إن الحمد لله، نحمدُه ونستعينُه
ونستغفرُه وَنَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ
ونعوذُ باللهِ من شرورِ أنفسنا
و من سيئات أعمالنا
من يهدِه الله فلا مضلَّ له،
و من يضلِلْ فلا هادي له،
وأشهدُ أنْ لا إله إلا الله
وحده لا شريكَ له،
وأشهدُ أن محمداً عبده ورسوله
لا نبيئ بعده
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا
اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ تُقَاتِهِ
وَلَا تَمُوتُنَّ
إِلَّا وَأَنْتُمْ مُسْلِمُونَ
يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اتَّقُوا رَبَّكُمُ
الَّذِي خَلَقَكُمْ مِنْ نَفْسٍ وَاحِدَةٍ
وَخَلَقَ مِنْهَا زَوْجَهَا
وَبَثَّ مِنْهُمَا رِجَالًا كَثِيرًا
وَنِسَاءً
وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ الَّذِي
تَسَاءَلُونَ بِهِ وَالْأَرْحَامَ
إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ عَلَيْكُمْ رَقِيبًا
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا
اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَقُولُوا قَوْلًا سَدِيدًا
يُصْلِحْ لَكُمْ أَعْمَالَكُمْ
وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ذُنُوبَكُمْ
وَمَنْ يُطِعِ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ
فَقَدْ فَازَ فَوْزًا عَظِيمًا أما بعد
فإن أصدق الحديث كتابُ الله
وخيرَ الهدي هديُ محمد ﷺ
وشرَّ الأمورِ محدثاتُها
وكلَّ محدثة بدعةٌ، وكلَّ بدعة ضلالةٌ،
وكلَّ ضلالة في النار
معاشر المسلمين
أًوصيكم ونفسي بتقوى الله، فقد فاز المتقون
Verily, a word that is easily uttered
by men ...
... verbally, but has a big influence ...
... in destroying a family’s happiness ...
... separating a person
from some he has loved ...
... separating children
from their parents ...
... making children abandoned ...
... destroying their happiness and future.
The word is “divorce”.
“Divorce” is something that Satan loves.
From Jabir bin Abdillah RA.
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
إِنَّ إِبْلِيسَ يَضَعُ عَرْشَهُ
عَلَى الْمَاءِ
ثُمَّ يَبْعَثُ سَرَايَاهُ:
“Satan places his throne upon water.”
“He then sends detachments
for creating dissension.”
فَأَدْنَاهُمْ مِنْهُ مَنْزِلَةً
أَعْظَمُهُمْ فِتْنَةً
“The nearer to him in rank ...
... are those who are most notorious
in creating dissension.”
يَجِيءُ أَحَدُهُمْ
After they tempt humankind ...
... they reported their dissension
to Satan.
One of them comes.
And he says:
فَعَلْتُ كَذَا وَكَذَا
“I did so and so.”
He says:
مَا صَنَعْتَ شَيْئًا
“You have done nothing.”
The others reported
their activities and temptation.
Then one amongst them comes and says:
مَا تَرَكْتُهُ حَتَّى فَرَّقْتُ
بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ امْرَأَتِهِ
“I kept on tempting him.”
“I kept on tempting him.
I did not leave him.”
“Until I sowed the seed of discord
between a husband and a wife.”
Then فَيُدْنِيهِ مِنْهُ
The Satan goes near him.
He says:
نِعْمَ أَنْتَ
""You have done well."
This hadith is authentic
and was reported by Imam Muslim.
Why does Satan like a divorce?
With a divorce,
many bad things happen.
A family’s life is destroyed.
Things are difficult when a woman
becomes a widow.
Things are difficult for children
when they are not taken care of by both parents.
Away from their parents’ life.
معاشر المسلمين
Besides Satan, witches also like
when divorces happen.
Allah SWT mentioned this
in the Quran.
Allah SWT said:
فَيَتَعَلَّمُونَ مِنْهُمَا
مَا يُفَرِّقُونَ بِهِ
بَيْنَ الْمَرْءِ وَزَوْجِهِ
“They learn magic by which they cause
separation between a man and his wife.”
We have to be fully aware of this.
That a divorce is one of Satan’s
biggest programs.
A man shall not get emotional that he says
the word “talak” [divorce] to his wife.
Furthermore, Allah SWT revealed a surah
specifically about divorce.
It is called At Thalaq,
Divorce.
We will mention some verses ...
... mentioning the law about divorce.
Why do we need to remind each other
about divorce?
Because many people underestimate
this affair.
Many men who get upset with his wife
he divorces his wife.
How many men divorcing their wife
without understanding its law?
He divorces his wife
not at the right time.
Many men utter the word divorce
repeatedly ...
... that he cannot count
how many times he says it.
It shows that he does not see
divorce as a serious matter.
And many women also do not
see this as a serious matter.
due to a small problem, they easily ask their husband to divorce them.
The Apostle ﷺ reminded us about this.
That asking for a divorce
without legitimate reasons is a big sin.
In the hadith from Abu Daud,
the Apostle ﷺ said:
أَيُّمَا امْرَأَةٍ
سَأَلَتْ زَوْجَهَا طَلاَقًا
فِى غَيْرِ مَا بَأْسٍ
فَحَرَامٌ عَلَيْهَا رَائِحَةُ الْجَنَّةِ
“Shall any woman ask her husband
for divorce without some legitimate reasons ...
... the scent of Paradise will be
forbidden to her.”
It is not only the Paradise
that is forbidden to her.
Even its scent is forbidden to her.
While the scent of the Paradise
can be smelled from years ahead.
My fellow Muslims,
may Allah SWT bless you.
We may find woman who asks
to be divorced for a simple reason.
She even defies her husband.
“If you are male enough,
if you are a real husband, divorce me.”
And her husband gets provoked
and divorces his wife.
It shows that ...
... no attention is given
to the law of divorce.
Both men and women.
Allah SWT said in the beginning
of At Thalaq.
يٰۤاَيُّهَا النَّبِىُّ
اِذَا طَلَّقۡتُمُ النِّسَآءَ
فَطَلِّقُوۡهُنَّ لِعِدَّتِهِنَّ
وَاَحۡصُوا الۡعِدَّةَ ‌ ۚ
وَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ رَبَّكُم
“O Prophet.”
This is intended for the Prophet.
But it is also intended
for Muslims in general.
“When you [Muslims]
divorce women ...
... divorce them for their waiting period
and keep count of the waiting period.”
The scholars said, a man shall not
divorce his wife ...
... unless he follows Talaq Sunni,
the correct process of divorce.
What is the correct process of divorce?
He shall not divorce his wife
when she is having her period.
He has not had intercourse.
And he pronounces a single talak.
That is the correct process of divorce.
But if he gets angry and immediately
pronounce a talak ...
... without considering
his wife’s condition ...
his wife is having her period
and he divorces her.
This is an unlawful divorce.
Or, his wife is not having her period, but
he has just had an intercourse with her.
He divorces her.
This is also unlawful.
Or he pronounces triple talak immediately.
This is also unlawful.
Many men do not know
about the law of divorce.
This is a warning from Allah SWT.
A man shall be smarter and wiser
than a woman.
His mind is perfect.
He shall be more patient.
He shall not divorce his wife
at once just because he is emotional.
He has to take his wife's condition
into consideration.
It is possible that his wife
is having her period.
And that her emotion is not stable
that might make him upset.
And provokes him to divorce her.
This is forbidden in Islam.
Allah SWT said:
فَطَلِّقُوۡهُنَّ لِعِدَّتِهِنَّ
وَاَحۡصُوا الۡعِدَّةَ ‌ ۚ
Divorce them according the law.
"If you divorce them,
وَاَحۡصُوا الۡعِدَّةَ ‌ ۚ
“Keep count of the waiting period.”
It needs fikh.
Each women has different waiting period.
Women who still have their period,
they have different time of waiting period.
Women who are menopause
have different time of waiting period.
Pregnant women have different time
of waiting period.
Women who have never had their period
have different time of waiting period.
Men shall learn about this.
And Allah SWT said:
لَا تُخۡرِجُوۡهُنَّ مِنۡۢ بُيُوۡتِهِنَّ
وَلَا يَخۡرُجۡنَ اِلَّاۤ اَنۡ يَّاۡتِيۡنَ
بِفَاحِشَةٍ مُّبَيِّنَةٍ‌ ؕ
“When you [Muslims]
divorce women ...
Allah said:
وَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ رَبَّكُمۡ‌ ۚ
“Fear Allah, your Lord.”
A divorce is not only a worldly matter.
It is also related with one’s
consciousness toward Allah.
If you fear Allah, then conduct a divorce
according to the law ...
... taught by Allah SWT.
Allah provides the rules
specifically with His words.
So that we know that this is not
a simple matter.
“Divorce” is something that Satan loves.
Something that is strongly expected by Satan.
Allah SWT said:
لَا تُخۡرِجُوۡهُنَّ مِنۡۢ بُيُوۡتِهِنَّ
“When you [Muslims]
divorce women ...
... do not send them out
of their [husbands'] houses.”
A husband shall not divorce his wife ...
... be enraged, and expell his wife to their parent’s home.
When he pronounce to divorce his wife,
with a single talak or double ...
... Talak raj’i, with which
they can reconciliate ...
... his wife shall stay in his house.
Allah said:
لَا تُخۡرِجُوۡهُنَّ مِنۡۢ بُيُوۡتِهِنَّ
“Do not, O husbands ...
... send your wives out
of their [husbands'] houses.”
This verse shows as if
the house is your wife’s house.
While it belongs indeed
to you and your wife.
Why did Allah say بُيُوۡتِهِنَّ
your wife’s house?
“To show that she has the right
to stay in his house ...
... during the waiting period.
So, when a woman is divorced with
a single or double talak ...
... or during her waiting period,
she stays with her husband.
And she has the right
to receive provision.
So that both men and women ...
... can self-introspect
during the process of divorce.
They can contemplate their wrongdoing.
A single talak? Fine.
But, wait for the term.
If they can improve themselves,
they can get back together.
They can get back together.
Then Allah said:
وَلَا يَخۡرُجۡنَ
“Nor should they [themselves]
leave [during that period].”
She may not return to her parents’ home
when a talak is pronounced at once.
This is also forbidden in Islam.
لَا تَدۡرِىۡ لَعَلَّ اللّٰهَ يُحۡدِثُ
بَعۡدَ ذٰ لِكَ اَمۡرًا
“You know not; perhaps Allah, after that,
will bring about a [different] matter ...
... that He has decided.”
Then Allah said:
فَاِذَا بَلَغۡنَ اَجَلَهُنَّ
فَاَمۡسِكُوۡهُنَّ بِمَعۡرُوۡفٍ
اَوۡ فَارِقُوۡهُنَّ بِمَعۡرُوۡفٍ
وَّاَشۡهِدُوۡا ذَوَىۡ عَدۡلٍ مِّنۡكُمۡ
وَاَقِيۡمُوا الشَّهَادَةَ لِلّٰهِ‌
ذٰ لِكُمۡ يُوۡعَظُ بِهٖ مَنۡ كَانَ
يُؤۡمِنُ بِاللّٰهِ وَالۡيَوۡمِ الۡاٰخِ
Allah said, “When you [Muslims]
have divorced your wives ...”
If you have divorced your wives,
and the term is on going ...
... and they have [nearly]
fulfilled their term ...
... there are two choices.
فَاَمۡسِكُوۡهُنَّ بِمَعۡرُوۡفٍ
“Either retain them according
to acceptable terms.”
اَوۡ فَارِقُوۡهُنَّ بِمَعۡرُوۡفٍ
“Or part with them according
to acceptable terms."
Allah wills, a divorce is happening.
But if you want to get back together
do it in a good way.
If you still want to divorce,
do it properly and nicely.
Just like when you took the woman ...
... from her parents properly.
Return them in a good way.
وَّاَشۡهِدُوۡا ذَوَىۡ عَدۡلٍ مِّنۡكُمۡ
“And bring to witness two just men.”
If you get back together
and the divorce is canceled ...
... or does not proceed,
then bring two witnesses.
The same thing, if the divorce continues
bring also two witnesses.
ذٰ لِكُمۡ يُوۡعَظُ بِهٖ مَنۡ كَانَ
يُؤۡمِنُ بِاللّٰهِ وَالۡيَوۡمِ الۡاٰخِ
وَتِلۡكَ حُدُوۡدُ اللّٰ
“That is instructed ...
... by Allah to whoever
should believe ...
... in Allah and the Last day."
Therefore, معاشر المسلمين
especially the husbands ...
... you shall fear Allah SWT ...
... learn about the law of divorce.
You shall not pronounce
the word “divorce” easily.
Threatening your wives
with the word “divorce”.
Allah does not like this at all.
And Satan loves this.
بارك الله و لكم في القرآن
و نفعني وإياكم بما فيه
من الآيات و الذكر الحيم
اقول ما تسمع
وأستغفر الله ولكم
ولسائر المسلمين من كل ذنب وخطيئة
فأستغفره إنه هو الغفور الرحيم
الحمد لله على إحسانه،
والشكر له على توفيقه وامتنانه،
وأشهد أن لا إله إلا الله وحده
لا شريك له تعظيما لشأنه،
وأشهد أن محمدا عبده
ورسوله الداعي إلى رضوانه،
أللهم صلي عليه وعل أله وأصحابه وإخوانه
Verily, my fellow Muslims,
may Allah SWT bless you.
Among difficult matters
faced by a person ...
... is a divorce.
How could it not be?
The family that he has built,
love that he has nurtured ...
Children from his marriage
with his wife ...
... have to be destroyed.
This is a very difficult condition
both for husbands and wives.
But whosoever facing
this difficult situation ...
... with fear of Allah SWT ...
... Allah will give him a way out.
Therefore, verses in Surah At Thalaq ...
... promise a solution for people
who fear Allah.
After mentioning about divorce,
Allah said:
وَمَنۡ يَّـتَّـقِ اللّٰهَ يَجۡعَلْ لَّهٗ
مَخۡرَجًا
“And whoever fears Allah -
He will make for him a way out.”
وَّيَرۡزُقۡهُ مِنۡ حَيۡثُ لَا يَحۡتَسِ
“And Allah will provide for him
from where he does not expect.”
وَمَنۡ يَّتَوَكَّلۡ عَلَى اللّٰهِ
فَهُوَ حَسۡبُهٗ ؕ
“And whoever relies upon Allah -
then He is sufficient for him.”
اِنَّ اللّٰهَ بَالِغُ اَمۡرِهٖ‌ ؕ
قَدۡ جَعَلَ اللّٰهُ لِكُلِّ شَىۡءٍ قَدۡرًا
And Allah mentioned in the next verse.
وَمَنۡ يَّـتَّـقِ اللّٰهَ يَجۡعَلْ لَّهٗ
مِنۡ اَمۡرِهٖ یُسْرًا
“And whoever fears Allah -
He will make ease for him of his problem.”
Allah also said in the next verse.
وَمَنۡ يَّـتَّـقِ اللّٰهَ
يُكَفِّرۡ عَنۡهُ سَيِّاٰتِهٖ
وَيُعۡظِمۡ لَهٗۤ اَجۡرًا
“And whoever fears Allah - He will remove
for him his misdeeds.”
“And Allah will make great
for him his reward.”
Fearing Allah for what matter?
For divorcing.
Thus, when a man divorces his wife ...
... he is not only dealing
with his wife.
But he is also dealing
with the Lord of the Universe.
Allah revealed the law on divorce.
And Allah said:
تِلۡكَ حُدُوۡدُ اللّٰ
“These are the limits
that Allah gives.”
“This is Allah’s law.”
وَمَنۡ يَّتَعَدَّ حُدُوۡدَ اللّٰهِ
فَقَدۡ ظَلَمَ نَفۡسَ
“And whoever transgresses
the limits of Allah ...
... has certainly wronged himself.”
Many divorces do not bring any good.
Because when they are divorced
he has no fear to Allah SWT.
Many men divorce their wives
just like that because they are upset.
They divorce their wives when
the wives are having their period.
Many men jump forward to triple talak.
This also violates the rule.
Many men divorce their wives
while they have just had intercourse.
This also violates the rule.
Many men send their wives out from their house
immediately when they are divorcing.
He has no fear to Allah
when they divorce their wives.
Many women return to their parents’ houses
immediately when they are divorcing.
This is also a sign that they have
no fear to Allah when they are divorcing.
When they have no fear
during their process of divorce ...
... there is no solution for them.
They face a difficult life.
Their life is miserable.
They lead a tough life
after they are divorced.
For they have no fear
during the process of divorce.
But, when they follow Allah's rules
when they are divorcing ...
... Allah promises them many things.
يَجۡعَلْ لَّهٗ مَخۡرَجًا
“Allah will give him solution.”
وَّيَرۡزُقۡهُ مِنۡ حَيۡثُ لَا يَحۡتَسِ
“Allah will provide for him
from where he does not expect.”
Allah will expiate their sins.
Allah will make ease for him of his matter.
“And Allah will make great
for him his reward.”
My fellow Muslims,
may Allah SWT bless you.
Although these verses are related
with fear during a divorce ...
... but the scholars say ...
... these verses also apply
to all problems in this Earth.
So, whosoever faces problems ...
... and a believer will face problems ...
It is impossible that a believer
does not have any problem.
Allah guarantees to test believers.
Allah SWT said:
أَمْ حَسِبْتُمْ أَن تَدْخُلُواْ الْجَنَّةَ
وَلَمَّا يَأْتِكُم مَّثَلُ
الَّذِينَ خَلَوْاْ مِن قَبْلِكُم
Or do you think that
you will enter Paradise ...
... while such [trial] has not yet
come to you ...
... as came to those
who passed on before you?”
Allah SWT said:
الم, أَحَسِبَ النَّاسُ
أَنْ يُتْرَكُوا أَنْ يَقُولُوا آمَنَّا
وَهُمْ لَا يُفْتَنُونَ
“Do the people think that they will be
left to say, "We believe” ...
... and they will not be tested?”
وَلَقَدْ فَتَنَّا الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ
فَلَيَعْلَمَنَّ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ صَدَقُوا
وَلَيَعْلَمَنَّ الْكَاذِبِينَ
“But We have certainly tested
those before them.”
“And Allah will surely make evident
those who are truthful.”
“And He will surely
make evident the liars.”
Trials will come to us.
Even though we do not want to have them
Allah will certainly test us.
But Allah also promises.
Whosoever is tested, if he has fear
to Allah, there will be a way out.
If one is trapped in a trial ...
... In a problems that continues to happen.
He has struggled, but the problems
are still there.
He shall introspect and question his faith.
Has he not fear of Allah SWT?
Whosoever has fear of Allah,
solutions will come soon or later.
إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَمَلَائِكَتَهُ
يُصَلُّونَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ
يَاأَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا
صَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ وَسَلِّمُوا تَسْلِيمًا
اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ،
وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
كما صليت على إبراهيم
وعلى آل إبراهيم إنك حميد مجيد
وَبَارِكْ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ،
وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ،
كما,باركت على إبراهيم
وعلى آل إبراهيم إنك حميد مجيد
اللهم أغفر للمسلمين والمسلمات
و المؤمنين والمؤمنات
الأحياء منهم والأموات
انَّكَ سَمِيْعٌ قَرِيْبٌ
مُجِيْبُ الدَّعَوَاتِ
وَيَاقَاضِيَ الْحَاجَاتْ
اللَّهُمَّ آتِ نُفُوْسَنَا تَقْوَاهَا
وَزَكِّهَا أَنْتَ خَيْرُ مَنْ زَكَّاهَا
أَنْتَ وَلِيُّهَا وَمَوْلَاهَا
رَبَّنَا ظَلَمْنَا أَنْفُسَنَا
وَإِنْ لَمْ تَغْفِرْلَنَا وَتَرْحَمْنَا
لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ
ربَّنَا اغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا
وَجِدَّنَا وَعَمْدَنَا
وَكُلَّ ذَلِكَ عِنْدَنَا
ربَّنَا اغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا
مَا قَدَّمْنَا وَمَا أَخَّرْنَا
وَمَا أَسْرَرْنَا وَمَا أَعْلَنَّا
وَمَا أَسْرَفْنَا
وَمَا أَنْتَ أَعْلَمُ بِهِ مِنَّا
أَنْتَ الْمُقَدِّمْ وَأَنْتَ المُؤَخِّرُ
لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ
رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً
وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً
وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ (3x)
