Hey there, Dr. Will Lee here and I am in
the produce section once again. A lot of
these delicious uh vegetables I love to
cook, but I actually want to share with
you something that you might not know
about. Here's a stock of broccoli. These
are the top the tree tops are called
fuettes. All right, this is the tree
top, but look at how much stem there is.
You know what's in a broccoli? It's
actually something called sulfurophanes.
Uh, and what these do is activate your
immune system. They help your antibodies
in your nose and your mouth resist
viruses from the outside. When you bring
them in, your immune system knocks them
right out. And this is actually what's
in a broccoli sulforophane. All right?
You think that there's uh sulforophane
in the top? You are right in the
fuettes. But guess what? There is twice
as much sulforophane in the stock. So,
when you go home and you buy this
broccoli, do not throw the stock away.
Go ahead and chop up the stock. You can
put it into a blender, make a soup out
of it. I love broccoli stem and oregano
