Alhamdulillah.
In the name of Allah, the compassion of
the merciful. All praise is due to Allah
the Almighty and may the peace peace and
blessings of Allah be upon his prophet
Muhammad, his family, his companions and
his followers all until the day of
reckoning. I welcome you to this new
lesson from the series of taps level
four at Zed Academy and we are today
dealing with surah a zal. We are dealing
basically with the introduction and the
meaning of the verses and we will delay
the learning until the following lesson
inshallah.
But uh we first recite the surah
afterman.
Sorry.
We say
So these are the verses 1 to8 from
where Allah says the meaning of which
when the earth is shaking with its final
earthquake and the earth discharges its
burden And man says, "What is wrong with
it?" That day it will report its news
because your Lord has commanded it. That
day the people will depart separated
into categories to
to be shown the results of their deeds.
So, whoever does an atom's weight of
good will see it and whoever does an
atom's weight of evil will see it. That
is
a zel. Now, what has been narrated
concerning this surah? Um, alkari and
Muslim narrated that the messenger
wasallam was asked about giving zaka on
donkeys. whether if you own donkeys, do
you have to pay zaka? He said, "Nothing
has been revealed to me concerning that
except this concise and unique verse.
So, whoever does an atom's weight of
good will see it, and whoever does an
atom's weight of evil will see it." And
he said,
meaning um I know that whatever good
deed you do, you'll see it. whatever bad
deed you do. This is just like a general
statement and nothing was particular
about about owning a donkeys and uh
whether there is zaka in it or not. Now
uh coming to the meaning of these
verses, allahel said the meaning of
which when the earth is shaken that is
when the earth is moved and shaken
violently at the onset of the hour that
is when the hour comes the earth will be
shaken so hardly and violently and what
is referred to here is allahel me
mentions
elsewhere says for example in
oh mankind fear your Lord indeed the
convulsion of the final hour is a
terrible thing
meaning the zel to the earth on the day
uh meaning when the be when the hour
begins
its final earthquake that is a great
earthquake that will be unprecedented.
Yes, there will be like early uh
convulsions or or or earth earthquakes
and we know that we have earthquakes uh
during this life but only limited uh and
and not not so strong and we can you can
feel people who had earthquakes and they
were they saw the earthquake they they
thought that the hour has come when it
actually was nothing compared to the
real final
uh convulsion or earthquake um when the
hour comes and the earth discharges its
burden. Now, namely that the earth will
uh uh cast the forth unto its service uh
the dead inside and the treasures inside
it because they will be all brought uh
on its surface and man says what is
wrong with it? You know it will be taken
by astonishment and um and and um
they will say the the burden what what
has what has been t shaken and and
bringing forth its burdens. The the
question will be asked uh in a state of
uh con consternation and astonishment.
And they will be surprised what is
happening what happens with the earth
that day will it will report its news.
And it is it was narrated that Abu said
the messenger of Allaham recited uh the
words that day it will report its news.
He said do you know what its news is? He
asked the
do you know what its news is and they
said Allah and his messenger know best
Allah.
He said its news is that it will testify
against every man and women with regard
to what they did on its surface. It will
say he did such and such on such and
such day a day. This is its news.
This is the news of the earth where
Allah says
that day it will report its news. So not
only is bringing the dead and the
treasures but also will uh tell uh what
every every uh uh slave every u person
uh what he did uh what she did uh in in
in this life because your lord has
commanded it. Of course Allah under the
command of allahel and his his own
permission the uh the earth will will
speak and will give of course uh its
news and and tell tell uh the lord what
will you know what this person did on
that such and such day uh and did this
and that and so on. That day the people
will depart separately into categories.
people will be divided into uh uh two
categories. Um that is people who will
be going to the right, who will go to
paradise and people who will go to the
left, who will go to uh hellfire, may
Allah forbid. Uh this is like the verse
in which allahel says
that day they will be divided. So people
will not be all going together. they
will be going to the right and to the
left. What is meant is that um to be of
course shown the result of their deeds.
Of course that is the reququidd uh for
their deeds uh and the result is is is
according to what they did in this life.
What is meant is that they will go back
from the place of standing before Allah
in different groups to settle their
abodess either to paradise or to her
fire.
So, whoever does an atom's weight of
good will see it. Whoever does an atom's
weight u whoever does a good deed no
matter how small or insignificant it
was, it will be uh shown to him and it
will be rewarded uh thereof in the
record of his deeds. It will be it will
be recorded and shown to the person as
evidence. And the word
meaning it's the um translated as an
atom but it also it refers to the
smallest type of ant. That's what people
knew at that time. And whoever does an
atom's weight of evil will see it. That
is whoever uh does the atom's weight of
evil no matter how insignificant how
small it was the he will see the
reququittal thereof in the record uh of
his deeds. This is like a verse in which
Allahel says.
Of course that day every soul will find
what it has done uh of good uh uh
present
uh before it present before it and what
it has done of evil. It will uh it will
wish that between itself and that evil
was a great distance. They they need to
not to see it. They need to see the good
but they don't want to see the bad.
However, it will be shown to them. So
they'll be happy to see the good deeds
and they will be unhappy to see the bad
deeds. And u uh uh this is uh uh being
of course supported again and and shown
in in the hadith byb
who said no believer or disbeliever does
any act of good or evil in this word but
Allah will show it will show it to him
on the day of resurrection.
So no matter who you are, a believer, a
disbeliever, you did bad or good, you
will see it. You will see it because it
was recorded and you'll be shown to it
in a in your own record, in your own
book on the day of judgment. That's why
a person should be ready to uh to do
good and to be pleased at the day of
judgment when he sees uh his good deeds
and to minimize the amount of things
that he did bad in order not to be
unhappy on that day and to be among the
winners of paradise by the permission of
Allah. This brings us to the u uh end of
today's lesson. We will continue uh this
surah inshallah starting with what we
learn from this surah and of course the
activities that will come afterwards in
the coming episode. Until then I leave
you with Allah's care and protection.
