with the diseases of the heart. And
continuing the subject of the sinful
desires. One of the things that is
related to that is one of the diseases
of the heart. They call it alshk. And
alshk is the sinful passioned love. If
it's correct to say even though the word
love is not the right word to be used
but that's what people might use then
they would understand it that way but
the true love the the good one the the
one that Allahhana tala permitted is
what Allahhana made it halal if it's
sinful it's not truly love it's
something sinful and this is where the
you the word that they use which is
something that is corrupting to the
heart you know Allah subhana wa ta'ala
permitted for example marriage and it's
part of the of Islam and it's
recommended and to some people it's an
obligation.
So if a man is commanded to love his
wife and this is something that Allahh
brings in his heart Allahh this is from
the signs of Allah that he would make
between the spouses
to have between them this love and
loving attitude towards one another and
mercy. So this is one of the signs of
Allah. If it's done outside the fold of
marriage, they would convince you those
who wants to spread the sins in the
movies and the like of this that this is
love and things like this. This is not
love. This is something else. This is
sin. This is a sin that people they want
to make you approve of it. And that's
why in the Arabic language in the dealt
with this disease. It's a disease in the
heart. Person is sick when he has these
types of things. And it's called
alashshk this one of the things that
corrupts the heart and make him away
from Allah subhana wa ta'ala and can
ruin the person as a result of that and
make him fall into all kinds of sins and
turn away from the love of Allah subhana
tala. So this is usually as a punishment
from Allah. A person becomes extreme in
that attitude or that feeling that makes
him turn away from many things that he
ought to turn to when it comes to
matters of love and attachment of the
heart.
So and when someone is in that state
it's a sign of a deficiency in one's
intellect and knowledge and manners and
religion and turning away from the
benefits of the dean. You see what's
happening to the um and that person is
busy with these types of sinful acts
then of course falling into the haram.
uh those who are afflicted by this
disease, they would call it that this is
something elevate themselves, make their
souls purified. They would write poetry
about it and things like this. And this
is something that is all lies and it's
sufficient for a person to see the
reality of how people they act and how
their life is when they're upon these
types of sinful relationships. It
doesn't bring anything but harm whether
it's to themselves or to others. That's
why there's so many harm that comes as a
result of that makes the person
sometimes fall into matters of
disbelief. You know some of them they
would say words that they would express
the love to those who they love only
words to be used in one's relationship
and one's worship of Allah subhana wa
ta'ala they would say that he worship
the one that he loved for example even
if he doesn't mean the worship but we
are commanded to watch what we say and
the love in the heart should be the love
of Allah subhana tala and the love that
Allahhana tala love so and this is
something that they mentioned in some of
their books and some of that these evil
ones they would use these words in their
poetry and the like of this also you
know when someone is in that state he
would constantly be in that remembrance
of the ml and the creation of Allah and
not the of Allah subhana tala talking
and thinking and expressing and as if
this entire life is about whatever
feeling that he has of this false love
that he would have towards someone else
also one of these things is to make the
person diverted away from what is
benefiting for his own self whether it's
matters of religion or worldly matters
you know and this is when for example
someone get addicted to pictures and
images and and these types of things on
you know whether a person is able to
attain or not waste one's time a person
becomes his so much occupied with it
that his affairs will be in such a loss
whether it's worldly matters or
religious matters
heart is distracted, not focused
anymore, not seeking the pleasure of
Allah subhana wa ta'ala, not seeking his
own even benefits in this worldly matter
as a result of the heart being attached
to these types of things. And uh these
types of individuals all kinds of
miseries and diseases of the worldly
matter and hereafter becomes attack them
faster than anyone else. Why? Because
the more the heart is in such a state
right the more that he's away from Allah
subhana tala and once a person is like
that shaitan takes full control of that
over that person and would make him and
lead them astray and make him away from
what Allahh created him for right and
this is uh one of the outcome of
allowing oneself to follow and to listen
and to obey the way of those who are
sinful.
you know almost I don't want to say
something that is not accurate but how
many of the households of the Muslims
nowadays they have television and they
allow themselves to watch movies and to
watch soap operas and things of that
nature and what is the main subject in
all of these different uh things it's
all about this subject to divert people
from what Allah subhana t created them
from and for so that they would indulge
into these attachments of the heart in a
false and a sinful way and therefore
people would imitate the same way. You
would find people going to school, youth
are going to school, this is their
concern and those who are in charge of
these places they allow them to mix them
together and are working and then it
becomes uh the norm of the people. This
is the normal thing for a person to act
and it becomes a strange thing for a
person to seek marriage other than the
the way that they do in which they have
to first they try things themselves and
they initiate the relationships
themselves and they get their hearts
attached first and then you would find
the the girl would go to her parents and
say I want to marry so and so and she
would fight for such a thing and they
would consider that a noble thing and
all of these things are sinful acts in
which a person should protect himself
and lower his gaze and stay away from
these evil things that corrupts the
heart. All of that is a result of not
following the commands of Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala. We ask Allahh to
protect us from all evil and we continue
inshalla with the same subject and some
of the reasons why a person would fall
into these types of diseases in the
heart.
