Kind: captions Language: en all right i'm uh traveling and at a restaurant and i want to show you how i actually look for healthy food on the menu so this is the place i'm at it is right on the water and what i want to do is find a healthy meal so let me show you the menu which is posted up here and let me point out a few things so that's actually yogurt garlic check check um cucumbers also a really good source of fiber a little olive oil check that's a healthy one fish egg salad estaro salatas that is actually a white fish usually cod and it's got omega-3s fatty acids so that's a good one eggplants are good i try to avoid the fried stuff you can see the fried stuff there although it might taste great not the best thing for you so i'm going to try to point out to you the things that i'm just automatically going to split peas fava uh legume uh good for your gut microbiome boiled greens these are all now these are local wild greens uh that's really good for you and black eyed peas so these are actually the things that just pop right out to me on the appetizers and the salad greek salad always great tomatoes red onion olives capers olive oil that's a winner let's see rocket arugula is actually good um i never know what's in the seafood salad so now all these fish down here if you eat seafood they're all great because they actually have omega-3 fatty acids i'll point out a few that actually stand out lobster czech sebring czech black green czech sea bass those are all really great look at the swordfish it tastes good but actually you might have mercury on it so i avoid that grilled calamaris also some omega-3s shrimp have some good omega-3s as well and octopus same thing all right that's how i go through the menu and um i didn't tell you what i chose but they all really sound good all right so easy to find good things on the menu in the mediterranean
