Biden goes full China Mark andri drops a
bombshell on Rogan Mr Beast sits down
with the Beast Cristiano Ronaldo Bernie
says Elon is right there was a recent
poll on Twitter that went viral for the
most attractive male Hobbies if you play
clarinet you're F speaking from
experience if you play the trombone
you're Fu that has gotten me nowhere
I've not gotten laid once and Trump
threatens more tariffs on the bricks
Nations we're here to talk about it all
let's get into it Drew Tom what's going
on welcome well it's all going on this
has been an absolutely insane stretch
man there is a lot of stuff going on the
Mark Andre and Corruption stuff on Rogan
was uh all over Twitter absolutely
exploding was an amazing episode
absolutely amazing but to hear somebody
break that stuff down in the way that he
did it was even though a lot of it I
already knew it was extremely
unnerving uh and this is not government
by legislation not government by
regulation but government by
Administration and it sounded pretty
ugly it sounded corrupt man like growing
up corruption did not seem like it was a
thing that happened in America but boy
oh boy was that naive my face was
definitely like Rogan's if we can pull
up that clip real quick he said it
better than I could but and that's why
this Administration freaked us out so
much is because it felt like they were
trying to become way more like China see
I was not nearly as aware as I should
have been about the all these things
you're saying I didn't know this I did
know about the banks and I certainly
didn't know that they were cracking down
on AI the same way they cracked down on
social media the AI think was very
alarming we had we had meetings this
spring that were the most alarming
meetings I've ever been in where they
were taking us through their plans and
it was what kind of can you talk about
it basically just full government full
government control like this sort of
thing there there will be a small number
of large companies that will be
completely regulated and controlled by
the government they they told us they
told us they just said don't even start
don't even start startups like don't
even bother like there's just no way
there there's no way that they can
succeed there's no way that we're going
to permit that to happen and I just full
government control it just I know that
it's corruption I always think of a dude
in like a trench coat who's like hey
come in the alleyway I'm going to do
business over here but at a government
level that's the vision of corruption
what I thought I was like okay let's
just step around the trench regulations
for you so seeing it at this scale I was
fly Gast it honestly I I was like this
is a conspiracy theory but how Mark
andrion kind of lays it out step by step
also he's been there he's been in the
meetings that was the thing that I found
really interesting one that he's also
engaging now with the Trump
Administration going to Florida which is
a whole another interesting thing the
fact that government right now doesn't
feel like it's seated in Washington
feels like it's seated in Florida
something fascinating going on there but
um yeah the fact that he's been in the
meetings that they've told him to his
face don't start startups in AI were
just not going to let that happen dude
that is the most unamerican thing I have
heard in a very long time that's
absolute insanity and that people think
that this is the way for America to win
and that was one of the things that they
talked about later in the interview was
uh the whole idea that Trump just keeps
repeating is America needs to win
America needs to win America needs to
win and dude that was the ' 80s like if
anybody wants to know what it was like
to be in the ' 80s it was just like
America is culturally we all felt like
America was going to win that America
should win and the fascinating thing is
that the the best thing life has to
offer you is that moment where you're
like everything I'm doing is working and
it's all about to changeed my life like
I remember the first time I went Mansion
shopping okay that's like a real thing
and I I didn't have the money yet yeah
but like I was so sure that we were
going to close the deal that I was like
oh I'm going to go look and Lisa
wouldn't go with me she was like too
paranoid she was like it's not going to
happen like something bad you know my
shake down I don't want to jinx it and
truly truly that moment of like is this
actually going to happen is better than
the payoff and I feel like the 80s and
maybe end of the 90s was that like whoa
America's like really winning we beat
Russia first it was like we're going to
beat Russia then like yo we actually
beat Russia like it really properly the
USSR collapsed and now like we're the
hedgemon this is going to be amazing and
that didn't end up being nearly as cool
as the build towards actually doing it
and so there's something Charmed about
this moment now where it does feel like
mourning in America it does feel like
there's sort of optimism in the air
you're getting even Democrats talking
about like I'm kind of glad that it
played out this way some have said just
outright I'm just glad Trump won which
is weird and something for them to
reconcile but then also I've heard
people say at least we lost decisively
right which is what I was saying in the
beginning like I don't mind losing just
make it decisive yeah and so that people
are able to embrace that I love that uh
and so this is a really fascinating
moment that I doubt very much uh will
live up to what actually happens or what
actually happens we'll live up to this
moment but um nonetheless it's a really
cool moment but getting back to the the
corruption part to just hear it laid out
like that that the government really was
going full China that we were tilting
towards that and it's crazy because he's
still in office um but that is I think
wildly problematic because of the
outcomes that we've seen and seeing the
average person rise up and say this is
just bad for my pocketbook uh has been
fascinating I think you also made a good
point mark about how in the 60s that was
the last time there was a political kind
of rearrangement and now I feel like
we're in that political rearrangement
where he was going across the
demographic board where like there was a
lot of Jewish liberals who had to look
in the mirror and realize like wait okay
hold on the line is moving now and
there's a lot of demographics whether
it's black Latinos men women all these
demographics that are now changing in a
way California is the most red it's ever
been Jersey I'm from originally it's a a
traditional blue slate but it went kind
of 48 to 52 this time like that kind of
Gap is closing so we're seeing a kind of
political wave of change whether people
are going from right to left or left to
right but the the usual suspect the
usual team are no longer there anymore
and I think that's what I'm looking more
I'm looking the most forward to is that
I don't really care what policy comes
out but I do hope that this new teamwork
this new reallocation of resources this
new renewed focus on a better America I
hope that at least lasts through all
this kind of political troyal that's
been happening nothing lasts so brace
yourself for that uh but here's what I
think is really interesting about what
you just said so the the reorganization
of the political landscape I really want
people to get smacked in the face with
one just absolutely brutal truth M what
people care about first and foremost is
themselves and we got into a period of
these crazy luxury beliefs where it was
like hey let's do all the green new
deals in the world let's globalize
everything and the reality is that when
the Democrats tried to message what they
had done for people over the last four
years people were just like hold on hold
on hold on like I'm in a worse place the
things that I buy are more expensive my
house is more expensive if I'm trying to
buy I can't my kids can't get on the
property ladder uh go into the grocery
store things are more expensive and so
trying to message to them that hey we're
doing something that will reap benefits
down the road or that this isn't going
to be as bad for us like we'll be able
to Forstall Calamity that's just a
terrible sales message people want to
know one thing am I able to buy more
with my money now uh do I believe that
my kids lives will be better than mine
and if they can buy more with their
money or their money they're seeing it
go up in the stock market and if they
believe that they're kids Futures are
going to be better that's it they're
going to vote for whatever party gives
them that and all of the sort of woke
stuff like even though some of it
spiritually like I'm super aligned with
it's a desire for other people to uh
live a wonderful life and to see people
rise out of poverty even outside of our
own country and all of it like I get it
spiritually I think it's wonderful but
the reality is if that comes at the cost
of someone's daytoday life they're not
going to be here for it and that is the
message that I think every one should
take away from that this is not
Republicans are brilliant this is not
Democrats are dumb this is entirely
you've got to make your constituents
lives better in a way that they feel in
economics economics and yes there needs
to be that sense of like hope and feel
yeah that like I feel good about my life
but the honest answer is you're going to
get 98% of that just by number go up if
People's Bank accounts are moving in the
right direction if they can buy more if
they're getting promoted if they're uh
if what they're making in in real wages
is going up compared to what they're
trying to purchase they're going to feel
good it's just ridiculously simple
speaking of kind of people Crossing
Lines Bernie sander had an interesting
tweet this weekend if we go to that next
uh tweet it's at the end Elon Musk is
right the Pentagon with a budget of 886
billion just failed its seventh audit in
a row it's lost track of billions last
year only 13 Senators voted against the
militari industrial complex and a
defense budget full of waste and fra
that must change so in this way Bernie's
kind of saying that doge is right what
do you think uh he's 100% saying that
and this is this is what populism looks
like so uh strip all of the negative
connotations away from populism please
because this is where everybody is
deranging themselves the reality is the
people that are going to get elected
right now are the people that say I
understand that things have gotten bad
for you and I'm going to fix it now the
odds of them being able to fix it easily
are essentially zero this is going to a
very hard problem to claw our way back
from but I think that we're marching
down the right path so what Bernie sees
is one area where they not only agree on
the problem but they agree on the
solution and dude this is where like I
felt like I was living in a Twilight
Zone episode for the last year I'm like
hold on the deficit is getting so
outrageous $1.2 trillion just to pay the
interest on the debt so these are all
people that are like oh my gosh like we
need more money to help more people and
I'm like bro $1.2 trillion
sheesh in interest okay that's not in
debt in interest and the debt is growing
by uh a trillion dollars every 100 days
dude that's so insane so if you want to
make people's lives better and you
believe that money is going to do it I
get that people think the path is to
print money but the reality is that's
all an optical illusion that only works
very briefly and the only thing that
works in the long term is the same thing
that will work in your household which
is pay your debt down and make more
money mhm and so that's the swing right
now it is back to like these Ultra
simplistic Basics Breaking Free of all
the luxury stuff and just getting down
to Brass tax I I hate this example but
like if I got audited seven times in a
row and I failed it like I would be in
jail yes and this is correct I haven't
made anything close to 886 billion so
it's one of those things where it's like
at what level does accountability just
stop being a factor like this is kind of
a crazy like this this is like this is
like a Cracker Jack stat like it doesn't
make sense that something with a budget
that can fail seven times and then still
get audited at like and just yeah it's
cool and nobody cares and that's the end
of it here's the thing people it's not
that they don't care if we went out and
pulled the team here at impact Theory we
would be mortified to realize that many
especially of the younger people they
just aren't paying attention to what's
going on dude I didn't even think about
voting until Obama was up for election
and then I still didn't vote CU I was
like California is blue he's going to
win no matter what from California
perspective so I just stood and watched
the TV as he you know got elected and I
was super pumped and yay it was amazing
did not pay attention at all through all
eight years of his presidency I just had
my head down and I was building building
building and I really feel like in the
recent term that what's happened is
suddenly people are realizing that who
you elect actually does matter and so
look I get some of this is the place I'm
at in my life that I'm just going to be
more drawn to this because I'm seeing
the consequences but I also really feel
like things ratcheted up uh in the Biden
Administration where and I Mark talked
about this in in the episode with Rogan
is he said when we elected or when Biden
got elected I didn't think it was going
to impact our business which you're
going to hear all the time I'm sure I've
said it where it's like look no matter
who wins like just put your head down
and build but the reality is that we are
now at a point where the government has
gotten so big that it is absolutely
crushing the soul out of people and so
what's happening is our government is
looking at our biggest rival China and
instead of saying we need to wildly
differentiate ourselves we need to
become more like China to out compete
China which is a huge mistake but you
can feel that pull between the left and
the right right now the right is saying
we want to return to freedoms Liberties
uh deregulating the government reducing
the size of the government reducing the
debt reducing the spend reduce reduce
reduce right whereas on the left unless
they reboot after this loss uh you've
literally been having them go down the
authoritarian route of wanting to have
control and this just comes back to the
dumb voter problem it is what do you do
when you look out at the world and you
see a bunch of people that cannot think
for themselves and the reality is
everyone paying attention realizes some
people cannot think effectively for
themselves that really is just a reality
and I think you just have to accept that
that's the reality that they are all
Sovereign individuals and no one is is
going to agree who the people are that
can't think for themselves anyway so
distrust yourself wildly first of all
some people think it's you I know that
some people think I shouldn't be allowed
to think for myself hey
so given that how you respond to that
problem I think tells you everything
about where that person or how that
person is going to govern and right now
the left looks out at people that they
don't believe are able to think well for
themselves and they think don't worry we
got you we're going to do the thinking
for you and it's been this top down
thing
and as they realize how well that works
they begin to ratchet it up and so it
worked incredibly well censoring people
because censorship works it worked for a
while right it works with money you can
manipulate money for a very long time it
works with the audits so that hey people
keep failing and you just know you can
go look over here and people will stop
paying attention because it's too
complicated and that's the reality even
I'm not going to go through I'm I'm
going to be at the headline that they
failed the seventh audit I don't even
know that that's true for all I know
Bernie is making that up but I'm not
going to look it up and so there's so
much information that people know that
they can sweep things under the rug and
this is why humans move in these Grand
cycles and they don't just dial in on
logic and attack that thing and so we're
in a moment now where the cycle has come
around to okay yeah this really is
broken and we really need to do
something different but keep in mind we
got here because groceries are more
expensive
if you had to give like a prep talk to
the left what would you say should be
their strategy going forward because you
seem to you understand human logic so
when people are in this moment what are
some ways that we can kind of get them
from this moment to become always and
forever you have to ask what's the goal
so you're saying they want to get
elected yes they want to come back in
2028 and kill it all right if they want
to come back in 2028 and kill it they've
absolutely got to show that we are the
party that is going to make your life
better right now today here in America
uh that we are not going to ask you to
defer that things are getting better off
into the distant future we are not going
to ask you to do things on moral grounds
like hey we want to um we want to raise
up uh people that have been historically
marginalized like that the whole trans
thing is just completely turned off a
ton of people they are very much out of
step with that uh that you're going to
make things better for people in
Bangladesh or whatever like all of that
stuff at least for now is not going to
play until you can make things better
here so you've got to come back to I'll
say more uh more Traditional Values you
don't have to be traditional but the
reason that something becomes tradition
is because it works over time and this
is why as a non-religious person I'm
telling you religion is powerful because
what it does is it's the original
self-help it consolidates these ideas
that have worked over time to keep you
from getting eaten by a Mastadon or a
giant lizard or from eating something
that's rotten and dying and so you come
up with all these purification rituals
and yada y and and you say the
omniscient being in the sky says it is
so so this is beyond reproach this is
why one of the key cornerstones of
religion is that it's ancient that
you're always like it's always the
startup right Scientology oh man like
you can get a driver's license picture
of elron hubard and that holds it back
but when you've got a couple hundred
years or God willing a thousand 2,000
years now it's like okay this is ancient
this is God this is you you can't
question it and that's how you get
things to carry over now as the
government if you can understand oh this
is powerful because it's withstood the
test of time it's like deviate from the
things that have withstood the test of
time at your peril because when you get
this was something I thought Jordan
Peterson was really on point with when
you get down to the most fundamental
bifurcation in the human mind between
male and female it's like dude is there
anything more fundamental than that
light and dark Pleasure and Pain maybe
so you've got light dark pleasure pain
then you've got male female it really is
that sort of down in the weeds because
of procreation so like that that is but
one example right and then the fiscal
irresponsibility so it's going to look
very much like the Playbook that the
Republicans are running right now
because the Republicans don't sound like
Republicans of old anymore they've just
adopted this um belt and
suspenders very simple let's reduce the
budget let's let's reduce regulation
let's make sure that we've got an
opportunity for growth here in America
let's make sure that we don't have
people flooding over the borders so we
can protect not only the people that we
already have but that we can also
protect our value system which people
are not giving enough credit to man even
if you are an immigrant to this country
you came here for a reason and so if you
see anything eroding that because
America is not about being born here
obviously but America is about Freedom
Liberty the pursuit of let's swap out
happiness with one of the original
private property okay which was a a
contender did not win obviously but was
a contender but if you want to talk
about things that give people um the
ability to make progress which is a
foundational pillar to human happiness
that one um if I can swap out happiness
for fulfillment right working really
hard to gain a set of skills that allows
you to serve yourself and others it's
like okay now yeah give me those people
from all around the world but if you're
just letting people in indiscriminately
you start to erode that you start to
trip fairness things which are embedded
so deeply in the human psyche um the
have problems so anyway it would
basically be something very similar to
what the Republicans are fighting on
which is great because it means that now
we're racing to the middle you don't
want these wild differences between the
left and the right so let's talk Trump
in the bricks countries he just
announced that he's going to put a
tariff on it has a dollar War already
begun and how do we fight back how does
this even happen in a on a currency side
so first of all I think it's important
to to note that what Trump is doing is
threatening we're going to see a lot of
this and look I don't know on a world
stage it might be better that people
just believe every word out of his mouth
because there's been so much ink spilt
over the fact that he postures and um
I'm sure we'll talk about uh the Vince
McMahon of it all here in a minute
but he postures a lot as a negotiating
strategy now I have mentioned before on
the show my big fear is that he's going
to have to do something to show people
that these are not Bluffs and so I do
worry about escalations of uh economic
Warfare I really worry about escalations
in physical Warfare kinetic Warfare uh
because he is going to have to show
people like if he goes in and tries to
um let zalinski and Putin know you are
going to resolve this and is not ready
to pull the trigger on something like
whatever that big uh whatever the the
grand gesture version is in this uh
conflict he's going to have to be
prepared to actually do it so that
everybody understands he this is not a
bluff now he will go in bombastically he
will go in like a bull in a china shop
um but you have to establish deterrence
and so I do worry about how he's gonna
do that anyway he's he's going to
posture with brics maybe he does the
tariffs maybe he doesn't he has said on
podcast before there aren't going to
actually be any tariffs because people
know that if you're going to try to
challenge me I you know will do this
stuff and it'll be terrible for you be
far worse for you than it's going to be
for us um and so he's betting that
people are going to back down now how
will Warfare on the dollar work Warfare
on the dollar which is a very different
question but the way that it's going to
work is this you're going to have to
back your currency by something and it
looks like they're going with gold cool
nice old going back to traditional value
something that's withstood the test of
time gold has withstood the test of time
we know that people value that so back
your currency with something Bitcoin
gold bitcoin's is too volatile right now
but anyway that there is a play there I
think on a longer timeline um but
backing it with gold I think is a very
shrewd move so that if the US which
hopefully they won't but if the US
continues to rack up the debt there will
come a time even I dude I have so much
money in treasuries right now because I
want to be as close to cash as I can
just so I can move when I want to move
um even I'm like huh there's only so
much more debt the US Government Can
rack up before I go treasuries are not
safe and I don't think people understand
how much of our economy is built on the
notion of a risk-free return that you
can loan your money to the government
and it's risk-free because they will pay
you back we're we're not in that
territory anymore now it may still be
the greatest risk that you can take in
terms of like hey from a risk return
ratio is still way way way way way
better than anything else all right fair
enough but it is degrading and degrading
to the tune of a trillion dollars in
debt every 100 days so that's how you
attack it you let never interrupt your
enemy while they're making a mistake I
believe that's uh mamoto Musashi Musashi
that said that um or sunzu one of the
two anyway um never interrupt your enemy
while they're making a mistake the us
until the Trump election certainly was
racing towards that now I don't know
that he'll write the ship on printing
money but if Doge goes well certainly we
can
reduce let your enemy make a mistake and
then the next thing is you have to build
a currency up and start getting trade in
that currency and because of the Nations
that are in there you break the Petro
dollar so that people are no longer
pricing oil in dollars if they start
pricing it in whatever the R&B who knows
um then all of a sudden you've you've
got a player and I know some massive
swing in the number of transactions in
dollars has already taken place now the
dollar is still dominant by far but
we're beginning to see that change and
as the famous saying goes how did you go
broke slowly at first then all at once
um you could see that happen with the
dollar I don't predict that in the next
5 10 maybe even 15 years but if they
keep printing money like mad and brics
keeps growing in strength all bets are
off is our only offense reduce spending
is there anything else we can do on this
side yeah there's two things you can
reduce spending and you can increase GDP
growth that's it D dude this is where
like when I say all Nature has to work
with is pleasure in pain people are
going to be in the comments oh there's
more than no there's not that that's it
bro like there are gradients of well
this one's Bittersweet yeah cool got it
understood like emotions can feel
complicated but at the end of the day
there's a reason they call it fight
flight freeze or fornicate what were you
going to say uh so that's that's your
basket like there's only so many options
right and so um you can call Desire
isn't quite pleasurable yes it is this
is why people people go gamble this is
why I was saying earlier it's more
exciting to think about buying the
Mansion than to actually live in it it's
crazy
so the reality is if you're trying to
write the government you can increase
GDP or reduce cost or both and that's
it Trump has a lot to work with does it
does he does have a lot to work with now
it's going to be in those two big camps
but the economy despite it's sort of
terminal Simplicity the economy is
wildly complicated and this is why you
can fail an audit seven times and get an
eth because people don't want to think
about it they don't want to parse
it well good luck with that Trump I
don't know economy was simple think
about this economist would be
ridiculously wealthy the economy is so
complicated that Ray Delio who spends
hundreds of millions of dollars on AI
Fiber Optic Cables like uh Workforce
that is the brightest Financial Minds on
planet Earth and risk adjusted returns I
mean where are they at like 8% 133% it's
going to be in that band of across the
whole asset class it's crazy so it it is
and anybody that's like just go buy
Bitcoin dude as that is my single
biggest investment and that advice as
you well know drives me crazy
um it's it is a very complicated game
kind of feel as we made our bed though
like we in what way it's it's is it too
big to fail now because we're already in
it we're already bought in so we have to
play by these the economy yeah because I
feel like yeah you're not backing out of
the economy but to your point that it's
like it's either I have to stop spending
or I have to grow that much we we really
have to grow then to get out of this de
I'm going to be honest I thought there
was more options I didn't know it was
only one or two there there's only two
things I mean this is the same with I
mean think about your personal finances
this is this is where I think people are
trying to make something that is deadly
simple seem really complicated and the
reality is whether you're running a
business whether you're running a
government whether you're running your
personal household there there is
there's really if you want to boil it
down there's only one thing and that's
the difference between how much you
spend and how much you
make that's it there's there's nothing
else so you start getting into the
complexities of like what are the things
that make me money why were they making
me more money before and they're making
me less or what is it that costs more
money like some people
uh there there are going to be so many
buckets uh in your personal life so
energy cost so gas heating and cooling
your home um but then there are going to
be things like your kid gets sick and
your insurance and it starts getting
complicated because it's like well wait
uh how do I balance the the amount that
I'm going to co-pay like sort of
guaranteed that I'm going to have to
outlay versus uh you know balancing
against catastrophic failure and making
sure that I'm protected there so when
you start getting into the nitty-gritty
of how you pull those levers and make
that differential go in your direction
then it gets complicated like how you
make more money is complicated that
making more money or spending less is
your only option is simplistic but this
is why I keep talking about the dumb
voter
problem the reality is that life
is very
complicated and I want to ruce people to
a concept called vmg velocity made good
you're going to hear me talk about this
a lot in fact we've probably already
talked about it it's something that as a
business guy you have to be obsessed
with because it gets to the why is this
easy to explain and hard to do velocity
May good as a sailing term that is
angling the sails in a way where you can
capture the kinetic energy of the wind
to your directional Advantage meaning if
I want to go to um the the Bahamas from
Florida but the wind and my sails are
angled such that I go out to the open
ocean and then starve to death uh we
have a problem it can be a three-hour
Journey or however long it takes to sail
from Florida to the Bahamas I don't
think it's that long uh or it can be
death all based on whether you're able
to angle your sales in a way to capture
that momentum so in one's personal life
how good are you at your job is that the
only Outlet could you start a business
could you trade in the financial
markets so there's a whole lot of ways
to make money but just think about a job
now you have to be good at the thing
that you do but you also have to be good
at negotiating for a raise and then
you've got to make sure that the company
is succeeding because it's a lot easier
to get a raise in a company where cash
is just kicking off left right and
center right so now it's like okay well
how do I get better at my job how do I
get so good at my job that I can
meaningfully help the company be
profitable and by the way just in that
some people have already checked out
I'll never be good enough at something
where I can help my company progress
okay now now you get into mindset okay
well you have to everything is
Downstream of belief so you have to
believe that you can get so good you
have to focus on a skill that actually
can benefit your company then you have
to go actually get good enough at that
thing all the while beating back all of
your insecurities which are going to
tell you that you're never going to be
able to make it only the person that
persists ends up winning and so on and
on it goes and this is why dude it is
very easy to spin up a YouTube channel
and talk to people and it is brutally
difficult to
execute you didn't blew my mind um well
now brace yourself for what's about to
happen with four years of trump because
it's going to be
hard man that was interesting and people
are GNA come for him and uh yeah man
it's just it is it is really hard to get
something going in the direction that
you want it to go very very
hard well that's one thing that Biden is
not going to have to worry about he is
on his way out Biden recently pardoned
his son Hunter um who had a gun case
that was set to get uh be taken to trial
1212 and he had a tax case sting to be
taken to trial 1216 so like right in the
nick of time dude he not just that he
pardoned him for a period of I think 11
years for anything that he did or may
have
done dude that was boss so Biden put out
a tweet pre um yeah well not not that he
might do because you never get away with
that but anything that he might have
done so meaning all the things that
people have already brought him up on
charges plus if you try to go find
something else then he's pardoned for
that already now Biden had sent out a
tweet I don't know how many years ago
but it said no one is above the law and
then Community notes jumped on it and
said given that you just pardoned your
son or given that Biden just pardoned
his son some people are in fact Above
the Law that's Savage dude that that is
I mean it's really crazy so the
corruption is being drugg out into the
daylight and this is why everybody
should go watch my episode with Martin G
has it dropped yet it has not oh guys
when it comes out you're gonna want to
watch this so he wrote a book called The
Revolt of the public and the whole
concept of the book so he was in the CIA
for like 28 years or something as as a
global media analyst and so how are US
policies playing in France would be an
example and so he's the guy that would
go check out what's going on in France
and he was like it used to be that you
just looked at two Publications that was
it and you figured out what they thought
and now you knew what the french thought
of a given policy now dude you are the
media now you are the media now
everybody and now it's like sentiment
analysis and trying to figure out like
here's something you and I care a lot
about about what percentage of people
are still watching at 30 seconds but
what does it mean yeah does it mean that
the intro was bad does it mean that I
spoke too slowly does it mean that the
information wasn't interesting enough
does it mean that the relationship
between the headline and the thumbnail
and what I was saying just doesn't match
closely enough like what what does it
mean and so now you're getting data but
you don't even know what it means
because there's so much data that now
they just become like these Scatter
Plots and you're trying to make sense of
all of that uh and so that gets very
difficult and if people understand the
way that that is really breaking things
loose the fact that we're going to have
all of this information that everybody
is a publisher now um that reading the
sentiment becomes extremely difficult
it's just a level of complexity that
gets really really crazy but it uncovers
things like the corruption that we're
seeing now and so everybody being able
to report on this community notes being
able to jump on it
it stops people from being able to have
a strangle hold on the
narrative what scares me though is it
makes those in power want to strangle
The Narrative even
more and so while it makes it harder to
do look at the Arab
Spring look like it was going to be
something wasn't something Occupy Wall
Street looked like it was going to be
something it wasn't something look at
the Chad the chop looked like it was
going to be something actually that one
didn't that looked terrible right from
the jump I just going to tell you
everybody at home watching I was like
well that's going to end badly uh all of
this stuff is because no
one H This is complicated but there's a
thing going on in society right now
where it's all about negation Martin g
talks about that um explain that like
what do you mean by negation so it's not
I don't stand for anything I'm not
trying to take you anywhere I'm just
saying don't go there so there's two
things you can do in life hey we're
making everything uh a nice dichotomy
today you can move towards something or
you can move away from something so part
of the reason that I think that Trump
got elected was he was moving towards
something so hey we're going to make
America great again cool like at least
I'm moving towards something I'm not
moving away from
um just don't do that so oftentimes
Barack Obama was called the chief uh
negator so he would just he was just
against everything but how can you be
the man and against the man and that's
where like now as people look back on
his presidency they're starting to
reevaluate like hold on a second you
gave us this sense of like people were
working against us but aren't you the
guy are you the guy that was working
against us so it was a really it was a
great strategy dude it got him reelected
absolute winning strategy banger but
becomes very hard for people to know
like this is what we're moving towards
MLK move towards right paint a division
okay I'm here for that want to be a part
of that that sounds like a world I want
to be in where I'm judged by the content
of my character not the color of my skin
right very clear very succinct ah I get
it uh but if it's just all of these
people are bad which would be my concern
about Trump moving forward is now that
he's in office and he doesn't have a
foil to fight against is he going to be
able to continue to give people a
positive thing to move towards it's a
great question anyway the corruption's
out in the open now and uh how that will
resolve is not clear
it feels good feels way better but it's
not clear how it's going to resolve I'm
not mad at that though cuz I think
Hunter Biden did get caught up in the
system he was a political prisoner
although he's not you're not mad at the
pardon I'm not mad at the pardon that's
his that's his that's your son if you
can help your son out and he lost
another son he I think that's one of
those things Biden might get killed in
the media but when he's by himself and
feel and thinks about himself I think
he'll be okay that he helped his son out
you know I think he will be okay that he
helped his son out because I think
politicians are interesting breed of
person that is perfectly happy to say
whatever they need to say in order to
get elected and they are just completely
comfortable with that I I will stop
short of uh going all the way to say
that they are pathological Liars but
hey uh so that unnerves me that's very
interesting okay Drew who I like and
respect does not mind that he pardoned
his son okay so I would like to
introduce the idea of virtue
of doing the right thing even when it's
hard now I hope that in the fullness of
my life I'm able to live a virtuous life
um I make no claims to be better than
the next person let me just start with
that but speaking of things to move
towards when you look at like somebody
like Marcus aelius writing in his
meditations which was his private
Journal PS by the way um I think Mark
andreon actually talked about this in
the episode with Rogan
uh he's writing this private journal to
himself and he's like despite the fact
that things are going to be hard that
people are going to be against you you
still have to move forward and do that
thing to try to lead people well to try
to take them somewhere positive now
again he's writing that to himself this
is not something he ever thought would
be found and published and all that so
he's not saying it because he thinks
he's going to get um points with other
people he's doing it because he thinks
this is The Virtuous thing to do that it
is the right way to lead your life
uh a few months ago I started really
getting obsessed with this idea that
people need to document their personal
morality their value system and the
reason is that you have to Anchor your
decision-making on something there's no
sort of objectively right or wrong
answer there is only you have a goal and
there's a thing that moves you towards
that goal and so if your goal's nasty
Hitler I'm looking at you Stalin I'm
looking at you Mao I'm looking at you
gangas Khan I'm looking at you if your
goal is heinous then even though you're
doing things that are effective to
moving you towards your goal
bad news MH this is where religion comes
in God says these things are right just
moral Etc but again your religion can be
gnarly and so at some point as a person
you need to
document this this is my set of values
this is how I believe people ought to
behave it's not a reflection of how I
believe the world is it's a reflection
of how I believe the world ought to be
it's the only way to Anchor your
thinking otherwise you're just going to
uh be
emotional yeah and I guess the way I can
rationalize the hunter Biden thing is
that he is I I hope that he is thinking
that he ought to do the thing that would
make him the best for my fatherly ought
he pardon his son for things that he
would not pardon anybody else's son that
nobody else has the power to grant that
he represents the will of the people man
and he's wielding that for his own
personal
use I understand I get it I I don't wish
to be in that position to take that
ownership that's a heavy decision but I
feel like if I had to rank order all
those other responsibilities and
priorities and people that are looking
up to me I have a different I have a
different response with my family so I
would take being a good dad and helping
him out even though that might a ostr
ostracize me politically thank you
that's interesting okay well this is
your value system on display I respect
that I hear what you're saying I don't
think you're crazy my highest value is
my wife uh but man if I ran for office I
would have to say the people are now my
highest priority so you you wouldn't
pardon Lisa no dude you can't wow you
can't
so God okay listen I'm not put in that
position I want to be very clear I don't
want any points for an easy answer to
give when I'm not facing something like
that uh but this is why they're known as
civil servants they are saying with my
life I dedicate myself to serving the
people now why anybody does that is
beyond me so I will never and I mean
never run for president hell no that is
wholly uninteresting to me uh I don't
know why people do it because people
come after you but people that are that
feel called to do that if you can do it
well so take uh Lincoln take a
Washington let's let's take Washington
who boy oh boy as a slave owner could a
case be made that like
irredeemable go read a biography on him
it's crazy dude he he gave birth to
America
literally so Peyton blood was on the
battlefield at the front line this was
not a guy who was like chilling at the
back a bunch of young kids to die like
homeboy was there homeboy was like the
last they did this one famous Crossing
where they were all about to be
slaughtered not not the the crossing of
the Delaware another one how many
timeses this poor guy go through stuff
like this and he was like sending
everybody go first go first go first and
they were like dude you are the leader
you have got to go now and he's like no
and he just kept sending everybody
across everybody across everybody across
and obviously almost dies doesn't but
and then could be king turns it down I
mean just time after After Time After
Time pays all these prices spends years
and years of his life of course being
hounded politically people saying like
what a loser like get this guy out I'm
just crazy so this is somebody who was
like not only am I going to be away from
my wife for I don't know how many years
the Revolutionary War lasted but years
this was not like months or weeks years
away from his wife his family risking
his life um and the just rewards that he
gets was just to return to the house of
the already had before he was president
I mean this was like really really that
is somebody who's living a virtuous life
who says I'm going to effectively
shorten my own life at Great risk great
Peril uh to give something to these
people I'm willing to die there's
something bigger than myself it's just
incredible man it's really inspiring to
me and there are of course history is
replete with these Incredible characters
that do things like that
um this is part of Why without trying to
put Trump in that Pantheon he's got a
long way to go uh but this is why people
responded when he got shot and then
stood up with blood streaming down his
face and said fight fight fight people
were like yeah give me some of that give
me some of somebody who is like could be
chilling on a golf course but instead of
that is here trying to make America
better now do I think he did it out of
ego from the beginning yes yes so again
I'm not trying to over index here but
it's that kind of thing that people
see what they wish they were and when
you can paint that picture for people
that I'm here to serve you I'm putting
you first I act in a way that you find
admirable like it's it's really
something man it's re it's awe inspiring
it's the kind of thing that makes people
lay their lives down when they see
somebody else do that kind of thing I
mean that's the greatest story ever told
Jesus on the
cross gangster I believe these things
we're going to take your life that's
fine I still believe them we're going to
take your life in the most horrible way
possible that's fine I still believe
them and from that 2,000 years later
people still roll up to
churches that's the kind of thing that
Echoes for 2,000 years it it is not the
pardoning of your son that doesn't
Echo man this is a deep one today I feel
that I feel that I feel that I got some
lessons in virtue I need to and some
Marcus Aus books I need to read yeah you
know you read that shout out to Ryan
holiday who who makes him far more
accessible yeah most death all right
changing gears to a lighter tone um we
had two of the goats come together uh
both Mr Beast and Ronaldo had a series
of videos over the weekend um just what
does it say about the state of media
where Mr Beast who had a YouTube record
of 20 million followers in a month and
then that record recently gets broken by
Ronaldo who got 60 million followers in
a month yeah that's nuts and like
meanwhile like news networks are
struggling to stay in business like what
does that say about the state of the
media right now you are the media now I
mean it it is really fascinating what's
happening okay so when I was growing up
if you wanted to get on TV not only did
you have to be good at a thing to be
entertaining but you had to convince The
Gatekeepers that you were good enough to
be the one got put on air and so this is
like do you know who Susan Bole is oh my
God this is one of the most incredible
things I don't for your generation this
might not hit the way that it hit for me
but Susan Bole was the she is a singer
uh I don't know if she's still
performing but she goes on um either
America no I think it was the British
version xfactor whatever the British
version of Pop Idol something like that
anyway she goes on one of those shows
early enough in in the thing uh
before anybody had seen A Moment Like
This she comes out Dy housewife uh not
particularly attractive doesn't look
like much really sheepish and she um
Simon cow asked her what song she's
gonna sing I believe it was on my own if
I'm not mistaken which is uh from lay
misar Rob just a brutally difficult song
and so he's like basically are you sure
can you please pick a different song
because this is going to be embarrassing
and she's like no I'm I'm going to give
it a go and proceeds to be the most
unbelievable Talent you've ever seen I
mean just absolutely smashing gorgeous
song incredible performance emotive her
voice is extraordinary and you're just
like oh my God this TV show just found
this undiscovered gem that doesn't
happen anymore you'd be on Tik Tok at 12
the world's just going to watch you grow
up being extraordinary we're we're going
to see all of it unfold before our eyes
if you've Got Talent the Tik Tok
algorithm is going to find you man and
it's just going to explode and people
are going to have 15 minutes forget
people are going to have their you know
n seconds of of Fame as their thing goes
hyper viral but you you won't have the
sense of the Undiscovered talent and so
what we're seeing now with with an
extreme example obviously when you're
getting 60 million followers uh in a
single month is somebody who spent
however many years he's been a football
15 years I mean he had a long career uh
being a footballer of building up all
this Goodwill of being really good at a
thing getting people to fall in love
with him and and care about him and pay
attention to him and he's extremely
talented extremely good-looking
extremely wealthy um and he's
charismatic and just really watchable
and so you're going to see people like
that have these second careers where
they don't have to convince anybody to
give them a microphone and so my appeal
to everybody out there because they're
all going to try to be Susan Bole
they're in fact no no no that's a
terrible example cuz she spent years in
quiet getting great they're all going to
try to be the 14-year-old Tik tocker who
goes
viral
instead pay attention go get good really
good at something that people care about
do work just like grind it out hard work
to gain a set of skills that matter to
you for whatever reason but also matter
to the world and work so hard that
people would rather just believe that
you were touched by God or that it's
magic that they you sold your soul to
the devil whatever like they just they
can't fathom that you would work that
hard to get that good at anything and
then step in front of the camera because
one of the things I am most grateful for
is that social media did not exist until
really the beginning of quest even then
it wasn't called social media back then
so I spent like 15 years building
businesses before I ever stepped in
front of a camera and so now I feel very
confident talking about building a
business or talking about mindset or
whatever because I I just spent so much
time getting good at it getting real
world results from it and then talking
about it and so we're going to see a
mixture of flash in the pan people
because there are no Gatekeepers and
then we're going to see incredible
second careers as people do what Ronaldo
did go prove that you're just a
worldclass talent that you're in the
conversation to be the goat and then
launch your channel like imagine Jordan
had launched a channel retires launches
a channel Kobe Kobe was about to be a
monster I am still devastated
that he died he would have a gigantic
channel for sure 100% he would have
leaned into that I see that Kobe channel
would have been dope I'll repeat to Kobe
I'll repeat to all the greats man all
right last but not least there was a
recent poll on Twitter that went viral
for the most attractive male Hobbies at
the top of the list was reading foreign
languages and playing an instruments um
what do you say to the young men out
there who are looking for women and need
a hobby do we just follow this list like
what's no get
rich get rich where where's get rich on
this is like if if you properly place
like there are 10 other things that
women care about and then oh what are
the most attractive Hobbies fair enough
fair enough but let me tell you if you
read sci-fi like I read my wife has
never once been like o look at you
reading Ready Player one like that's so
hot uh definitely not like my wife could
not care about that now me knowing
things that I got by reading that my
wife finds very sexy but let me just let
me cut right to the chase gentleman as
somebody who had absolutely no game and
had to learn this stuff you have got to
get to the point where you have
confidence you are good at something
that the world cares about and you can
execute against that to get access to
financial resources if you do that women
like power women like power so people
are not going to like that and I don't
give a [ __ ] the reality is what the
reality is and boys and girls we are
past the era where we lie to each other
about what is true and that one is true
now poers become a weird word for
people doesn't mean that you're trying
to control other people it just means
this this is the definition of power if
you ever here it Escape my lips this is
what I'm talking about power is the
ability to close your eyes imagine a
world better than this one open your
eyes acquire the skills necessary to
make that world a reality and then make
that world realityy that's power and
dude that's what women are into So
reading false knowing things yes foreign
languages maybe that one actually is
pretty cool because it's like somebody's
pulling a magic trick they can see a
thing you can't see right they
understand a language you don't
understand it is absolutely fascinating
playing an instrument only the cool ones
Maybe guitar maybe piano maybe drums if
you play clarinet you're [ __ ] speaking
from experience if you play the trombone
you are [ __ ] that has gotten me
nowhere I've not gotten laid once
because of the trombone if anything it
turned my wife off so I'm just telling
you right now uh only certain things
matter cooking cooking I can see that
one if you can make a wicked good meal
you're in business now my wife will tell
you I've never cooked for her that is a
lie I've never marinated anything for my
wife and she's got a weird definition of
cooking which pre requires that I
marinate something I I don't know what
that's about I like this list got
personal I don't know what it is what is
that woodworking
wood I think that's really just
masculinity they just want to see a guy
work with his hands but if if Bill Gates
took up woodworking it does not help I'm
just gonna tell you that right now now
his money that's gonna help but if Bill
Gates came out of the gate as a
woodworker not GNA get him anywhere I
can't read that next one what does that
say this is like an eye test now
painting writing painting if you're good
art is Art I could see people getting
into but you've got to be good writing
again depends on what you are uh Seth
Goden I love you but I don't think that
writing is the thing that that's going
to get him girls U all right gardening
lies that one's just an outright lie
unless it's like a prepper thing all
right uh those are terrible get money
get power get money get power be
confident know things that matter that
and then by the way let me give you a
real good one at the end of the day if
you can make women feel better about
themselves when they're around you then
when then they feel when they're away
from you and they're attracted to you
you've got the magic formula but you
have to make them attracted to you and
that's about power it's about um
confidence it's about what else do women
just really get into funny is good being
in
shape these things will get you
somewhere the other stuff not so much
that's all I got all right everybody if
you haven't already be sure to subscribe
and until next time time my friends
fight that corruption get Beyond it
we're on the precipice of something it's
morning in America all right everybody
until next time be legendary peace if
