I think the principal element of science
is actually failure
[Music]
way I look at sciences that I try to
fail as fast as possible I want to make
some idea to not work as fast as I can
so that I can move on to the next one or
by some kind of fortune this idea
survives all of my tests that's what
science is surviving tests and that's
what we're trying to do when we're
trying to directly detect dark matter or
to infer what its nature is from
Astrophysical phenomena we're trying to
disprove ourselves these failures are
highly productive because we're still
learning a lot about the universe I
think that the failures that we see in
science are some the most productive
that I could imagine
