Kind: captions Language: en here Dr will Lee here and I with my friend Chef AJ who taught a had a cooking Workshop yesterday at a plant-based conference and last night we texted each other and she told me about something very exciting that she's doing which is writing a book on healthy desserts vegan desserts no added sugar no gluten no gluten amazing and then to put rubber on the road she brought me some dessert so it's not this all fruit sweeten there's no sugar there's no artificial sweetener no maple syrup AJ what is what is it what's inside this is a three ingredient Goodman Peanut Chew it's literally made from unsalted roasted peanuts dates and 100% cacao that's it and it's delicious it tastes like a Snickers how long did it take for you to make it like what's the 5 minutes maybe 5 minutes minutes and there's no cooking right no cooking so you don't even have to bake this right all right so I'm actually going to do a taste test he's taking one for the team I'm taking one for the team because first of all I love dates great and peanuts are really great as well could make them with almonds if somebody what's the bottom here the bottom is just peanuts and dates peanuts and dates and then what's the and it's C the top is 100% chocolate 100% with sweeten with dates all right so this is great uh dietary fiber for gut health uh uh pantho cyanidins uh chalk cacao polyphenols and peanuts uh as well so I'm taking a bite wow you know what I think you could have put the Snickers bar out of business I hope so it is fantastic thank you Dr Lee it really tastes like a Snickers bar yep when I was a kid actually when I was in medical school I used to eat Snickers bars they're the best frozen especially Snickers ice cream oh my God right okay but we now know it's really good but we can do it we can still have health without deprivation this thing tastes exactly like a Snickers bar I kid you not all right so let's talk about the book right when's it coming out it's coming out in July of 2024 it's called sweet Indulgence all right and you have how many recipes in it it's over 150 it might be 154 156 this recipe and this recipe is included it's all right so I'm telling you right now uh when it's time to pre-order the book you should get it get one I'm definitely going to get one um and I'm going to make this uncooked Snickers bar healthy Snickers bar knockoff that isn't a bar it's really kind of like a brownie yeah yeah is what I would actually call it look at that thing absolutely amazing uh and all right so your book's coming out in July July 2024 all right I'm going to endorse the book because I was going to do it anyway yeah but now now you're really going to do it now you mean it sincerely now I've actually eaten what's in it so I'm going to definitely do it and where do people find out about you my name is Chef AJ and that's my website and every day I do a live show on YouTube at 11:00 a.m. Pacific time and you've been on I've been on yeah and it's always a fun conversation uh if you want to have a fun conversation about plant-based eating yeah it's not 3 minutes it's it's a long form show you know so if you have the attention span it's a really fun show so we had actually only seen each other virtually I know I know you look exactly the same now we're now we're buds all right so um is there the name of the book sweet Indulgence guil fre treat sweeten naturally with fruit healthy desserts it doesn't sound like it's possible it is she's making it possible pastry chef for 5 years in Los Angeles large celebrity clientele and none of the desserts they were all sweetened with dates or fruits like bananas you know fruit is sweet you don't need sugar ever I'm telling you this thing is this thing is sweet as heck y it t dates are amazing all right so Dr will Lee out thank you wow you're the best
