أني علم أنه ما انتقم أحد قط لنفسه
إلا أورثه ذلك ذلا يجده في نفسه
Shaykh Ibn Tayyimiyyah said
One shall ackowledge that nobody
ever retaliates for himself
except that it causes
within him humiliation
فإذا عفا أعزه االله تعالى
When he pardons,
Allah honors him
وهذا مما أخبر به الصادق المصدوق
This is what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ
had reported
حيث يقول
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said
ما زاد االله عبدا بعفو إلا عزا
Allah does not increase a servant
for his action of pardoning except in honor
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ mentioned this
hadith relating to 3 matters
The first, said Rasulullah ﷺ
مَا نَقَصَتْ صَدَقَةٌ مِنْ مَال ،
Charity does not
decrease the wealth
The second, said Rasulullah ﷺ
ما زاد االله عبدا بعفو إلا عزا
the servant who forgives,
Allah adds to his respect
وَمَا تَواضَعَ أحَدٌ لله إِلاَّ رَفَعَهُ اللهُ
the one who shows humility
Allah elevates him
In appearance, if we give charity,
our wealth is reduced
It appears that way
The Apostle said, "No, if you give charity,
your wealth will increase, not decrease."
This needs faith
Physically, our wealth is reduced,
When we have 1 million, and
100 thousand, it leaves us 900 thousand
But the Apostle said,
it won't decrease
How does it not decrease?
It is Allah's business and needs faith
The Apostle said, No one forgives,
Allah adds to his respect
In our eyes, when people succumb,
it seems like they don't have power
People who succumb don't have power
I have a friend from Medina
When his brother was killed
he could not forgive the murderer
Because if they forgive,
they are insulted by the people
They will be called coward families
They can't forgive those who murder
their family members and have to retaliate
There is no way out, except
to retaliate or leave the village
This is difficult
In conditions like this, people want
to show they are great, want to reciprocate
The Apostle said, "if he forgives,
Allah will add to his respect."
This needs faith
If he succumbs,
Allah will add to his respect
Only Allah knows how;
we just need to forgive for Allah
Forgive people for Allah
Don't say, I'm able to kill him,
but I forgive him
No need to say that,
it is enough that Allah knows it
وَمَا تَواضَعَ أحَدٌ لله
إِلاَّ رَفَعَهُ اللهُ - عز وجل
the one who shows humility
Allah elevates him
It appears, when one shows humility
that he is low rank; on the contrary
Allah will elevate his rank
he shows humility because Allah SWT
So, if someone forgives,
be assured that Allah elevates his degree
That is the words of the Apostle ﷺ
