The prophetat wasam was the best of
teachers.
And teachers
give incentives,
motivate their students.
They inject positivity in them. Whatever
it takes to make them act, develop and
progress, they use. And the prophet
sallall alaihi wasallam
always read to us verses from the Quran.
And the Quran is filled with
motivations.
Oh you who believe, shall I not direct
you on a trade that would save you from
hellfire?
You should believe in allahel and his
messenger and and perform jihad in the
cause of Allah with your wealth and with
yourselves. That is better for you if
you were to know what will happen. Allah
will forgive your sins and will admit
you to gardens of paradise.
Motivation. The prophet sallall alaihi
wasallam
followed the same pattern in motivating
his companions his um with what awaits
them in the hereafter. And this is why
one of the six pillars of iman is to
believe in the day of judgment in the
hereafter.
The prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam
was approached by a nomad and he said
teach me something if I do it I will
enter Jenna. Nomads don't have education
but they have a clear head. So the
prophet said to him sallallahu alaihi
wasallam you worship Allah don't
associate any others with him and you
observe the five daily prayers and you
give the zakat and you fast Ramadan. So
the prophet sallallaihi wasallam
motivated
this nomad
by directing him to abide by the pillars
of Islam.
He motivated others by saying say
and you will succeed.
So paradise
is the biggest incentive any one of us
could be motivated by.
And allahel says,
I have prepared for my servants what no
eyes had seen, what no ear had heard of,
and it had not crossed the heart of any
human being.
In the battle of Badr,
everybody was getting ready to fight the
enemies of Islam who were three times
larger than them.
And the prophet said to his companions,
"Marsh on to a jenna, to a paradise that
the width of it
is equivalent to the heavens and the
earth."
So
said, "Wow,
a paradise like that."
And the prophet said sallallahu alaihi
wasallam why do you say this? Said well
I'm just wishing to be one of those
admitted to it or prophet of Allah. Look
at this beautiful motivation. The
prophet saidam you are one of those who
will be admitted to it and that's a
guarantee.
Had few dates in his hand to eat so that
it would strengthen him to fight. When
he heard this from the prophet wasallam,
he threw it away and he said, "By Allah,
if I were to live until I finish these
dates, that's a long, long life." He
threw it away and he fought in the cause
of Allah until he was martyed.
Abu Dafi,
may Allah be pleased with him. When he
came to meet the prophet sallallahu
alaihi wasallam for the first time in
Mecca, the prophet said to him, "Give me
the pledge of allegiance and you shall
have Jenna."
Motivation by reminding him of Jenna.
Obey. May Allah be pleased when he said
that the prophet said sallallahu alaihi
wasallam who shall offer funeral prayer
who shall follow
a corpse or a funeral prayer a funeral
rights until it is placed and buried.
Then he should have two carrots.
Okay? And whoever should pray
only without following it until it's
buried, he should have one carrot.
And one carrot is heavier than the
amount
in your scale on the day of judgment
just to pray and to follow it until it's
buried.
Incentives reminding people of the
hereafter. The prophet used to say, "I
and those who
sponsor an orphan are like this in
Jenna." And he combined and joined
between the index finger and the middle
finger.
Also, the prophet sallallahu alaihi
wasallam
used to direct people to the best of
deeds. A nomad once came to the prophet
and they always come and ask questions
about Islam. Annis, may Allah be pleased
with him says, "We the companions were
hesitant in asking the prophet
sallallaihi wasallam. But whenever
someone stranger came to ask, we were
very happy because we could learn new
things." So the man came and said, "Oh
prophet of Allah, teach me something
good." So the prophet said to him, "Say,
subhan Allah, alhamdulillah."
And by the way, a side note, these four
words are the most beloved to Allahawel
after the Quran. Nothing is more beloved
to Allah after the Quran than these four
words. So the nomad did four on his hand
and walked away.
Then he stopped
and the prophet smiled
and he said the poor thing is
contemplating is thinking and he came
back to the prophet and said oh prophet
of Allah subhan allah alhamdulillah
this is for allahel so what's for me
so the man is thinking materialistically
he wants something that he would gain in
this world. So the prophet said to him,
"Oh nomad, when you say subhan Allah,"
Allah replies and says, "You've said the
truth." And if you say alhamdulillah,
Allah says, "You've said the truth." And
if you say,
Allah says, "You've said the truth." And
when you say Allahbar, Allah says,
"You've said the truth." If you say, "Oh
Allah, forgive me." Allah says, "I have
done that." Meaning, I have forgiven
you. And if you say, "Oh Allah, have
mercy on me." Allah would say, "I have
done that." And if you say, "Oh Allah,
provide for me. Give me risk and
sustenance," Allah says, "I have done
that."
So the prophet added these three and the
nomad clenched his seven fingers
counting them so that he would not
forget that
motivation positivity
may Allah be pleased with him says I
went to bed once and I was a young boy
so I used to sleep in the masid and once
I saw a vision Two angels took me and
they took me to hellfire and I saw it
and I saw in it people that I know and I
was terrified
and I said I seek refuge in Allah from
hellfire. Then a third angel came and
said to me don't be worried don't be
worried. He comforted me. So I woke up
and I said this dream or vision to my
sister Hafsa the mother of the believers
and the wife of the prophetam
whom in turn told it to the prophet
wasallam. So the prophet sallall alaihi
wasallam said
Omar Abdullah he is one of the best guys
if he were to pray night prayers look at
the motivation
he encouraged him he praised him
complimented him of being one of the
best if he were to offer night prayers
meaning more. So this is the
interpretation of the prophetam that the
third angel came to him to say that you
are not among the people of hell but
abdah you need to step it step it up a
little bit
also on the day of the battle of
we know what happened and how the
Muslims were almost defeated and 70 of
the companions were martyed.
Hamza the uncle of prophetam
a great number of companions. The
prophet was alone sallallahu alaihi
wasallam
with seven from the people of Medina and
may Allah be pleased with him.
So the prophet in the midst of the
attacks of the idol worshippers used to
give incentive
to those around him. And he said, "Who
will repel them against us? Who will
defend us? May Allah make him with me a
companion in Jenna."
One after the other, the seven
companions fought off bravely and were
martyed defending the prophetam until
there was only tala.
And the prophet looked and said,
"Wallah, we did not do justice to our
friends."
Then Talha stood up and fought bravely
as strong as the seven had fought
combined and he protected the prophet
defended him even with his own body
shielding him until he was struck and
one of his arms was paralyzed because of
the wounds. Abu Bakr may Allah be
pleased with him said that day the day
of is all for
meaning nobody has excelled in
performance and in the defense of the
prophetam more than
one of the 10 heavenbound to the extent
look at this incentive
prophet said whoever wants to Look at a
martyr walking on earth meaning still
alive. Let him look at
may Allah be pleased with him. This is
how we should be with those around us
instead of demotivating people instead
of looking down at them and trying to
make them feel negative. You'll never
succeed. You'll never do well. You
You're stupid. Look at you.
That's what many parents talk to the
children.
Their children would grow up to be like
that.
In comparison to someone was saying,
"Mashall Allah, look at my son. He's the
the most he's the bravest. He's the most
generous. He always gives his toys to
his younger siblings. He is so
courageous. He's so smart. Mashallah,
he's going to be an engineer or a
doctor. He's going to be an imam. He
memorizes the Quran. Listen to his
voice. Maybe he's going to be the im of
the haram. How is he going to grow up?
He is going to be a successful person.
