of these
signs of the hour doesn't mean that it's
all evil because some people think that
it's all in the evil category some many
of them of course they are so when they
looked into these texts these and the
Quran and the sunnah the prophet
that talks about the signs of the hour.
They talk about minor signs and major
signs. Minor signs that means it's
something or signs that does not change
the universe versus the major signs
where once it happens it happens one
after the other and the universe is
changing and sun rises from the west and
things of that nature. So when it comes
to the minor ones you know also they
would they when they looked at the
hadith of the prophetatam
some of these signs already happened
some of it it's already happening and
some of it did not happen yet and it is
also for the people of knowledge for
them are the ones to say that it
happened or it did happen. It's not for
us to interpret the Quran and the hadith
of the prophetat wasam according to our
own desires as some people they do. Oh,
this is the sign of our this is what the
hadith of the prophetat wasam said. We
have to follow what's in the Quran and
in the sunnah of the prophetat and
follow the people of knowledge when it
comes to these matters and these signs
is going to happen no matter what. So
there's not much of a great benefit to
know whether it happened or not if
you're not a person of knowledge unless
there is hmma or rulings that comes as a
result of that and that's why we are in
need of the people of knowledge to
understand the dean of Islam. So when we
talk first about the minor signs of the
hour uh that already happened you have
the messengership of the prophetat
the first sign of the hour is that the
prophetat was sent because he's the
final messenger of Allah no more
messenger to come and the prophetat he
said
I will send myself and the hour how
close he isam
to the hour to the last day is like
these two fingers and he pointed with
the forefinger and the middle finger
that means very close to each other and
in the life of humanity on the face of
earth 1,400 years or whatever the time
between the prophetat was until the day
of judgment is nothing compared to the
long life of humanity on the face of
earth. So this is the first minor sign
of the hour. uh also the split of the
moon as the as Allahh says in the Quran
the hour is coming nearer and the moon
has been splitted. So that happened at
the time of the prophetatam
and uh the death of the prophetat wasam
is one of the minor signs as the
prophetat he said
count six things that happens before the
hour and then the prophetat he said
and so on my death and then the opening
the liber liberation of mdus in
Jerusalem and so on. So this is one of
the uh signs
uh and then as mentioned in the hadith
for Makd Jerusalem to be liberated to be
under the Muslim rule and this happened
in the time of Omar.
So this is some of uh the signs of the
hour and one of which is which is the
fittan and the tribulations becomes
apparent and in abundance and lots of
killing. And the prophetat was he said
the hour is not going to be established
till the knowledge has been taken away
and the earthquakes will be frequent
and the time will become close. You know
you feel like a month is like a week and
so on
and the will become apparent
and will be also frequent. What is
killing killing
also for the wealth to be in abundance
and as the prophetat was he said to the
extent of which that the killer he
doesn't know why he's killing and the
one that is being killed he doesn't know
why they're being killed because lots of
it and this is something that has been
happening so it's fitten that it's
happened and it continues to happen.
Uh, one of which is as the prophetat
said following the ways of the nations
before imitating the other nations,
imitating other people and not being
imitating of course the way of the and
the way of the prophetat
as the prophetat he said.
So the prophetat wasam he said the hour
is not going to established be
established till my umah will take the
the path or the ways of the nations
before hand span hands with hands span
one arm by one arm and they said to the
prophetat is like the Persians and the
Romans he said and who are the people
except them meaning yes this is the case
so this is all part of or some of these
signs that already happened and
continuously happening
and these things will take some time you
know some of it is even from the time of
the companions
and it shows also that the duty upon the
Muslim to be warned against the evil of
what's evil and to stay away from the
fittan and the tribulations and to learn
what came in the Quran and in the sunnah
of the prophet with regards to the
fittan and how to deal with it to
protect oneself from it and not to lose
one's im and one's faith as a result of
that. So this is some of it and we'll

minor signs of the hour next time
