Willie here I am at an urban Farmers
Market on a Sunday in New York City and
I am here at the Dan Madura farmer stand
mushrooms look at all the different
mushrooms here some of my
favorites um cria T oyster these have
all been studied for their health
benefits King oyster and then here you
actually have some of the more
interesting Lion's man Mitaki
peini let's go take a look I'm actually
with dicki who was actually uh Manning
the stand and I want to show you some of
the beautiful mushrooms from upstate New
York
um and here is a myi mushroom can I pick
one up yes thank
you look at this beautiful myi mushroom
this actually is a great source of beta
dlue can which is good for your immune
system and look at how it's attached at
the bottom at the base you can slice
this up sauté with a little bit of olive
oil extra olive oil and garlic um here's
the peini mushrooms
beautiful really uh delicious these can
be sauteed up as well
beautiful and King trumpet mushrooms
also great source of faded glue can and
check this out Lion's man this is
actually a medicinal mushroom
at the bottom how it's picked it is kind
of light and
Airy and uh we're going to find out
going to watch load up the mushrooms in

these are some of the
portabello Dicky what type of mushrooms
are these it's a oyster regular oyster
mushroom regular oyster mushroom
mushroom they actually look like oysters
don't they they're beautiful yeah this
is the lell mushroom this one's called
what lell oyster mushroom another oyster
mushroom same oyster mushroom all right
so hang on a second I got to we're going

here hello all right dicki what is your
favorite mushroom uh I love the myi myi
how do you cook the Miaki I cooked I
just straight like a sometime I can
roast a whole myi in the open olive oil
garlic salt and pepper wow that sounds
really good how long do you roast it
almost 15 20 minutes okay and
temperature uh 450 okay 450 for 15 or 20
minutes a little olive oil a little bit
of garlic and a little bit of salt salt
and pepper oh okay all right we're
hearing it from the mushroom purveyor
I'm here with dicki all right so

these beautiful mushrooms with the
