Islamic education level four and the
diseases of the heart and the means to
cure it. One of these diseases that are
fatal to the heart is arrogance. Alibs
this sin that caused elan
to be kicked out of the mercy of
Allahhana forever when he refused to
make sujud to prostrate to Adam when
Allahh commanded him and what made him
refuses the is the arrogance in his
heart. So this is one of the very
dangerous one and one close disease of
the heart to the is called
is when someone likes his own self. He
likes himself. He thinks that he's all
that. So therefore it leads the person
astray. We're not created to have these
type of evil diseases in the heart. It
ruins the human beings. The human beings
are creation of Allah. If they don't
witness the weakness that Allah created
in them to humble themselves to Allah
subhana wa ta'ala then they become
corrupted and that's why al kibra comes
from something great when someone make
himself great exalt himself and the
prophetat was defined it by saying
is to reject the truth and to belittle
people to look down upon people, two
evil things to reject the truth. When
the truth is presented, even if it's
against what you have been preaching all
of your life and you realize that this
is the truth and because you're a seeker
of the truth, then it's obligatory upon
you to accept that and this is what
makes a person elevated in the levels of
goodness. Otherwise a person would have
the disease of alib which deprivives the
person from entering the Jenna of
Allahhana because of the arrogance
rejecting the truth
and
is to look down upon people to look down
upon people and Allahh created all human
beings they're all from Adam and Adam
from dust so why belittle people why a
person would think that he's better than
others and things of that nature so this
is how the kibra is the word
which is liking oneself. You know, it's
something that can happen to a person
even if he's living alone. Even if he's
in the desert alone, he still can have
how is that that a person would think
that he's all that he has so much. No
one has the like of what he has.
And this is something that is
destructive to the heart. Someone was
praying. So he he think that he's better
than all other people because he's been
doing this act of worship and not
attributed to the ti and to the help
from Allah subhana wa tala. So uh when
we look into uh this subject of or the
arrogance you know there are reason or
ways that people would fall into this
one of which is that a person doesn't
want to um be subjected or under the
control of anyone you know and someone
having k inside of him he wants to be
the first and no one is to surpass him
whatsoever you know and this is
transgression
you know and makes the person relegate
away from the obed obedience of Allah.
When a person transgress that he sees
himself, he feels like he's in no need
of anyone.
He doesn't want anyone to tell him what
is right and what is wrong because he
sees himself that he has all kinds of
means to be independent. He has mind to
think. He has things
would find these types of words from the
disbelievers. They think that they don't
need Allah subhana tala. Then who
brought you to this life? who give you
the ability to breathe. This is the
ignorance of the human beings. Also this
u this extreme
zeal in oneself to excel. You know that
everybody should make him the first and
they should acknowledge how great he is.
Right? And this is based on arrogance.
not based on work that a person do but
just rather based on maybe his status or
his image among people and things like
this. So this is something evil that
leads the people astray. Also when
people as a result of ignorance the
criteria of knowing who's right and
who's wrong and who's wrong becomes
distorted. People are not able to see
that anymore. when they're away from the
the revelation from Allah subhana wa
ta'ala then who's best than others who's
better you know Allahhana when he said
the best among you to Allah subhana wa
t'ala are those of tawa those who are
obedient to Allah subhana wa t'ala and
at the time of the prophetat when he
said there's no difference between Arab
and non-Arab except by the tawa of Allah
and a slave from he become one of those
who are close to the prophet
and the one that gives
say everyone is on the same level. Why?
They're all slaves of Allah subhana wa
tala. And once these criteria of uh that
people differentiate between one another
based on falsehood, based on ways of of
ignorance, then the arrogance comes in
place. People are away from being
humbled
because of the color of their skin,
because of their nationalities, because
of wealth. all kinds of distorted things
and people imitate others in these
matters in these regards and shaitan has
his ways. So this is one of the means of
arrogance.
So for example of people you find them
respecting the rich regardless whether
this rich is a righteous person or the
most wicked person just the fact that
he's rich they respect him so much
where is that in the in the revelation
from Allah subhana tala and they would
you know look down upon a person of tawa
person that fears Allah subhana t is
obedient to Allah because he's poor for
example so the criteria of who's best
and who's better and so on is based on
the desires of the people. So as a
result of that people would fall into
these types of arrogance. You know may
Allah subhanaa tala protect us. Another
thing is when the person would have the
favors of Allah subhana wa ta'ala but
then he sees that he or he forgets that
the one that bestowed his favor upon him
is Allah subhana wa tala. He just sees
himself that he has better than others
and he forgets or overlooks that the one
that gave him this is Allahhana tala as
a test from Allah subhana tala to test
him whether he will humble himself or
not whether he will be grateful to Allah
subhana ta or not. So when we when we
talked about that before when you have a
favor of Allah person should attribute
it to Allah and give the rights of it
when it comes to the zaka for example
and to make him more humble and more
kind to people. This is a foolish thing
when someone is Allahh bestow upon him a
great favor and instead of being
grateful to Allah he becomes arrogant
and he think that he's superior over
people like did and he would say
I'm in that status because of my
knowledge because of my personality
because of this and that and it's all
falsehood and a person should humble
himself to Allah subhana t all of that
are means that can take the person
divert the person away from the truth
and we have in the prophetat the best
example we continue inshallah with the
subject of next
