Kind: captions Language: en for [Music] I start in the name of Allah the compassionate the merciful. All praise is due to Allahawel and may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon his prophet Muhammad his companions and his followers all until the day of resurrection. And I welcome you to this new lesson of taps at of level four at Zad Academy. And we are actually uh continuing surah and we ended with uh ayah and then we are going to continue uh this surah today from ayah 9 until ayah 19 where Allah says after for. These are the verses where Allahel says the meaning of which uh have you considered the the one who forbids a servant when he prays? How about if he is following guidance or enjoying righteousness? Uh how about if he meaning the one who's praying is following guidance and enjoying uh enjoys righteousness. How about the one who denies and turns away? So this is the one who is forbidding the one who prays. So if he who denies and turns away, does he know does he not know that Allah sees? No. If he does not desist, we will surely drag him by the forlock. A lying sinning for uh lock. Then let him call his associates. We will call the angels of hell. No, do not obey him but prostrate and draw near to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala. This is 9-19. Now uh coming to the commentary it's not like you see with your own eyes but rather have you considered have you seen with your mind that is tell me what you think. This is a denunciation and an expression of astonishment at the state of the one who forbids someone to pray. And this is regarding uh this is a reprehensible deed um where the one who forbids a servant when he prays. This refers to Abu Jah uh who had forbidden the messenger of Allah Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam to pray. Now it was narrated by Muslim that Abu said Abu Jahal said does Muhammad rub his face in the dust in front of you. He was talking to his own companions and it was said yes. He said uh by and he was swearing by and als rub his face in the dust. That's what he wanted to do. Then he came to the messenger of Allah sallall alaihi wasallam when he was praying thinking that he would step on his neck. But suddenly uh they saw him meaning the people around um Abu Jahal uh stepping backwards shielding his faith with his own hands and it was said to him what is the matter with you? What happened to you? He said between me and him is a ditch of fire, terror and wings. The messenger of Allaham said if he had come close to me the angels would have snatched him by his limbs. So this was a protection from allahel for the prophetatam from Abu Jahal who wanted to step on the on the neck of the prophetam or to rub his face on in the dust but he could not do that because Allah created a ditch of fire between him and and and the prophetat wasam and then he saw terror and wings meaning wings of the angels because had he come closer he would have been snatched by the these angels and um uh by by his own limbs. So that was that was the protection and that was the story of Abu Jah regarding um forbidding the prophetam from praying. Now he uh how about if he is following uh guidance meaning why would he do so when he is following the guidance? This is the prophet sallallaihi wasallam the messenger of Allahawel. You forbid him to pray and he was following the straight path in his deeds um or in joining piety in his words and you are rebuking him and threatening him for praying. Allah is is is is showing this saying why do you do that when he's when he's a right uh a righteous man who is doing this uh uh worship to allahel how about the one who denies and turns away now coming back to Abu Jahal again where he denied the truth with which Allah sent Muhammad wasallam and turned away from it and he did not believe in it does he not know that Allah sees. This is again another warning and it's uh showing him the requ in in control. And he said this is a deterrent and rebuke to the transgressor Abu Jahal who forbade the prophet wasallam to pray if he does not desist. If he did not stop what he was doing, we will surely drag him by the forlock. That is, if he does not stop this evil and stubbornness, we shall seize him forcefully and violently by his forlock and and which is the hair in the front of the head. That is the front of the head and the hair will be pulled and he will be dragged into hell. uh with that this is like the verse in which allahel says regarding this is in the wicked will be known by their marks and they will be seized by the four locks and the feet. So the word is translated above as drag. Refers to grabbing someone um or something violently and forcefully um and then uh throwing it you know like pulling them so forcefully and strongly. A lying sinning forlock. This is description of the uh head and the forlock of Abu Jahal. It's it's regarding Abu Jal who was a liar, a sinner because he was lying in his words and he was a sinner by his own uh deeds and actions. Then let him call his associates that is his own people, his own tribe, his own companions. Uh the wording of the phrase translated here as let him call is a challenge to him um to serve uh uh and serves to prove that he is helpless. He would not be able to even get the company of the people of his own group or the whole of his tribe. He will they will not be able to help him. Abu Jal who was held in high esteem among his own people was was uh sitting in a place called Anadwa for example with his own associates where they would gather around him and talk to him because he was so esteemed by his own tribe uh in Quraysh we will call the angels of hell they are these are the angels of punishment and allahel described them here elsewhere as As Allah says, harsh and severe, they do not disobey Allah uh in what he commands them, but do what they are commanded. Mayun. So these this is the description of these great severe and strong and harsh uh angels. In Arabic the word Zabania Zabania is translated as the angels of hell because this refers to the police because it is it comes from the word zebin. Zeban meaning pushing because they will push people towards hell. That's why they're called Zabania. Now coming to the last two ayah no do not obey him. The last ayah do not obey him but prostrate and draw near to allahel. referring to the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam calling him to um not to give up his own prayer to uh continue doing uh the righteous deeds uh prostrate that is to pray to Allah and come near to him by doing acts of worship and obedience and the close the closest a person to allahel is in the state of sjud uh or prostration. He says the prophet says in the closest a person is to his lord is when he is prostrating so offer a lot of supplication or dua. What we learn from these ayas is the following. First the verses contain unique miracle of the glorious Quran because these verses issued a challenge to Abu Jah and Abu Jah heard these verses and his own supporters and associates heard it but no one was dared to attack the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam and uh these although these words provoked them yet they were not able to do anything. So that's a challenge and a miracle of the glorious Quran. Secondly, the stern words and stern warning of Allahel that he addressed a stubborn rebellious Abu Jah indicate that the more a person transgresses the uh harsh and the greater will be his share of Allah's punishment. So that is depending on how great the sin is, the the great uh the punishment will be. So that is like a a rule. This is what we learn and in going to the activities uh explain the meaning of the following words. We will surely drag him and this is pulling him violently uh and forcefully. That is by the forlock meaning the hair of the head of the front part of the of the head. U his associates meaning his own tribe those people who were sitting with him his own supporters that is his associates. Secondly, in the phrase and the one who forbids uh a servant when he prays, who is the one who forbade it? Well, we know that it is Abu Jahal. And who is the servant who was praying? We know it's the prophet sallallah.aii wasallam. Does he uh not know that Allah sees? What is the significance of this verse in the life of the believer? Of course, it showed that allahel is watching is looking after the the everything that a person does. So Allah looking after doesn't doesn't Allah uh uh see him it's it's just like a warning that look even if you try to do something bad remember that allahel is watching over you and his angels are recording everything that you do and you'll be u uh receiving the requir what you did. That's that's a good a good thing for a believer to always watch uh whatever he does because allahel is there watching and knowing everything that a person does. This brings us to the end of our lesson for today. Until we meet you inshallah in this in the second or coming lesson I leave you with Allah's care and protection. Get [Music] to for [Music] speech.
