Kind: captions Language: en for [Music] Foreign speech. Foreign foreign foreign speech. [Music] Alhamdulillah. My dear students, welcome to the fifth session in the fourth level of the prophetic noble hadith. Today inshallah we'll study together hadith number four which is narrated by the companion who is known as May Allah be pleased with him. So Abu ali said that the messenger of Allah may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him said indeed Allah has enjoined obl obligatory duties so do not neglect them and has prohibited some things so do not come near them. And he has set some limits. So do not transgress them. And then he remain silent about some things out of mercy towards you, not out of forgetfulness. So do not inquire about them. This hadith is collected by and it is classed as a Hassan hadith. I'd like to quote the hadith one more time for your reference because this is a very important hadith. The messenger of Allah may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him said indeed Allah has enjoined some acts as obligatory so do not neglect them has prohibited some things so do not go near them and do and he have some limits which he said so do not transgress them and he also remained silent kept quiet did not address certain things Do not inquire about them. Allah did not keep quiet about them. Not out of forgetfulness but rather out of mercy. So accept it. Do not keep inquiring about them. I'd like to explain the hadith but obviously after we get acquainted with the narrator because we have not addressed him before is described as from a tribe from and uh there was a difference among the scholars with regards to his name and the name of his father. But what matters is that Abu accepted Islam and he was among the 1400 companions who gave the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam the pledge of allegiance beneath the tree during the treaty of al. So he is entitled for uh the promise of that Allah is pleased with him. Allah mentioned that he is pleased with those 1400 companions. They're all promised heaven. Mashallah. May Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala take us all to Jenna. Abu Salah invited his people to Islam and they all accepted Islam and they became among the most righteous Muslims uh ever. He was one of the uh most devout worshippers among the Sahabah as well. He migrated to asham and he died there on the year after the migration of the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam. So we're talking about 65 years after the death of the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam. He lived and he taught those who are around him. May Allah be pleased with Abu alush and all the companions of the messenger of Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam. When we say that Allah has ordained enjoined enjoining here is not just mere advice. No, because he said and means obligatory. Obligatory means what? We should do it. Obligatory duties such as offering the five daily prayers, fasting during Ramadan when Allah subhana wa ta'ala says in the passage have been ordained upon you. So it is ordained. It is not optional. Okay? We must observe Hajj. We must pay zaka if we uh are required to pay if you have the means you must pray five times a day you must you must and also Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala set some limits and he ordered us not to transgress and if we were to transgress them the person will be blamew worthy sometimes a blame will also incur the punishment in this life in addition to the anger of the almighty Allah in the hereafter after as well. Which means brothers and sisters that when Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala commands us to do something, we should do our level best to do it. Keeping in mind Allah said so he would not order us to do anything that an average person cannot do. We all understood understand as we discussed in the previous hadith that if somebody is not able to do this act of worship as it was prescribed he will be be given the concession uh maybe to do it differently such as sitting instead of standing in the prayer but no one is exempt from offering the prayers except women during their menes. uh fasting is obligatory but if somebody cannot fast at all then we shift to the fya feeding one mskin per each day somebody is struggling or feeling sick today you skip fasting and you make it up after Ramadan okay Allah the Almighty has forbidden certain things he didn't say do not do it rather he said do not go near them and this is similar to what Allah said in for innocence. Don't you go near adultery. He didn't say do not commit adultery. Don't you go near adultery. Means do not unnecessarily mingle with women who are not your maharam. Do not go out with them. Do not chat with them online. Exchange pictures. Have fun because she's your colleague, your classmate, your student, your nurse, your teacher. No. Deal with utmost respect. And if there is a fitna, cut it short. So stay away from them in Allah said [Music] he said avoid it. Do not go near it. Do not approach it lest you may fall in or indulge into the act itself or the sin. Also Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala have set limits. He called it limits and boundaries similar to when you have a garden and your neighbor has a garden. So everyone knows the limits. You're not allowed to transgress and wander in your neighbor's property or premises without their permission. Transgression is not permissible. Take for instance how the almighty Allah stated after he elusted the al refers to the inheritance law beginning from ayah number seven then of chapter number four then you find that the almighty Allah says indeed what was mentioned earlier are the the limits of Allah. So as a person who is in charge of distributing the inheritance, you must understand if you're tr against the limits, whoever disobys Allah and his messengeres the limits, deprivives this person from his share or gives this person an extra share and it is not permissible. Allah the Almighty will admit him into hell fire to be tormented there with humiliation to that extent. Yes. While And whoever obeys Allah and his messenger and observes the limits and does not transgress the limits, Allah will admit him into gardens of paradise beneath which rivers are flowing and that is indeed the ultimate success. He also said there are certain things which Allah did not address. So now we spoke about what is obligatory, what is forbidden and we should stay away from it and the limits of Allah and we give an example and the fourth category is something that um we know we experience on regular basis but what does Allah say about that he didn't say anything why did he forget no did he neglect of course not so why in order to give you ease so do not keep ditching Do not keep fetching. Do not keep inquiring and asking questions lest Allah will make it haram for you as a result of too much inquiries and questions. Similar to what Benu is did with their prophets. And you all know the story of surah al Bakar. We learn from this hadith my dear students that the power of command to make lawful or unlawful to enjoin or to forbid is only to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala. He is. It is not for a believing man or woman. Whenever Allah decrees or enjoins something that they have another say. It is what Allah says and it is what his messenger sallallahu alaihi wasallam says. Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala set limits meaning that he has made what is obligatory clear. It must be followed. It must be conducted. It must be fulfilled properly. Has set limits with regards to what is prohibited. It should not approach it. You should not go close to it or near it. Okay? and has set limits with regards to commandment dos and do not do. Step back. Do not come close to the boundaries of Allah subhana wa tala. Lest you transgress and you cross them then you will be eligible for the punishment. May Allah subhanana wa tala protect us against that. It is not permissible to overstep the bounds when administering punishments. So if someone committed adultery and whose uh virgin never been in in marriage before the punishment is uh 100 ashes as stated in surah an chapter number uh 24. So we do not transgress the the limits also concerning which Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala remain silent with regards to the commandment or with regards to the prohibition you to be quiet. I'll give you an example how Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala gives us ease and doesn't talk about certain things and how some people insist on making things difficult and complicated. Subhan Allah. The messenger of Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam during the farewell Hajj he said oh people indeed Allah has ordained Hajj upon you so you should perform Hajj. One of the companions, tens of thousands standing and listening. Oh prophet of Allah, he proclaimed, do we have to perform Hajj every year? The prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam ignored him. He turned around and he resumed. He came from the opposite direction and he faced him and he asked him the same question three times. So finally the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam was kind of angry and he said, "Leave me alone so long as I have left you alone." For those for those who came before you, they were destroyed because of their asking too many questions and differing with their prophets. If I instruct you to do something then do as much as you can of it and if I forbid you against something then refrain from it completely. And this is a sound hadith. So it was who was asking this question. If the prophet sallall alaihi wasallam had said yes it is mandatory every year it would have been very problematic we couldn't do it the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam said do okay we'll do it once he didn't ask for more than that is orange juice haram is apple juice haram why are you asking this question just in case imagine too many questions too many insistence on asking and inquiring about things Allah did not forget them. Allah did not neglect them. He led them without talking. That means it is permissible. So this hadith is very important brothers and sisters with regards to knowing what is halal and what is haram and what should we do in dealing with what is obligatory and the boundaries of Allah. Subhanahu wa ta'ala. Until next time. [Music] Academy. [Music] Fore! Foreign! Foreign! [Music]
