The prophet sallallah.aii Alaihi Wasallam had some good times where he would laugh and smile [clears throat] and had some bad times where he would weep and shed tears. And this is only to show the whole world that he was a human being that he had a soft heart. And the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam's weeping was not only due to pain and sadness. It was for many other reasons. Sometimes he wept because of his mercy over a deceased. He wept fearing for his um and their fate. Sometimes he wept out of the fear of Allahawel or when he heard the recitation of the Quran and this showed that he was longing for the Quran and he loved it. So there were many reasons for the prophets to weep sallallahu alaihi wasallam. In one incident, the prophetat wasam wept when his son Ibraim died. And we mentioned his story so many times. And the prophet would say the eye weeps and the heart grieavves. And we do not say anything that displeases Allah. But by Allah, by departing you Ibraim, we are grieved and saddened. And the prophetat wasam displays in this how he is the perfect human being when he grieavves yet he's content and patient and tolerant to Allah's decree. Sometimes the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam would weep while praying. Mutif reported that his father said, "May Allah be pleased with him. I came to the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam while he was praying and I could hear a sound like that of boiling water coming from his chest." Meaning that he was weeping. This is attributed to his perfect humility and fear of Allahawel that you get these profound emotions that would cause you to weep when you read the Quran, longing to paradise, fearing hellfire, feeling pity over those who were destroyed by Allah among the previous disbelieving nations. And this shows us that the Quran is the best cure for our hard hearts when we contemplate upon it and reflect on it. And it also indicates unlike some schools of thought say that whatever sound or noise that comes out of you in prayer as long as it's not communicating or talking even if it's a letter or two letters or three letters all of this does not impact the validity of your prayer as she als said and other scholars of Islam Islam. The prophet did it sallallahu alaihi wasallam and he had this boiling water sound coming out of his chest and that was not impacting the validity of the prayer. The prophet sallall alaihi wasallam would also sometimes weep when he heard the Quran as in the hadith of Abdullah mas when the prophet sallallam came to him and he said to him recite the Quran and Abdah said oh prophet of Allah how is this possible recite the Quran and upon you it was revealed to you it was revealed he said I like to hear it from someone else So Iban Mas says, "I started to recite surah from the beginning until I came to the verse. So how will it be when we bring from every nation a witness and we bring you, oh Muhammad, against these people as a witness?" And here the prophet said to me, "Husb, that's enough." And I looked at the prophet sallallaihi wasallam and his eyes were filled with tears and tears were falling down from his eyes. The prophet sallall alaihi wasallam wept when he heard these verses because he felt pity for all the nations and specifically his own nation his own followers. He f he felt merciful towards them because he's going to come and testify against them that they've received the message and what they did not accept and what their fate would be. And the prophet sallall alaihi wasallam sometimes stood at a grave in a cemetery and he would weep because he knows what will happen after a person is buried. In the may Allah be pleased with him and with his father. We once uh uh buried someone and the prophet stood at the edge of the grave and he wept until his tears wet the soil and he said, "Oh my brothers, to the likes of this, prepare, meaning prepare yourselves to such a fate and such an ending where every one of us would be buried. The prophet also wept out of compassion and fear for his um and Abdahn reported that the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam once recited the verses in the Quran said by Ibraim and said by Isa peace be upon him. My Lord indeed they have led astray many among the people. So whoever follows me then he is of me and whoever disobys me indeed you are yet forgiving and merciful. This is what Ibrahim said peace be upon him as mentioned in the Quran in chapter 14:36. And in another verse where Isa peace be upon him says, "If you should punish them, indeed they are your servants. But if you forgive them, indeed it is you who is the exalted in might, the wise." And the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam would raise his hands and says, "Oh Allah, my my begging Allahawel for mercy for his followers and he would weep sallallahu alaihi wasallam." Allah says to Gibl, the archangel, "Oh Gibl, go to Muhammad and ask him and your Lord knows best. Ask him not that Allah doesn't know just ask him rhetorically what made you weep. So Gabriel went to the prophetam and said to him what Allah asked him to ask though Allah knows best and the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam said to him that I fear for my ummah. So allahel says to jirel go to Muhammad and say to him we will make you pleased concerning your ummah and not displeased. So don't worry about them which is one of the best glad tidings one could get that allahel will forgive his um subhanahala and this shows us how the prophet was so concerned with the well-being of his um to the extent that he would weep because of that. Now part of the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam being one of the perfect human beings is that he once visited his mother's grave and we all know that the prophet sallallaihi wasallam's mother died when he was like 6 years of age. So it was reported that the prophet once visited his mother's grave and [snorts] wept there and made everyone around him weep. They felt soft when they saw their own prophetatam crying and they asked him why are you crying oh prophet of Allah and the prophet said I asked allahawel to seek forgiveness from my mother and I was not given that permission and I sought his permission to visit her grave. So Allah allowed me to visit her grave. Therefore, visit the graves because it will remind you of death. And that visit [clears throat] was when the prophet went for in. And why is the prophet weeping? because he felt sorry for his mom and for all the goodness that she did not witness and she could not accept Islam and be among the people of paradise. And the prophetat wasam indicated that even if your parents or your loved ones were not Muslims, this does not mean you shun them off or you have no feelings of mercy like so many reverts do. And I have met so many of them who revert to Islam. They start to practice. They follow the hadith and the Quran. Yet they have this huge resentment and hatred to their non-Muslim parents and they deal with them with enmity and holding a huge deal of grudge and hatred towards them. This is not right. This goes against the way of the prophet who was filled with mercy and kindness to the whole world and specifically to his mother. As we've seen from this hadith, Academy.
