Alhamdulillah.
The prophetat wasam
mixed with people
different types different levels.
So he was not limiting himself only to
his companions. He used to listen
to the widow, to the orphan,
to those who were with special needs. He
would mix with all segments of the
society.
May Allah be pleased pleased with him.
Says that the prophet sallallahu alaihi
wasallam once had a lot of women from
Quraysh
the tribe of the prophetam who were
asking him question after question
and raising his their voices over his
voice at times. And you do this not out
of disrespect
rather because you think well of the
person you're talking to. So they love
the prophetam and they had so many
questions and at times they may raise
their voices
to voice their opinion or disagreement
or questions asking why would this
happen. So Kathab sought permission to
enter
and the moment they heard his voice they
immediately hastened to screen
themselves.
The prophet sallallah wasallam gave
permission and Omar came in and when he
came in he found the prophet sallallahu
alaihi wasallam smiling. So Omar looked
at the prophet and said, "Oh prophet of
Allah,
may Allah always make you happy.
May my father and my mother be
sacrificed for you." So Omar is happy
that the prophet was smiling.
So the prophet explained and he said,
"I'm amazed at these women who were with
me and when they heard your voice, they
ran and hid
immediately. Omar understood that they
were a bit disrespectful in a sense
because in our view what they had done
was disrespectful though the prophetam
saw no disrespect in it as a father of
them. So Omar said you are more
deserving
that they should be in awe of you oh
prophet of Allah sallallahu alaihi
wasallam. Then he addressed the women,
"Oh enemies of yourselves, do you feel
more in awe of me than the prophet
wasallam? What's wrong with you?" And
they replied, "You are harsh and rough
than more rough than the prophet
sallallahu alaihi wasallam. The prophet
is not ne he's neither harsh nor rough."
And the prophet sallall alaihi wasallam
smiled saying
oh son of al he's addressing Omar now by
the one in whose hand is my soul the the
devil never meets you coming on one path
but he takes a different path and this
is praising Omar may Allah be pleased of
him or with him as being someone who
even the shan on
fears let alone normal women. So the
prophet sallallaihi wasallam mixed with
different segments of the people
in one hadith
subhan Allah how Allahawel
changes people's personalities
and discomfort and depression
into
joy and
peace.
The prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam
was once as Ib Abbas may Allah be
pleased with him and with his father
says
he was approached by a man who divorced
his wife by the
what is thear
is not a divorce but it's actually a
prohibition
when a man uses is a terminology that
was used before Islam.
So this is a pre-Islamic terminology
where men
wanted to harm their wives.
They did not divorce them and they do
not live with them like normal wives. So
what do they say in extreme anger? You
prohibit they prohibit their wives upon
themselves by saying you are to me as my
mother's back
which means I can't of course touch my
mom's back in the sense of intercourse
or intimacy. So he made his wife
as haram as prohibited as his wife as
his daughter as the likes. So the man
said this to his wife and then before
giving the experation
he had intercourse with her. So he came
to the prophetat and we know that the
experation is when you say such a thing
before you touch your wife or be
intimate with her you have to free a
slave. If you're unable then you have to
fast two ex uh consecutive months and if
you're unable then you have to feed 60
poor Muslims.
So the prophet asked why
why were you intimate with her before
giving the experation
and the man said oh prophet of Allah I
saw her shin in the light of the moon. I
saw her leg in the the whiteness of her
leg in the uh uh uh light of the moon
and I could not control myself. So I was
intimate with her. The prophet wasallam
this situation is so intense. The man
has committed a huge sin. But when he
explained himself like that, the prophet
could not hold himself from uh uh
smiling. So he laughed and he ordered
him not to come to her until he gives
the experation.
And this is of course mentioned in Mujah
in the Quran with the steps that should
be followed and how severe
saying such a phrase and how
grave the sin is. to the extent that
Allah has uh placed such an experation
to prevent the Muslims from saying such
a phrase and imitating and following the
pre-Islamic norms.
